I’ve been aware of Anker’s sister brand Eufy for sometime, which focuses on health and lifestyle products, yet I have not been able to find a product that I both required and that would not empty my wallet at the same time (sorry RoboVac). Luckily thanks to a recent 20% sale and an interest in learning more about my health, the BodySense Smart Scale has graced my doorstep. Robust build quality with sleek-stylish two tone glass and plastic construction should give years of use and fit any surrounding. Now I’ve had or used various scales in the past, from digital back to the more old fashioned mechanical (yep the spinning wheel ones) but this is my first “smart” scale, which besides the usual weightage given, also gives a more in depth breakdown of your body composition (BC) thanks to 2 pairs of built-in sensors which cover;Weight, Body Fat, BMI, Water, Muscle, Bone, BMR, Visceral Fat, Lean Body Mass, Body Fat Mass, Bone Mass and Muscle MassSo for those of you like me, that were curious as to your fat vs muscle percentage but didn’t have the foggiest how to go about it, problem sorted.Setup and UseOnce out of the box and the included 4AAA batteries are in place, the scale is good to go for measuring your weight. Depending on your location (or just unit preference) you can set the weight measurement to be shown in kilograms, pounds or stones via a push button no the rear of the scale (plus customisation in the app for recorded data). The more than adequate bright LED display will, however, only display a conventional weight measurement. If you are wanting to make full use of the scale's features, some additional setup is required.Firstly you will need to download the 'EufyLife' app from your relevant Appstore (Apple iOS 8+ and Android 4.3+ supported), complete a quick registration via the app and then enter some basic personal stat's which will be used in conjunction with the scale to determine how your BC results add up. Once you've setup the app and turned on your device's Bluetooth connection, the scale will be detected and pair from within the app automatically (don’t try via the bluetooth menu). The scale and app support up to 16 different users (large families sorted) which can either be on the same device or separate.Note: for body composition (BC) measurements to be taken you must be barefoot, socks are fine for just weight but skin contact is required for 'smart features'Once your good to go app and battery wise, simply step on the scale and view your weight live in the app which is followed by your BC shortly after (about 5-10 seconds). The results are easy to understand for any age or tech level thanks to a intuitive colour system of blue (low), green (normal), yellow (high) based from your statistics entered (red also present on overall weight to indicate excessive). Values and/or percentages (depending on the measurement) of your BC are also provided for those who want more than just a quick reference result. Expanding each measurement in the app gives a short description to help you better understand what the measurement actually relates to. Data that is collected can be easily shared with other supported health apps such as Apple Health, to keep your health data in a single location but my preference so far as been for Eufy's own offering for trend tracking.Pro’sOut of the box readyQuick BT connection and user friendly appAccurate, when tested against two other digital scales (thanks to my parents for loaning me theirs)App prompts if a vast difference in current and last weight measurement is detectedSleek, modern finish that will fit any bathroomClear LCD displayAccurate weight measurement (compared to two other non-smart digital scales)Re-calibration function via theCon’sScale does not play well on short pile carpets or bathroom mats, which other digital scales have no issues with. Weight measurements can be impaired by several pounds but app does warn about the drastic change in weight when this happens.VerdictFor my first smart scale I'm very impressed, not only at being able to visually track how my progress in the gym is translating on the scales but at the build quality of the scale and how intuitive and easy to use the app is. Will certainly be keeping my eyes open for future Eufy products as or if they make it to the UK.

