This BPM does all that most people need and is one of the cheapest on the market.GOOD=====• Easy to use and easy to read• Accurate (measured against our Omron M10-IT which we checked with our doctor’s machine).• Consistent, showing similar results from readings taken a few minutes apart• 22-36 cm. cuff, making it suitable for older children and all but the biggest of adults• Traffic-light indication of World Health Organisation classification of results• Arrhythmia indicator• 90-readings memory for each of two users• Useful storage bagNOT SO GOOD===========There’s really nothing to complain about, at the current £24 price, but here are some of the features offered by more-expensive BPMs.Few people will miss them.• Nothing to help you position the cuff or your arm correctly• No way of deleting known inaccurate readings from memory, e.g. if you accidentally record your partner's BP as yours• No automatic multiple successive readings• No analysis apart from averaging of all results (e.g. can’t differentiate between morning and evening readings or choose a period to average)• No ability to transfer results to a PC/tablet/phone for analysis• Not rechargeable but you could of course use you own rechargeable batteriesThe instructions are simple to follow. If yours comes without English, you can download them from the link I’ve added as a comment. As long as none of those negatives bothers you, I don’t think you’ll find a better BPM. At the price, it thoroughly deserves five stars.

Recently my blood pressure was slightly high, not enough to need medication but enough to worry me, I’m a 51 year reasonably healthily male, I run and cycle a fair bit, but do have IBS and another stomach condition which may have set the blood off, thought If I could monitor my pressure then I could react accordingly, the Medisana was offered to me so thought I’d give it a try, plus who doesn’t like a gadget. The monitor looks very well made and has a good sized strap. The user manual is very good, well written and does cover everything about the monitor and also the readings and what they mean.Using it did take me a few attempts to position the strap, but I think that is something that you’d have to expect,I bet your GP didn’t get it right first time when they started using one.Its a large unit, good clear display, All worked great, reading seemed accurateThe monitor I like, I’ve had a number, a couple of this brand, a couple of Braun and a few non branded, this is one of the better ones, there’s no be able to down load the data to PC etc, I’ve always found them a bit confusing, plus you do it a couple of times then forget to keep it up to date.I do think this monitor, its very good, anyone with high blood pressure, diabetes or heart condition should consider one

I have tested a number of BP monitors in the past, but none as good as this one. Its a small compact device and has two parts to it, the unit and the sleeve, which attaches to the unit via a rubber tube. It takes 4 AA batteries (which are supplied) but it does have an input for AC adapter which can also power the unit, but it is not supplied. It is also clear the manufacturer spent a lot of time creating the instructions, as they are comprehensive.. A few years ago you needed telepathy with some products to work out how they operated, as the instructions were too brief and badly written. I am glad to say this company has listened and the instructions for this product are clear and detailed and includes a guide to the blood pressure readings. To use you insert the arm into the small sleeve, allow some slack when you tighten it and turn the machine on. Its that simple. After a few seconds the LCD screen displays the very clear readout of Blood Pressure and Heart Rate, use the included BP chart and you can work out how high or low your own BP is. It is that simple!Overall, this is a well made product which I am happy to Highly Recommend.Sample product provided for review.

This is a great BP monitor, with a large comfortable cuff. The monitor has the following features:• Accurate blood pressure measurement on the upper arm• Display items: systolic, diastolic, pulse, date, time• Extra large, easy-to-read display• 90 memory slots for each of 2 users• Calculates average value of all stored data• Very large cuff (arm circumferences 22-36cm)• Very large digits for easy reading (up to 22mm in height)• storage bag• Certified medical deviceThe automatic table unit shows the results on the clear display and stores them so that fluctuations can be monitored. The top number of the reading is systolic blood pressure - the highest level your blood pressure reaches when the heart beats. The bottom one is diastolic blood pressure - the lowest level, while the heart relaxes between beats.Ideally, we should all have a reading of 120 over 80 (120/80) or below. At this level, we have a much lower risk of heart disease or stroke. Normal blood pressure is having a reading over 120/80, but below 140/90. Anything above that is classed as hypertension. As blood pressure can vary, take three readings in one sitting and record them all.

