I bought this for my 87 year old mum, who struggles with anything a bit technical. It arrived very quickly, and appeared to be as good as described. There is a little setting up to do, the very first time you use it, but the setup instructions are clear and easy to follow. After that it's realy simple to use. My mum has no problem. There is a cuff with a soft rubber tube attached. You just push the free end of the tube into a hole in the monitor, and you're done. The cuff is firmer at one end, and shaped like half a tube, to nestle against the arm. It is flexible enough to fit both thinner and thicker arms. The rest of the cuff is soft, and wraps over the arm and back onto the cuff, where it is secured by velcro. The cuff is plenty long enough to fit even very large arms. Once fitted, you have just 2 buttons to worry about. You press POWER (top right)to turn it on, and wait a few seconds for the display to show it's ready. Then you press START (bottom right) and away it goes. The cuff pumps up, slowly releases, and your blood pressure (upper and lower) and pulse appear on the screen. When you're done, you simply pull the tube back out of the monitor, roll up the cuff with tube, and put it in the small storage box provided. The monitor goes in there too. The monitor will store a whole series of readings, so you can track how your blood pressure is changing over several weeks, and you can take the readings to show to your GP if you wantMy mum shows a much higher blood pressure reading after struggling up to the doctor's surgery than she actually has when she's at home, and will probably use this evidence to get her medication reviewed.

After being tested by an Omron M6 at my doctors surgery I was impressed at the ease and quickness of the monitor. I decided that my old faithful wrist monitor must be replaced.I checked out lots of reviews on blood pressure monitors on Amazon and throughout the web. I was down to two makes and decided on an Omron, but which one. I finally decided on the M7 as it had a longer length tube. When I first got it I tended to tighten the cuff too tight and it was sore and I got high readings. After a few tries I wrapped the cuff less tight around my arm and let the formed shape of the cuff fit comfortably on my arm.(It does tell you this in the instruction book)This did the trick, although the pumped up pressure is pretty firm against my arm, it works a treat. For me this machine is great and I would recommend it to others.I wish Omron would include a telephone number in their instructions. It would be useful for getting some more information ie. how much will a service cost after 3 years and the cost of spares in general. A deliberate omission?

We started off with the usual rapid delivery from Amazon, pleasing. The machine itself is solid, has a crystal clear display and is generally a pleasure to use. We'll have to take accuracy as a given. After all, it says I'm alive...and I am! Obviously all it is giving you is blood pressure and heart rate. It is up to you as to how you understand and use this information and, although it comes with a handbook, it's best to consult your GP if you intend using it for anything other than curiosity. My only gripe (and it is a general gripe, not aimed at Omron in particular) is that it doesn't come with a DC adapter. Furthermore the plug for the 9v DC input appears to be non-standard so any universal chargers you may already have are unlikely to fit. Thus you either use batteries or you buy an expensive Omron adapter!

The M7 model from Omron,Is the one Used by every GP Surgery and Pharmacy I know of,The one I just purchased from Amazon was a replacement for my old M7My old M7 worked Faultlessly for more than 7 YearsMy health condition means I must record my BP every dayand the reading Must be Accurate,You can send your M7 back to Omron for a fee,and get it recalibrated if you think it needs it,I should say my old M7 still works fine, it is just thatsome of the lines on the l c d display have faded out with timesometimes they show sometimes they are empty..But before you think this is a criticism, remember the M7 I had, worked every day,and lasted longer than 1 TV and 2 Fridges ,,,lols !There are new models from OmronI was a bit temptedbut I just Trust my M7,it is Very Highly Recommended by me..

Chose to buy another Omron as I'd had previously used an Omron BPM for the past 18 years when I I'd been diagnosed with Angina and it served me well but during that time but then must have given up on me as it ceased to function correctly and so, having well passed it's sell by date, was disposed of accordingly! The M7 was considerably less expensive than my original and, having read umpteen reviews on the M7, which has far more gizmo's in it's functioning than my old one, I placed the order for the M7 which arrived within a few days, well done Amazon, ( but do try and pay something towards your presence in the UK!) and the M7 seems to be doing it's job well as it seems to be doing all that it "says on the tin".It's early days yet but I'm well pleased so far!

Having recently suffered a heart attack I though a monitor such as this would be a useful guide to recovery. I decided against the wrist-type as being potentially more inaccurate and went for this model because the British Hypertension Society site seems to indicate that this brand is generally well-regarded.On delivery, it was simple to unpack and set up. Operation is a doddle and the monitor readings seem pretty accurate (I had a hospital check up the same day and the BP readings were in the same area as on this monitor) so I'm happy with this purchase as representing good value for money (although bought from a marketplace seller as £30 cheaper than the Amazon price).I think I could safelyrecommend this to anyone contemplating such a purchase.