This is our first foray into the world of smart scales. We've had FitBit style devices for some time, but with growing kids we thought it was about time we started keeping a track of the family. The Eufy BodySense Smart Scale is half the price of similar Nokia models. The Eufy line is bbrought to you by the same people that produce Anker devices so you can be assured that there will be measured level quality and reliability. As ever I'm sure that you can find a similar product cheaper from a far east factory, however it wouldn't have the 15 month no nonsense warranty you get from Eufy. When the box arrived it was well wrapped and survived the Amazon delivery, you shouldn't get anyproblems with this device being dropped off by even the most clumsy of delivery drivers. In the package you'll find some leaflets, and under the scales themselves 4 AAA batteries that power the device. It's quite a large scale, certialy big enough for my huge feet and it's a well polished design with a nice shiny front face and four feet to the rear. It's intended for use on hard surface for obvious reasons o don't think you can put this on a carpet.Initial setup it dead easy, search for the Eufy app in either the App Store, install the Android or iOD app and then follow the instructions. It took me about a minute to get it set up and it asks for your gender, height etc. Now when you stand on the scales it takes the measurements and sends them via Bluetooth 4.0 to your phone. It then tells you how fat you are and how much you could stand to loose! The front page of the app on iOS tells you your body fat percentage, BMI, water percentage, muscle mass, bone density, BMR and visceral fat levels. You then get a breakdown of muscle weight and body fat mass. You can choose to read our figures in metric or imperial, so don't worry if you perfer Kg, or stones over lb.Readings are stored chronologically so you can compare over past figures in a timeline which gives you an easy way to visually see any obvious trends.I am not sure how accurate the (non weight) readings are, however it's a technology that's been around for some time, and the weight measurement it pretty much spot on. It has nice readable figures which should be legible for even the most long sighted person.I'd say this is an ideal product for a family or partners who are looking to monitor their weight perhaps as part of a measured exercise scheme. The scales can be paired with multiple devices, or you can set up multiple profiles on the same device to monitor different people.Overall it's well built, easy to use and a nicely polished device. The app is well designed and works well wich is brilliant as I've seen smart devices which work well before but have poorly updated software support, this isn't the case here. Now to swap some of this extra fat for muscle.

I've been using this scale for about 5 days now and it seems good. It reliably gives the same weight in a single session, and it's values for the various other measurements are consistent. Of course my weight varies from day to day so that's actually a little more impressive. Some of these values seem... useless, I have a "high" amount of bone, but that these values are not varying wildly despite typical daily weight variance, gives me an amount of faith in these readings. There's exactly two reasons I've knocked a star off. #1, the necessary android app to access the smart features of this scale requires a concerning amount of privileged and information. If you're the kind of person that uses duck duck go out of privacy concerns, consider this a 0 star review for yourself.#2, I bought this because of the advertised Google Fit integration. The app does permit you to connect with Google Fit. This feature does absolutely nothing.Every day I must manually enter in the weight reading from the Eufy app into the Google Fit app.I see sources from Eufy ranging from "it has google fit integration" to "google fit integration is coming" and customer sources that suggest it used to have google fit support but that doesn't work any more, I can only hope that at some point it starts working again. As of July 11th 2017 at 2:30 AM when I woke up and weighed myself, the Eufy App does not have functioning google fit integration. If google fit integration via an android smartphone is the most important feature for you, do not trust anything Eufy says; this may be the scale for you, or it may be worthless for your needs.I'm keeping it, this isn't a big enough problem for me, and who knows, maybe later today they put out an update that fixes/adds the feature.Other critical things that I failed to think about before it arrived:It uses AAA batteries. I can't imagine these last all that long but it does spend nearly all the time off and some mice get by on fewer for upwards of a year, we'll see.The app cannot get data from the scale unless the app is open and somebody is using the scale within range. Now I have to train myself to pick up my phone as I'm getting out of bed. It'd be way better if they had some kind of BT LE connectivity where the app doesn't have to be open /while/ the scale is being used, I'd be OK with the app having to query the scale when it's opened. It's just the two things in one place necessity that makes it considerably less easy to make use of.That said, if you forget, whatever, the scale will store multiple sets of readings and load them all into the app next time it has the chance.

My first smart scale and I have to admit that I'm impressed. Right from the off. Delivery was swift, as was packaging - the feel of a quality product. Great initial impression. The scales themselves look expensive (and they are !!). They come with a flashy two toned glass top, "eufy" branded, all centred around a metal disc, located centrally. The base has 4 feet with ridged rubber pads to stop the scales slipping whilst located on hard floors. The feet are hard floor suited, in fact I read that using these on carpet could produce inaccurate readings.4 AAA batteries are included within the packaging. So the only other thing required to make full use of these scales is the "Eulylife" app, available for both Apple and Android. If you don't download the app, you can still use the scales and they will still measure your weight, but that's pretty much it. To change between lbs, stones and kg, press the button located within the battery compartment.Setting it up via the app, you will need an email address and a 'complex' password !! Post this, set up is straight forward and instant. Once completed, you can input your personal statistics via the app, add family members and have the Eulyapp communicate with Apple Health (I'm using the app on an iPhone).Following input of personal statistics, you're then asked to place the smart scale on a hard and flat surface and the barefooted, to stand upon so that the scale can analyse your entire body composition. Every details is instantly synced with the app.Once synced, you are provided with a way to track numerous statistics including weight, body fat, BMI, water, bone mass, muscle as well as calculations using the above, e.g. Muscle mass = bone x weight.I cannot comment versus other smart scales, but accuracy seems consistent with specs about me that are known. It's very quick to analyse a range of body specifications / data and provide me with the means to monitor the trend of various measurements of my body's data. Finally, the display on the scale and within the app are clear and easy to read. The app itself provides you with a range of data and tells you whether your specifics are at the low, normal or high end and even provides the ability to cater for numerous other family members. No complaints here, particularly as it delivers real time and extremely useful data, enabling me to better monitor my weight and other body statistics. Just remember to use in a hard floor as using on carpet throws up some 'interesting' statistics.