I've tried quite a few blood pressure monitors and this is one of the better ones. It comes in a grey drawstring carry case and appears well constructed. It takes four AA batteries, which are provided. This has a lovely big clear display and is easy to use. You simply attach the cuff to the machine, strap it onto your arm and press the big green button. It then takes the reading. The reading appeared to be accurate for myself and my wife. It gives you the systolic and diastolic pressure readings as well as pulse, date and time. It also flags up any arrhythmia. The cuff is large – it claims to fit an arm circumference of up to 36 cm.The machine comes with eight separate books of instructions.Initially, I thought there weren't any English instructions but they are to be found on the back of the German ones. You have to fold the sheet the other way. So, be careful not to throw away instructions that appear unintelligible. You will be needing them.It also has a memory function whereby you can store up to 90 readings. This is possible for up to 2 users. It appears to be well made and Is an accurate reading.

After a few scary moments recently, I've decided that a blood pressure monitor is needed in order to check how I'm getting on. I really like this monitor - it's large, can sit easily on a table and has a large display and huge buttons. Everything you need is included - even the batteries! It comes with its own drawstring bag, as well as the unit and the armband. It can also be plugged into the mains, but you'll need to provide the AC lead. At first, we really struggled to set up the unit because the instructions were in every language but English! Turns out, it's on the back of the German instructions! The manual is also online... Once over that initial hurdle,it was easy to fit together and get started - the instructions tell you everything you need to know about reading your results, which is fab! The armband is also easy to wear (and large enough for everyone to use) but will be a bit uncomfortable when it's expanding! I really like this product and will be using it regularly!

This is essentially a standard electric monitor with a large-digit display and extra-large cuff. It is much nicer than my NHS unit, particularly the screen. The overall build quality is also very good. It provides all the standard readings as well as indicating any arrhythmia. In terms of accuracy I compared it to both a manual and (cheap) electronic monitor and the results were similar, although not exactly the same. This unit was slightly out compared to the other two, although which is actually most accurate is of course a mystery. The interface is quite different to my NHS unit and the instructions are a necessary read - and they are bizarrely on the back of the german leaflet. It allows two users to have separate memory functions for past readings, effectively allowing two people to use all the functions of the machine.Overall I find this a very nice upgrade of the £10 Lloyds / NHS versions, and many will find the extra large cuff and digits a great help.

Very basic, but will do. The coloured WHO-approved indicators are a nice touch. Mind you, the arm band will only go as far as 36cm. This would be our third Medisana product ordered this month. They’re all good quality. But if you’re looking for even better quality, try one of their newer blood pressure machines. I got one with Bluetooth just last week and it’s head and shoulders above the rest.I’m taking a star because it had more extensive signs of wear than I expected, which I’ll put down to cheaper plastic than some of the other Medisana products we have. I think it’s a very old model, to be honest.

there isn't a UK manual and the beep for every heartbeat, which doesn't seem to be able to be turned off, is annoying. Other than that I like this machine. I like the cuff covering a good size range and I like that even though it fits a large arm it isn't wider than a smaller cuff would be (Omron's large cuff is longer and wider so was a pain to fit on). The display is very clear and the machine can be used with batteries or an adapter (available separately). Just allow the beep to be turned on and provide a UK manual and I'd be 100% happy.

Seriously...8 thick manuals! I couldn't find the English one, but fortunately it is all pretty self explanatory. This came with 4 batteries in a little pack, alas they had leaked all over the little pack, my hands and some of this device...Luckily a little warm water and a damp cloth came to the rescue. Those two points are why it looses a star. Other wise it works well, it has a handy drawer string pouch to put it in and keep it safe and clean. Easy to figure out.I cant say how accurate it is but I can't see any problems with it.

This blood pressure metre is of good construction and after settling down it takes fairly accurate readings. I have found that you need to take two or three readings for it to give a decent reading. When I first used it it was all over the place but it did settle eventually. It is worth persevering, is pretty good value for money and I would recommend. The thing I really like is that it gives sound on the heartbeat after reaching the top reading. This is great in listening to see if the heartbeat is regular.

Very easy to use, so easy in fact it's harder to find the GB instructions (they back on the German leaflet).Setting up the date and time is childishly simple as is the memory function, and the generous cuff is much appreciated by anyone with larger arms!On the whole this is one of the best BP machines I have ever used!

A good blood pressure monitor....It's easy to set up and comfortable to use.The arm band is reasonably large and is easy to put on ....The monitor is easy to use and clear to read...It's a good idea to have your own monitor as it's helpful to check your blood pressure. So a good, easy to use monitor...

it is a very good machine and I use it almost every day to measure my blood pressure! It is easy to use and the digital number is big to read. I will recommend it to any one who is going to buy a blood pressure set.