I bought this monitor because my blood pressure measured at my doctor's surgery was higher than normal and the doctor recommended tablets. This coincided with a recent report by Which? that reviewed blood pressure monitors and happened to mention that some people have a blip caused by 'white coat syndrome' in a doctor's surgery. The price was very reasonable on Amazon so I bought this model. My daily tests at home over several weeks showed my blood pressure to be normal. It is very easy to use and takes only a short time. It was also used by another person who found their blood pressure to be high so this gave me confidence the instrument was accurate. So I have avoided becoming a pill junky using this monitor.A very worthwhile buy!

I've had the Omron M7 now for around 15 years or so and it's still going strong. If you're one of those like me who suffers from what they call 'White coat hypertension' which is when the moment you see a doctor or nurse putting the cuff around your arm to take your BP and simply telling you to relax, then that's the time my BP and pulse hit the ceiling. It means I can take a few readings of my BP and pulse in the quiet peace of my office at home and take a photo of the results to show my GP or company doctor. The only thing my GP did say was that they should be calibrated regularly and looking at the Omron manual they recommend 2 yearly for correct function and accuracy. I do hope you find this review useful.Regards M

The Omron M7 is an excellent DIGITAL AUTOMATIC BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR. I purchased it about 2 weeks ago as it has an extra large cuff for wrapping around the arm (medium size cuffs are only for people with small arms ie children & small adults which comes with most BP Monitors XL cuffs can be purchased at a supplement). The advantage of the XL cuff not only will fit small adults but also adults with with XL arms, it will fit arms wih a circumference of 220mm to 420mm.The Omron M7 reads your Systolic Reading (the high figure) your Diastolic Reading (the low figure) as well as your pulse reading. The Omron M7 comes with batteries supplied it also has date & time facility & can record up to thelast 90 readings.

I ordered this product after reading various reviews here on amazon and on other sites. I must say it works exactly as advertised. Most importantly the BP measurements are precise. I like that it keeps an internal memory of the last 90 or so measurements and it displays a mean average of the BP as well. The cuff is comfortable and is applied almost effortlessly to the arm. The BP measuremnts are displaed in large numbers for easy reading. One thing i would like to see in a future product (if it isn't already available)is to have multiple databases to store BP measurments (i.e. one for mom one for dad) because now if one measure's anothers BP, then the mean BP measurements will be incorrect.

The unit comes in a plastic box to keep it safe when not in use and appears to be a quality product. It is really intuitive to set up and works by use of a cuff on the upper arm which I was advised by my doctor was better than a wrist one. The only reason I gave this four stars is because the batteries (AA x 4) supplied only lasted for 15 tests which either means the Panasonic batteries didn't have much charge or the unit will drain batteries very quickly. You can get an AC adaptor but this is not supplied and needs to be ordered separately which for a high end product I think is poor. From the perspective of how well it works, then it is excellent.

Recently I had problems with high blood pressure and was using one of these machines from my GP to self monitor 4 times a day.It is so easy to use it is unbelievable and it even remembers the dates and times as well as the blood pressure values and also works out your average.I looked at many different models and decided to stay with what I had been using. I was told that the arm one's were better than the wrist models.Amazon .co.uk was as efficient as always and it arrived as stated. It came with batteries ready to go and it was considerably cheaper than other websites. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a machine.

Ordered this for my wife, but we fight to use it. Really easy to operate, and does away with the white coat effect so that readings are more reliable. We don't bother with the graphs - problematic with two users in any case - but the daily reading keeps a close watch on bp health issues. You also feel good for the day if you have an encouraging reading! Ordered this product with another supplier, who kept us waiting. Cancelled and went to Amazon - much cheaper and delivered in 48 hours.

We purchased this particular blood pressure monitor on the advice of a doctor as it is very easy to use as it is automatic. It is certainly reassuring to take your blood pressure regularly when there is a problem and every now and then when things have settled down. It gives accurate readings, (matched by readings taken at the GP surgery), so we are pleased that we made this purchase. It is packaged in a hard case so easily and neatly stored between uses.

Having used a 'wrist' BP monitor for a number of years I decided to purchase a 'proper' arm cuff monitor. I wanted one that was laboratory tested and provided a reliable test result with the minimum of fuss. This item certainly fills the bill. My wife and I have now used it for several weeks and it is easy to use and provides reliable readings quickly. The memory function excellent. Highly recommended item at a really good price and with swift delivery.