This is my first smart product and it is a very positive entry into the smart home arena. The scale arrived on time, packed tight in a white cardboard box and wrapped in easily recyclable materials, which I highly appreciate. The face of the scale is a two-tone glass panel with a shallow metal cylinder which I feel could have been used to adjust the measurement units instead of a button in the battery compartment, It feels very strong and I have no doubt this scale will last a long time, well worth the money. The scale has 4 rubber feet which do a good job preventing the scales slipping around, the scale must be used on a hard floor for accurate measurement according to the guide, however,I have found only the thickest carpets affect the measurement. This is a smart scale so only reaches its potential if used in conjunction with the EufyLife app on the Google Play Store & Apple App Store, the scales only measure mass, when used with the app BMI and Body Fat can be measured - the body fat measurement which I was highly doubtful about measured a group of people in my gym with accuracy to 1% each time. Setting up the app requires an email and password, you connect the scale by standing on the scale and adding Smart Scale in the app with Bluetooth on, of course, then you add your personal details - done! I have tested with both Apple and Android devices with an issue initially with my OP3 which I resolved and I now have no problems whatsoever. One then stands barefoot on the scale. it does all of its fancy calculations and inputs all into the app in a short amount of time, body mass, muscle mass, fat mass, BMI, and body fat percentage (the important ones for me) - and it was accurate for the 6 people including myself at my gym with whom I tested it, testing against measurements made using other tools. It provides the data quickly and accurately and if done over a period of time can be used to track performance by analysing aspects which you cannot measure easily otherwise or as quickly as this scale can.The benefits of this device are obvious to me, the data I obtain weekly is very useful and allows me to monitor my body statistics and use the data to alter my diet/training to achieve my health/training goals.*TLDR*: A very accurate smart scale, looks stylish and has a solid heft to it.

I have owned several scales recently alongside my drive to get fitter but this is my first smart scale.I am very impressed with the build quality as the glass top feels very solid and the whole scale seems very well made.I used the scale with the EufyLife android app available on the google play store.Inspite of the low rating on the store i had no issues connecting over bluetooth.I also was impressed with the level of detail it provided.Aftee registering an account and providing personal information once the scale is paired and the app is open it just required you to step onto the scale to connect and upload the measurements to the smartphone. The scale provides information on several useful metrics including body fat %,BMI, bone density and many others.I checked the accuracy against another scale i own from a leading manufacturer and the results were almost identical. The app can also sync with Google fit and upload weight measurements to your timeline. This is very useful to have this information alongside activity measurements.I found that although the EufyLife app could hold information profiles for family members only one profile would be synced with one google account. It seemed easier for my wife and I to create different accounts to sync to our respective google fit accounts. At the moment there does not appear to be integration with other leading fitness apps such as fitbit or myfitnesspal however perhaps this is something which could be developed in the future.Another slight issue is that the scale will only sync data with the app when the app is connected at the time of weighing. It would have been good if the scale could store measurements to be synced with the app at a later date but i could not find this functionality at present.I have several smart fitness and health products and after having tried this completely welcome the idea of a smart scale to track weight more easily as well as other health metrics.I am very impressed with this scale because of its build quality, functionality and ease of use and would highly recommend it.Previous scales i had stopped working after a while so only time will tell how long this will last but the build quality is encouraging.

