How much do you have to pay to get more than just weight and BMI? I tried some less expensive scales that decided to give no data. For the Omron you enter gender, height and age. Do read the instructions. After that you get accurate readings and it shows previous value so you can see changes clearly for each of the values calculated. You may not like the readings but at least it all works as it should. It is well built so hopefully will give years of service.

The trouble with these analysers is that they don't take into account how athletic you are. If you are knocking on a bit and muscular , it still assumes that you're just overweight. I bought one with the hand sensors in an attempt to get a better reading. The reality is that you need to set your age as 20-30 if you want an accurate reading.
