I recently bought another battery grip from Amazon at around the same price, and although it had good reviews, it didn't fit my camera correctly, whether I got a dodgy one, I don't know, but anyway, it went back and I decided to have one more go and purchase this one. It arrived this afternoon and I've already attached it to my camera (550d). What a pleasant surprise. It fits like a glove, no harsh screwing in, trying to fit it correctly, I just put in the battery end, tightened the lock (it didn't take much) and there you go. Very good quality at a quarter of the price of Canon. Brilliant.

Fantastic, well built, fits perfectly,works perfectly and about a quarter of the price of rip off Canon. Love Canon cameras but for crying out loud, don'tbuy their accessories. One thing, make sure you spend 2 minutes to read the simple concise and straightforward instructions, i.e. fix grip to camerabefore inserting battery slide, and there IS a place for removed battery cover.

I was planning to buy a genuine BG E8 Canon grip as I did'nt wanted a cheap feel to my EOS 700D.I read a few reviews regarding the Meike Battery grip from a few photographic forums and decided to go for this one.I was pleasantly surprised with this purchase.It looks,feels and operates like a genuine product to me.Highly recommend this particular grip

Well made grip for a fraction of the cost of the Canon part, also comes with additional compartment for AA batteries. Only downside is the time taken to deliver from China.