and I've had a few!I've had smart scales for several years now, starting with the original Fitbit Aria. Since that died I've tried a few different makes and models including the new Fitbit Aria Air and none have really been up to scratch so far until this one.My requirements are simple... need to be accurate, measure body fat as well as weight, must sync reliably with my phone, and must sync with Fitbit where the rest of my health and fitness tracking lives. This ticks all the boxes - perfectly reliable in terms of consistent measurements (unlike others where you can weigh yourself twice in two minutes and get wildly varying results)and synchronisation both with its own app and with Fitbit. You do need to have the Eufy App open while you weigh yourself but this is common to all the bluetooth scales (unlike the original Fitbit Aria which worked over Wifi) and only a minor inconvenience. The Eufy App itself is nice an clean and presents a wide array of figures such as breaking down weight into muscle mass, fat mass and bone mass however its worth noting that aside from weight and body fat percentage all these other figures are calculations based on those two base readings plus user supplied info such as gender, age and height - the scales can't actually measure these things. My only real grumble and its very minor - you can see trends for weight, BMI, body fat% and muscle mass% but not for any of the other measures. I would be happy to plot things like visceral fat percentage for myself but there is no way to export the data.Overall I'm really impressed with this scale, especially for the price - a massive improvement over the Fitbit Aria Air which costs significantly more and only weighs weight and not body fat (plus the fact that it doesn't work for a large number of people but that's another story).Eufy (and their parent company Anker) are fast becoming a go-to brand for me, having bought a eufy robo-vac in the black Friday sales, and then a Eufy wireless home security system. Their stuff seems to be affordable, well designed and just work which seems to be increasingly rare these days unless you are going to pay premium prices.

This is the second product I have had from Eufy as I also own the RoboVac 11. On both occasions I have been very impressed with the initial unboxing and way the products have been efficiently packed. To set up the Smart Scale took a matter of seconds, I downloaded the EufyLife app which allows you to connect the Smart Scale to your phone to log and track readings. The app walks you through the connection and you’re ready to go. It does warn you not to connect directly to the scale’s Bluetooth through your phone’s menus. (Although I am not sure what the consequences of this are.)The Smart Scale looks smart and has replaced my normal set in the bathroom. With the unit being black it does tend to show dust and marks from standing on it quite quickly and visibly, it only takes a quick wipe to solve this but just one of my bugbears. In terms of using the Smart Scale I think the connection to your phone and keeping track of your weight is really useful. I am not 100% convinced by the other readings (other than weight) that the Smart Scale produces as I have used devices which I believe to produce an accurate reading and they are not the same from the Smart Scale. One thing I did struggle with was how to change the unit of measurement for the weight. The button on the scale to change this is under the battery slot cover. Even if you change the units using the button on the scales, it will always revert to the setting you have selected in the preferences for EufyLife. It took me a while to work this out but I am glad I have now solved it.The display is clear and crisp, very easy to read. If you use the scales without the phone app it just displays the weight. If you want access to the other readings you need to use the app which provides graphs and other ways of tracking your data. You are also able to have multiple users on this.Overall I am quite impressed with the Smart Scale but I feel at the full price they are quite expensive for the purpose they provide. The quality is certainly there but I think they are most certainly a gadget.I received this product for free and I have reviewed them honestly and genuinely.

These scales are made by the same company as Anker, so would expect them to be made to a high standard. It comes in a smart looking recyclable cardboard box, showing it is iPhone and Android compatible. My scale is water resistant on the top and is made up of black glass with a circular slightly raised bump in the centre. I downloaded the Android app inserted the supplied batteries and used it to pair via Bluetooth to the scales, it did, virtually instantaneously. I zeroed it and stood on the scales. It took the weight measurement quickly and then took a further measurement to work out visceral and body fat, water content, muscle, bone, BMI, metabolic rate. These details then appeared on my phone and each subsequent measurement recorded. I have added another family member and their details can be added to their name. I attached my account to my Google Fit account and it synced the details slightly incorrectly, I disconnected my account and it has been fine with one exception, that it only syncs once, to update, I need to disconnect and reconnect. This is extremely easy to do but inconvenient. The other family member doesn't have the option to sync with Google. I have tried setting up an account for her but her details then sync with mine when I connect. This isn't a great problem as there is a difference in weight but inconvenient so have gone back to just using my account. The app itself is quite good with a graph and history saved to show trends. The Google Fit part is not good enough for normal use, hopefully this will be updated in the future, as this is in the app, I am hopeful it will be. I have tried to contact the company by phone but have always received a message saying there are no lines available and cut me off. There's also a way to talk over a message system on their website but unfortunately they were unable to help.Overall, I like the scales, work well and are nice to look at, it however is let down by the supporting app. When this is sorted out it will be 5 stars, if they weren't advertising the Google syncing, it would be. I will update my review when the problems stated above are resolved.

