Bought this after hearing about it's past and the matter of fact that the ingredients haven't hardly changed through the years (1958 is when this product first got introduced) also of course the rave reviews, and I must say this is a lovely compact powder I thought with it being a bit of a classic it would be cakey and noticeable which it is not the case it's very lovely when applied goes on nicely doesn't insinuate fine lines or wrinkles at all, it also known for it's classic smell of perfume which isn't noticeable when applied but I can see the whole nostalgia behind it and stories ranging from little girls that have known grown into women and remember smelling it on women families remembers which I also found slightly enchanting.The downside for me though I bought 81 Truly fair..

I bought this in the shade "Light N Gay". Do not let the pictures above fool you, this is a very pale shade. I am an N15 in MAC.I wore this to a party on Friday night, I set it over my usual foundation. My make-up lasted all night and kept my concealer on, as it gave me extra coverage. I do feel however, that if this is applied heavy handedly, that it may look chalky. Remember, a little goes a long way. I applied it with my favourite soft powder brush as the sponge it comes with is a bit useless. It's easier to apply this powder with a separate brush. I personally like the old-fashioned rose talcum powder like smell that comes off of the make-up. However, if you are sensitive to smells then you might not be keen.

Having been a big fan of Max Factor products I decided to try this after being advised how good it is for people with oily skin like myself.The main issue I normally have is when applying make up my t-zone becomes very oily within a few hours, so I decided to use this once I had applied my primer and foundation. The powder is very light and therefore makes applying it very easy with no mess. I applied in the morning and was really surprised as to how it stayed on for the day without me having to touch up. There was also no oily skin or crease on my face which pleasantly surprised me. I loved the matte finish that it provided.The size is great to carry around and for weekends away.The only thing which disappointed me with this product was that no brush/pad was provided.

I have purchased this product a few times from Amazon. I love the colour which is not too light and not too dark. I would highly recommend anyone to buy this pressed powder, and also it has a really nice smell. My only complaint is that inside the small padded envelope (this was fine) the product itself was covered in sticky selotape presumably to keep the lid on which I understand, but I spent half an hour trying to get this sticky stuff of the compact which is plastic, so it was very hard to clean off. Shame about this, there must be a way of securing the lid if said product is not in a box. I would still purchase again down the line however, but would hope that another time it comes packaged a lot better.

I’m using creme puff for a while now, I used ordinarily compact powder , and it’s makes my skin look even dryer that it is. With this product however, this is fixable with not using too much on the puff and cleaning the excess with powder brush ).I’ve noticed that the main complaint is that there is no applicator, well, you can buy one ( it’s can be abit expensive but still it’s affordable ), or use a piece of cotton ( i know it old fashioned, but it works, and sometimes even better then a beauty blender ). For me it’s not exactly five star product,because it’s a bit darker ( I use Truly Fair ) then what I need, still it’s better and more adorable the other powder fountains (

I have always been disappointed when I have decided 'to have a change', because nothing I have tried has ever come up to scratch compared with Max Factor's creme puff. I stupidly thought that some of the other top brands would surely be even better..but no! So here I am back with Max lol.... the only creme powder that I can honestly say lives up to being a great powder. It does'nt cake at all and is nice and creamy without being shiny etc. I have used it for years, and I am not going to bother trying anything else anymore. I just wasted my money when I could have just stocked up on more Max F. I have dark hair but fair skin so this 'truly fair' is ideal for me.

This is an absolutely amazing product. It provides such good coverage for my skin. I can even get away with foundation and it last a long time. Really easy to apply and it glides on. I have tried clinique, Estee Lauder and for the price this is way way better. I will never but those ones again. It would have been nice to have a mirror and I don't know if you can get one with a mirror, but even so. Max Factor make up - I am a converted and once my Estee Lauder foundation has run out I will be switching to Max Factor. I am so pleased. Not sure what more to say but a great product, stays on well, very good value for money and gives really good coverage. Great , great, great,

this creme Puff Powder Compact gives my skin a very nice matte finish .It is lightweight and does not feel cakey.A lot of other powders leave my skin looking dry but this doesn't seem to do that.I mostly used it over my moisturiser and it acts like a light weight foundation....So for me its a perfect for everyday use like for quick school run and covers my acne scars really well and gives my skin nice finish.I also tried it over my foundation and it was amazing....gives me really flawless finish.It definately is a my favourite powder compact and would definately recommmend to everyone and would definately buy again and again and again. The makeup itself is great, the texture is silky smooth and goes on great with both a sponge or a brush. The coverage is easy and stayed put most of the day when I was out walking and even in the rain. The packaging is pretty and the lid is secure so hopefully there will be no spillages! I have very pale skin and this colour was perfect.The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the smell. It's not unpleasant, it smells like perfume but it's incredibly strong. The smell does wear off after a few minutes but is definitely potent when being put on! Overall, the product is great value, the make up is nice and gets rid of shine and long-lasting. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

I have wavy dry hair. It is hard to find products that do not make it look greasy or that work.This is great when you use about a quarter size (depending on the length of your hair) mixed with several drops of Awapuhi Styling Oil. Mix together in your hands and run through your hair after you wash & condition especially on the ends. A lady that used to cut up hair told me about it and it works well. If you want your hair more wavy and natural you can add more oil to the mix. I use less when using a curling iron to pull some wave out of my hair. More when I wear it naturally. You can also use the oil just on the ends of your hair when using a curling iron to help protect your ends.

I ordered this and was impressed it arrived the next day on my doorstep, thank you!I ordered No59 - Gay Whisper and going by what I saw on my computer monitor, it looked quite fair. When it arrived on my doorstep it was slightly darker than what I expected. However this wasn't a problem since trying it out and it gives a lovely glow to my already pale complexion :)I really like this stuff, it wasn't expensive and like others have said, it does have a perfumy smell to it when you apply it to your face but this doesn't bother me. Its really quite nice!Top marks to the seller - great price and arrived next day on my doorstep :)Would use again, thank you.

This crème puff powder foundation wasn't entirely what I expected, although I am pleased with it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with particularly pale skin, but I will say that it is soft, and evens out the blemishes of the face well, giving your skin a natural, smooth appearance without being shiny or making it obvious that you're wearing make-up. A thick application is not required, and I like to use it with the 'Max Factor colour adapt creamy ivory', which it blends perfectly with and it stops my face from appearing shiny in certain lights and photographs. It depends on the person, but I would recommend this, and basically any Max Factor products.

As in a lot of things Max Factor have dropped their standards. In common with a lot of buyers I found that there is no longer a sponge puff and cellophane protector included. I also have always removed the tray from the plastic outer to put in my Stratton gilt mirrored compact. Managed with a struggle to do this with the new 'refill'. Wonder why if Max Factor suggest this is NOT a refill they still put a hole for removal in base and don't put a mirror in top? Perhaps they couuld also revert to using a small amount of holding glue instead of the industrial strength they are now using. But, I'm only a customer and they obviously think they know best.
