Having read up on BP instruments and reviews it was clear that accuracy and repeatability was not a foregone conclusion. I therefore went for a renowned brand and a higher end model. Getting one that you're not sure is providing an accurate reading is worse than not having one. The whole point of getting the instrument was to monitor BP reliably and be alerted when the person's BP trend deteriorated. Paying more was therefore justified and important. This has AFib which I assume is also a good thing. It also can take an average of three readings which, again, instills more confidence in the accuracy.Bluetooth works fine. Easy to set up and the App is well designed allowing trend to be viewed for 2 people.Accuracy not rated,

My GP understably stopped blood pressure checks during the Coronavirus isolation and suggested buying a personal BP monitor. I wanted something with Bluetooth to maintain a record, but as the price went up with each option I looked at, I decided to go for this one that provided a heart rhythm check too. The screen is huge, the cuff is long enough for my big arms and basic functions and the Bluetooth setup are pretty straightforward.I knocked one star off ease of use, purely because some of the functions are hidden behind two buttons pressed or long presses that aren't immediately obvious nor easy to remember (don't throw away that instruction book).

I was recommended this device (X7) by my doctor to monitor my wife's blood pressure. It appears to do a good job from my limited experience of such devices. It as 2 main users and a guest user. It records 100 entries for the 2 main users, and these results can be uploaded to cloud storage. It also as an app, that is easy to set up and pair to the device. The app suggests a morning and evening test, and keeps a nice and clear display of the results. The app is very well designed and easy to get familiar with. This unit also as a dedicated heart beat monitor, which is a good addition. Overall I'm happy with this device and the price paid for peace of mind and a possible early warning of something not right with our health.

Day one of use.POSITIVES:It was easy to apply the cuff and take the readings.The cuff is reasonably comfortable while taking the readings.The readings are done quite quickly.Readings are clearly displayed and the memory is easy to access.NEUTRAL:I have nothing to compare the readings against, so I can't say how accurate they were.NEGATIVES:I can't find anywhere in the Instruction Manual how to set the Guest Mode. Also searched the online version - no joy there either.(minor) Instruction Manual Part 2 has 7 other languages side-by-side with English, which makes it cluttered - Part 1 is better, as you can discard the pages for languages you don't need.(minor) The carry case could be sturdier,

I don't often take the time to write reviews but this blood pressure monitor is really excellent and so easy to use. It connects really well to our Iphones and is pretty comfortable to wear on the arm. We have a variety of arm sizes here at home and the arm band is just perfect, even for a very small arm. There are 4 of us in the family and the only negative in this machine is that you can only have 2 'connected' users. The solution is to measure those who don't need their blood pressure monitored so regularly in 'guest mode', which means that the machine doesn't save the result or send it to your iPhone. I would strongly recommend this product.

I never thought I would need one of these at home, then you get old !!!.Purchased to trend twice daily measurements. Due to inbuilt software, plus the Omron phone app, you are able to store, trend readings. I have been using this for about a month, readings are very similar to the GP Omron unit.Connection to phone to sync data, can be a bit flaky, suspect this is phone not unit related. Reboot phone then bluetooth syncs as is should.Printouts from the app give you exactly the data the GP requires for long term analysis.In built memory feature, allows you to look back through previous readings on the unit, without needing to use the phone app.Bonus, 2 user, plus guest.

An excellent blood pressure monitor. It's from Japan so is of a good quality. The cuff fastens on the arm easily, however for people with larger arms, you would need a bigger cuff.The nachine itself is relatively easy to set up and comes with 4 AA batteries. In other reviews there is some complaint about its Bluetooth function and the associated Connect App.Personally I found it easy to connect the device to my smartphone and the Connect App. You can also sync the conbect app to ther health apps, in my case Samsung Health to record your blood pressure.It also records your BPM and gives a warning if your blood pressure is high,

I'm happy with the build quality of the device. The screen is big and easy to read. It gives me a very professional feel during the measurement.It's definitely a device you can trust.My original comment mentioned that the bluetooth connection was unsuccessful and so I was not able to utilise the smart phone apps to monitor the trend. Now, I have to give an update. The bluetooth connection is indeed working if you choose the correct country in the Apps. This is something other buyers from other countries need to be aware.The Omron apps are also be able share data with Apple Health app (if you are an iPhone user) which make even better.

The Omron X4 Smart is excellent except instructions could be clearer regarding pairing with Omron Connect App. The App installed ok onto my android phone. Instructions with the App require the screen to be blank on the BP monitor. However after inserting batteries screen is not blank and therefore cannot pair with BP monitor. I found that you need to set time and date manually as shown on item 6 of the enclosed instruction manual 2. Once complete the screen will go blank. You can then pair as shown on the App.Software appears to be working ok. Accuracy will be checked at my next visit to the doctors.

In all respect good value for the cost. Accuracy is unknown at this stage.I do however have a question about the long-term serviceability with the connector seal of the armband to the monitor.I suspect that repeated plugin /plug-out of the connector every time the unit is used will cause premature wear of the seal, resulting in inaccurate readings.As a result, until I receive clear advice to the contrary, I intend stowing the unit, after use, with the armband in the connected position.May I please receive a response to my comments from the supplier? John Wiseman

I have upgraded from a 7 year old Omron machine to this one.Well packaged and fairly easy to set up. I have had problems signing on to their cloud and still not on,. Bluetooth connection was easy.The machine is more compact than my older one and the cuff is better as the machine tells you if cuff is not on right.It was easy to set up as I have had one before. However if you are new to it the instruction pamphlet leaves a lot to be desired.Easy to read display and operation.I have dropped a star because the travel/storage bag is flimsy .

This is a quality piece of equipment. Very easy to initially set up with the phone app. Very easy to use, the upper arm cuff is very rigid and not in any way soft but you get used to that and in a way it gives you reassurance it's on correctly. The only complaint I have is that the storage bag you get is beyond pathetic, very flimsy and too small for the device, it's a shame it doesn't come in the case that they sell separately, which suggests to me that they know the flimsy bag is not fit for purpose and just after a bit more money from us.

Well made and full of tricks. Links into smartphone without problems. The reports are absolutely mind blowing. The instant display of morning and evening results - all colour coded is great. All linking into the Apple Health app and even the apple watch is the icing on the cake giving a complete picture of all your vitals, health and activity - even myfitnesspal links in in a roundabout way.. The charts are excellent giving you a clear picture over the past month. The last comment is that the Afib feature works a treat. The best by far.

The unit arrived in the display carton, which had all but burst, it is very lucky every thing was still in the box, and not damaged. The display box is not suitable for shipping.The actual unit seems to work really well, and the cuff is easy to apply one handed. Measurements are displayed clearly.Nice feature is the user switch allowing two people to keep track of their own measurements.I've only used a coupe of times since delivery so time will tell.

The included batteries were dead which made the set up very complicated as I didn't know what was supposed to light up - as it happened nothing came on! I was supposed to read two sets of instructions, plus a third leaflet, then look at a web site then download an app. Please - just one thing at a time! I think it was the app which finally got me up and running once I had replaced the batteries. So far so good - seems to be working OK.
