What an amazing bit of kit. How do they make this for £13? I haven’t a clue.The main part you stand on is tempered glass and it feels like really good quality. The display can be changed easily to Kg or Lbs, or Lbs and stones. It even comes with batteries in place.There isn’t a lot you can say about the scales. They work, they’re excellent quality and they look great.Then there’s the free included tape measure - this is such a thoughtful addition because whenever I weighed myself, I had to go hunting for a tape measure - and it was fiddly.I have read a lot of reviews about these scales and the free measure, and I have to say I really laughed when I saw the comments about the missing 5 cms.The tape is the most perfectly thought out and designed freebie you can imagine.

In general, I am pleased with my new bathroom scales however, I have only awarded four stars as an overall rating because I was very disappointed to discover that Imperial weight is only recorded in pounds. For those of us who don't care for metrication, every time the scales are used one has to divide the reading by 14 to find out how many stones one weighs. Whilst this may be doing wonders for my mental arithmetic, it is an inconvenience I could well do without.It might be argued that I was naive to suppose from your product information that readings in pounds would also appear in stones. It is worth remembering, however,

I have been diagnosed as diabetic and wanted some scales to accurately record my weight and subsequent reduction of it. My other scales were quite old and I found it difficult to read the weight.These scales are fantastic, really modern looking, black to match the tiles in the bathroom with a blue readout and such a difference to use.They can be set to kilograms, stones and pounds. I prefer imperial to metric and they even give the ounces.I am really happy with them.The only downside is that I am heavier than I thought, my old scales being inconsistent and completely worn out but that is no reflection on my lovely new scales and with careful diet control,

Great inexpensive set of digital scales. No fancy BMI calculations (not sure how accurate those are anyway…) and no wifi or app integration. Step on, read weight, step off. The most important criteria: consistency. I've used scales before which gave variable readings, and you'd need to try 3 or 4 times to get a consistent value you would trust. Not so with these, the reading is the same every time, which makes the morning weigh-in a doddle.Accuracy: comparing my weight with a different set of (more expensive, with BMI sensor etc.) scales, these read the same. So they do appear to be accurate (for cheap home scales anyway).Convenience: the backlit display is super easy-to-read,

When I first tried these new scales, they were wildly inaccurate compared to my previous scales. However, when I moved them from my bathroom (which has a vinyl floor laid over creaky floorboards - i.e. with a little bit of movement) to a properly hard floor, they worked perfectly. The method of switching the display between kilograms and stones or stones and pounds is slightly fiddly, in that it can only be done when the scales are powered on (they switch off fairly quickly after you step off them). However this is a minor quibble. The display is clear and the scales seem to be both accurate and consistent. They are excellent value for money - highly recommended (on a hard floor!).

This set of bathroom scales arrived securely packaged and in perfect condition.We both thought our bathroom scales were broken, so ordered this set mostly based on existing reviews.It's very straightforward to use - place it on a hard flat surface , step on then off, then back on again (this allows the scales to recalibrate . Or something.). It's easy to set what you want the reading to be eg kg, stones etc.I do like how the reading stays visible for a little while after you step off.These are also smart and look fancypants in the wet room.Ah. The old ones? Not broken after all, we have just put weight on. Hey ho.I hope you find this review helpful, thanks for reading.

This scale is just as advertised, well-made & sturdy, and accurate as compared to another scale I own, and having weighed some items the weight of which I already know for sure.It doesn't work on carpet or on unstable surfaces, which is, however annoying, the case with all other such scales, so that's just something to learn to live with.The extra measuring tape is a bit of a joke as it doesn't begin at 0cm, so you always have to subtract to get the actual value. I got a tape with the exact same issue when I bought body fat calipers. I wonder who's behind this ridiculous design.I can't comment on the battery life yet.Overall, a good basic product.

Fantastic. We have two pairs and they are so accurate. They MAKE you want to change your weight because you can see every tiny variation.Quick delivery, safe and sound.Most impressed by the fact that I weigh the same, by the sink as I do by the door! With our old scales (won in a raffle!!!) You could lose three pounds by moving them about!!!!Ayway, joking apart, my fabulous partner (Type one diabetic 30 years) desperately needed to loose weight.Due to scales accuracy he has been encouraged when his loss has slowed down, as he can see that he has still lost even the smallest amount. GREAT, FANTASTIC, PRODUCT! BUT BUT BUY!!

I’ve always used Salter scales but recently became skeptical about them as my body fat has gone up (intentionally, thankfully!) but the numbers have not been changing. I researched for ages as all scales on the market have reviews saying they are inaccurate. I was recommended this one by a specialist nutrition company though and really do have much more confidence in the numbers. I particularly like how you have to sort of step on to calibrate it first and that it’s giving the same readings when I weigh myself a few times for accuracy (unlike Salter scales). The only disadvantage is it’s quite heavy and it’s glass.

I was first looking for a fitbit-integrated scales. They didn't have particularly great reviews and I also baulked at the £100+ prices for many of them. One of the reviews said just get a cheaper set and input the data myself, so that's what I did.This set of scales has a nice large LCD display which is very easy to read. There is a button underneath that when pressed changes the display between kilos, pounds and stones. Very useful. I also have no problem with its accuracy as it showed exactly the same weight as I got from a visit to the doctor's the other day. It runs off 2 AAA batteries which were supplied.

These scales seem to work accurately and reliably. I initially had some problems with them showing different readings each time I stepped on, but the Etekcity customer service got in touch with me after seeing my review and advised me to recalibrate the scales. This can be done by simply stepping on the scales and stepping off straight away - the display will show 0'0 signifying a successful recalibration. Then try stepping on again for a reading. After recalibrating, all of my previous woes disappeared.I should also add that I am quite impressed by the proactive customer service offered by Etekcity.

EDIT:I had originally received a faulty item and was unhappy but the customer care team were excellent, contacted me immediately and replaced the faulty item with a working unit. Great scale! Thanks for that!The scale shows different weights each time you stand on it. I weigh myself 5 times in a row and each time the weight differs sometimes with up to 1-2kg. I tried different floors etc thinking thay might affect it but no. Totally inaccurate and shows your weight to be less than it actually is. I had 2 scales, one which lasted me for 5 years from another brand which was amazing.

They offer an accurate reading. But also once you step off they keep the reading for about 20 seconds, so if you have to change glasses or anything you have plenty of time to record the reading. However, having said that the display is generous and lights up - so you can see the reading really clearly from standing on the machine. It is slim and neat and a solid scale. One of the best I have bought. Because so slim, it slides under the bed no problem. Came well wrapped and really pleased. Have used a while - as do not like to review without thoroughly testing

This looks good (though I keep it out of sight so my children don’t play with it!) and is simple to use - step on and it lights up. Wait for the scale to show zero then step back on and wait for a couple of seconds. I have it set to stones and pounds but you can change it to kilos using the switch on the bottom. I purchased this one because it came with a tape measure, and it showed up as the same price as the same scale without the tape measure. The retractable tape measure starts at 5cm so I’ll stick with my old dressmakers one which starts from 0cm!
