Very pleased (no pun intended!) with the excellent blinds (hence 5 stars) but the delivery of four blinds - directly from the same company (two identical - delivered on seperate days) was spread over nine days - first delivery 11th May; second delivery 12th May and last delivery today 19th May! Had to stay in all three days to sign for the deliveries - couldn't they have been held for one delivery?! After just one knock on my front door the last delivery today was left propped by the side of my front door in full view of the path and road! By the time I'd opened my door the driver was on the way out of my garden - no signature required it seems! Had I not been in it would possibly have been stolen!

Ordered these blinds on the 18th June estimated delivery was the 25th of July but the arrived early on the 8th July. These are very stylish and give my home a modern feel which is great. The only negative is that while the brackets are included screws and wall plugs are not, so had to go and buy these to be able to put them up. For the price of these blinds I would have thought they would have been included. I would recommend these blinds but beware you will need the screws and wall plugs! I bought three blinds for the front of my home and my partner installed these with ease, but is very competent are diy.

The Salter mechanical scales always show the correct reading every time, so now I am seeing my weight loss correct every week on week with no shocks or disappointments when I vist the doctor. I love these scales.I have purchased 2 sets of digital scales in the past which could have me a stone under or over my actual weight within one weigh in and various attempts to guess what my actuall weight was in between about 5 readings. This was soul destroying in the past when I was trying to keep motivated with my weight loss plan.

I bought these scales to replace my digital scales that were almost always inaccurate. The Salter ones have been brilliant, no messing with batteries and they are consistently accurate. They are of very good quality and have a large dial so it's easy to see the weight without having to try and bend down or get someone else to read it for you. They are easily stored and look good in a modern bathroom too as they are black and chrome. A 10 yr guarantee too, you can't go wrong. I won't revert back to digital scales now.

I really like this set of scales. They're reassuringly chunky. They fit my size 8 feet on with ease as well, which is always a plusThe scales are accurate. I've had electronic ones from weightwatchers, Fitbit and Salter, and all varied in their measurements.These scales keep stable and give consistent readings. The only thing I will say is that the individual lb measurements aren't easy to read, so if your sight isn't brilliant, be wary, you'll be leaning over to read your stats!

Just over a year ago, we purchased a Salter electronic bathroom scale, and it suddenly just stopped working. Two changes of batteries did not get it working again, and the cost of sending it back to Salter would have been prohibitive, to we decided to revert to a mechanical scale. Dial is easy to read, seems to work consistently, and the only downside is that the feet tend to slip on a tiled floor as you stand on it. Heavier than the electronic one, but not too heavy to cope with.

Very pleased with my purchase. The dial is much larger than the image which, I think, adds to the classic design; the large dial provides a clear reading (my eyesight isn't great so I needed to be able to read it clearly); they are so much more accurate than my previous digital scales which cost much more yet frustratingly gave me a totally different reading every time I stood on them; even though they are fairly inexpensive, they don't look cheap so, I think, worth considering.

So, in my innocence, I went for digital scales before purchasing these ones. Big mistake. The results we got were often inaccurate, but worse still, the digital display for the scales also stopped working, which was strange, but never mind. Fast forward to this purchase and already we're seeing far better and more accurate results. I feel this sits well within the whole "if it ain't broke" parameters. If you're considering Mechanical vs Digital, go with the former every time.

Great large dial. I need strength 3 glassess for reading and can see this dial with ease. Pound increments are close but you can read near enough to your goal. Smooth easy wipe clean no grooves to collect anything that splashes on the bathroom floor. Not to large either just right!! I have had a few sets of digital scales but there always seem to be problems with them batterys and wont come on first step etc. Should of bought these years ago especially with the long gauratee.

Easy-to-read scales even for our imperfect sight. Perfect size for sizeable feet and lovely non-slip grip. Weigh brilliantly even on carpet and most importantly the needle never gets stuck... not so far at least. Excellent value compared to electrical scales that never-endingly eat at the wallet changing batteries. AND don't have to wait for bloomin' thing to set itself... it's a spontaneous reading. The scales look gorgeous in our bedroom. Excellent. Thank you Argos.

Bought to replace a digital scale that was very inaccurate subject to how it was placed on the floor. Could vary by a kilogram! This salter scale is mechanical and very accurate no matter how you place it sensibly. The dial is easy to read in both kilos and stones and pounds. It is also easy to calibrate by turning a wheel at the front underside. Only had to do this initially so far. Together with a discounted price at Argos this was a great purchase.

I needed "bilingual" scales for home as I am a kilograms person but my partner needs to see stones and pounds. Only mechanical scales seem to offer this functionality so I bought these. They seem to be accurate enough - I did not notice a massive difference with my previous ones.The only thing I'd say is being quite tall, I am a bit far from the display and find it a bit difficult to read (especially as kg are written smaller than stones & pounds)

These scales are to replace a salter set that we must have had for 20 years or more. The old ones still work perfectly but have got very shabby. We have had digital scales more recently which seem to be temperamental so thought we would purchase the old fashioned style again. They work absolutely fine and have plenty of room for standing. My only criticism is that you really have to stand quite still on them otherwise the reading waivers somewhat.

Exactly what I wanted - Salters bathroom scales without batteries! I steered clear of the cheaper versions, which hadn't received good reviews. These scales appear substantial, look smart/good, they work as you'd expect, and I (with my failing eyesight) can still read them when weighing myself and without my specs on :) Recommended. I've only had them a week but I'm pleased with my purchase and if they let me down I will update this review.

So far i am quite happy with purchase,no setting up as ready to use and needing no battery,which s a big plus as batteries are toxic.only thing i had to do was line the scale to zero. the design is pleasant to look at.its made from plastic so maybe not to be moved around or dropped,but i am happy with purchase,dials are easy to read even without my glasses,i am happy to be keeping an eye on my weight with this easy to use product.