I was looking to purchase a connected set of smart scales, as a first-time upgrade from our regular digital scales, and I wasn’t disappointed in these.I was recommended them by a friend, and I likewise recommend these to you. I wasn’t familiar with any of Eufy’s products before, but I would happily consider them for future purchases as well. The scales themselves were easy to setup, and the real beauty was that they connect to your phone via Bluetooth, which means it’s easy and straightforward for each individual to track their measurements. No need to tap X number of times to find your profile on the scales - just set up the device using the Eufy Life app on the first time, and from then on just open the app and away you go.Taking measurements of weight, body fat, BMI, water, muscle density, bone density, nasal metabolic rate (BMR), visceral fat, and many other calculations besides, you really get a full picture of where you’re at, and how you’re progressing.Helpfully, the app gives you indications of how good or bad (high or low) each measurement is, and it’s quite motivating to see that visually represented. You can track your historical measurements, and on the iPhone app it integrates immediately with the Apple Health app so you can view everything in one place. Trend charts again give you visual indications of how you’re doing. The scales look great too, are easy to clean, and easy to see the digital screen if you just want to quickly weigh yourself instead of using the app. These are priced at an entry level product, but it feels anything but entry level. I think this would suit most people at home. No it’s not going to be as accurate as something you’d find in a hospital, but that’s not what this is for. It is a great product for general tracking of a range of body measurements, all wrapped up with a neat app experience. Great for individuals or multiple users, it comes highly recommended.

This device is very sophisticated. It was delivered promptly. Beautiful design, very refined, looks luxurious although strong and sturdy, quite heavy (1.73kg for a 30X30cm). 4 AAA alcaline batteries are included in the box. I paired it easily with my Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus running Android 7.0. The factory set for weight is in pounds but can be set to kilos or stones by pressing the button that is behind, in the batteries case. It goes back to pounds when it reconnects which means that you have to remove the batteries case cover to set it up to another measuring unit. In order to avoid this problem, you have to set your measuring unit in your settings.Do it straight after you install the app because this setting is not proposed to you afterwards. If you explore further you find out how clever it is. It gives you the history and trends of weight, body fat, muscle.Clicking on details I see that it has automatically calculated my bmi (body mass index), water, muscle, bone, bmr (basal metabolic rate), visceral fat. And for each value it draws a line showing where your value is situated within low, normal, high, excessive. Further down the list there is also lean body mass, body fat mass, bone mass and muscle mass. Please see screenshots provided. For the calculations to be performed you have to be bare foot on the scale. It connects to Google Fit.I had a few problems with the app, it froze my smartphone a few times and I had to uninstall and reinstall it but I think that this is just teething problems. You can create several different profiles corresponding to several different users. This product could be very useful to sportspersons, keen to keep their shape, as well as to the general public wanting to keep track of their weight and all the values automatically calculated. This scale is a gem.I was sent this product for testing and, as usual, my review is honest and genuine.

I've tested out a few Smart Scales before from companies such as Withings and Garmin and this stands out the most. Firstly unboxing and setting this piece of tech up was a piece of cake, simply pop in the 4 AAA battery's included and your ready to go.After making an Eufy account, the app connected to the smart scale automatically and was ready for use. ( Please note that the app is not required to use the scale) After weighing myself for the first time i went on to the app and the reading was immediately on my phone. The app then forwarded me to a page which showed me more in depth details such as Body Fat %, Muscle Mass % and loads more.A nice touch that the Eufy app had that others didn't was that it displayed information such as which whether your weight was Low,Normal or High and directly showed how many Kgs was Low or Normal etc. This is great for those who may be trying to reach certain targets and also encourages you to aim for a target.Pros:- This device also allows up to 20 users which is definitely more than enough for a normal household whereas other devices may have a max of 6 users- Stylish and modern designed piece of teach- Quick and easy installation.- Works smoothly with the app- I have heard that this app can also be used for other smart devices made by Eufy therefore you can have everything on one single app- Large text that stays on display for a bit after you step off the scale- Really affordable compared to others such as Nokia and GarminCons:- Glass surface gets a little dusty but simply have a microfiber cloth closeThis gets 5 stars as this comes with so much more compared to competition while having a low price. The app is smooth and bug-free and encourages you to reach targets.

Out of the box I was surprised at how the scale looks - it's smooth glass top and subdued logos actually give it a nice quality appearance that you wouldn't mind leaving out for everyone to see. Getting the scale powered on and connected to my iPhone X couldn't be any easier - it took longer for me to get the app on my phone than it took to connect to the scale. I do like how the app gives me so much more data than just my weight, and as a bonus the app syncs with Apple Health - which is one of the main reasons why I purchased this scale. Compared to a calibrated scale, the BodySense is very close - close enough that I'd call it pretty accurate.Having the associated data logged in the Eufy app and in Apple Health lets me see my diet progress at a glance. The only thing that can be improved is how the scale handles user data - as is, I have to bring my phone with me to the scale, open the app, select the scale on screen, and then I can step onto the scale for measurement. I can somewhat see why this needs to be done (basically so the scale knows who is going to step onto it) but I'm sure there's got to be a more streamlined way of doing this. However I wouldn't knock 1 star off my rating because of this.By the way, the scale will work without the app - without the app it's just a standard digital scale. The white digital display is very easy to read in daylight or in the evening. So I can easily say that I'm very happy so far with how it works, and it motivates me more by being able to see my progress without manually having to note everything down. Well worth the low price - which becomes even less if you take advantage of the digital coupon on the product page.

I already track much of my data using my miband. I've also recently signed up to thriva and had my dna results from 23&me so this was a great gift from my wife. We have a weighing scales which works perfectly fine, but I think she thought I would love this because of the data element to it. With age comes great anniversary gifts! As I look to maintain a good level of health over the coming years, this is one of those things that is useful and you can start to log trends as they change before they become a problemI downloaded the Eufylite app from Google Play store when I used it for the first time and it's very easy to synch up with your mobile using bluetooth. There's a lot of detail provided including BMI bone density and the like that you get on the app. The only downside with the app is that a profile can have multiple family members but that's not such a big deal if it's family. You need to be connected to the app to synch the data. You can also just create another profile linked to another phone. My wife hasnt done that yet, but intends to. There is the equivalent app on iOS which she has downloaded. I have also compared the readings with my old scale so they seem accurate. The scales themselves look and feel expensive. I think my wife paid £50 but they feel as if they are worth £70+ I have had this for a week now and am pretty impressed by them although I have never had smart scales before so I'm assuming that all scales are this good. I'll feed back at a later date if I find other niggles as this is now my daily routine to weigh myself. As of now, I have nothing negative to say apart from the fact that this is glass so does need a clean now and again.

Bought the product as have made changes to my lifestyle and am aiming to measure the trends for losing fat and building muscle. The reports are great, but you can only get them when the app syncs with your phone, and it must sync by Bluetooth, rather than WiFi. The problem is, the sync is unreliable and always dropping, which is painful and time consuming to resolve every time. The readings aren't perfect, and there is some fluctuation, but if you weigh yourself daily you can see changes/trends easily. I have tracked weight loss, fat loss, water %, visceral fat and muscle gain, and over a week there are fluctuations but you can see the trends.I raised a ticket straight to eufy to say there was a sync issue.Someone in support told me that it would be resolved in the next app version. I asked when that would be and was told they don't know. When I raised it through Amazon, I have had a better response so far, and hope they can give me a working version, as it's a lovely scale and really useful when it works.I'd buy it over the more expensive Nokia or Garmin, providing they fix the software.UPDATEeufy sent me a second scale out, and it is again a great kit, with good reports and syncs to Google fit, but the Bluetooth is unreliable for my android devices right now. Works properly with Apple. To compensate for this eufy customer services were excellent and refunded me 50% for the inconvenience I've had.I can't give 5 stars because of the android bluetooth issue not being resolved yet, but have increased my original star rating based on the service from eufy.UPDATEAndroid issue fixed in update. Now 5 stars.
