Perfect protection for my Canon EF 24-105mm f4 L IS USM II, as well as the EF 16-35mm f2.8L USM III. I’m mentioning the specific lenses that fit as the internal dimensions quoted aren’t such a great way to work out the size that was needed. Both lenses are stored with the hoods in the stored position but with some screw on filters (UVB & Circ Polarised) in place and the lens covers also in place. I find the fit to be just right in terms of being snug, with little room for rattling around loose. There are numerous straps to allow for different carrying methods such as on a belt (great method for retaining the case in place), or long strap across shoulders or neck. There is a net style storage in the lid which is useful only for retaining the lens caps from the lens and camera body so they’re readily to hand. The protective padding is roughly 1cm at the bottom and sides whilst the stiffer top padding is around 0.75cm. There is also a horizontal strap that encircles the bag around the halfway mark and it can be tightened should you feel the need for even more security or, as is more likely, you are using the bags for narrower fitting lenses. Finally, I’ve just found a Velcro fastened back with a removable piece of stiff plastic, and also the internal base padding is removable though it’s not clear if it’s deliberate or just an issue due to manufacturing process. It’s not something I would care to try as I value my lenses too much to reduce the base protection by 1cm of soft padding and a stiffened plastic sheet. All in all these bags are made to very high standards and the protection they offer is second to none. I have no qualms in recommending them to those that value their equipment though with one caveat - it’s a tad difficult carrying several heavy lenses in individual bags, which is why I use the LowePro 450 WL Tactical.

I did not purchase this from Amazon as I was unable to source one direct from them and so went to Lowepro direct. I feel that this monster of a case might be in short supply as the Tamron 150-600 is now widely available and competitively priced. Both my lens and case arrived and are now united. I have to say that both items are superb. On examination, the bag is quite big with a large opening accessed by removing the lid which closes up via smooth a zip. The case lining is made from an impervious material which should make water ingress via the fabric difficult; I would add that this will also prevent any moisture leaving the case and therefore your lens has to be very dry before storing it.My Tamron 150-600 fits into this "cavern" with ease; even with the hood fitted and incredibly the tripod mount too. The lid of the bag has a mesh bag which currently holds a 95mm Polaroid filter in its case, but could hold a large Cokin filter and holder. The padding which protects the lens from knocks and bumps, is thick and you feel that it will protect the lens well. The bag weighs just over a pound and combined with my Tamron and 2 filters weighs a shade under 3kg. This needs to be considered when you have to carry it on a long treck or as part of your airline hand luggage. The outer fabric is water resistant and I think would keep the lens bone dry except if it is submerged in water. To carry the case there is a strap to carry the lens over a shoulder, a handle for carrying by hand and a further Velcro/strap to attach it to a Lowpro system. So is it worth the five star rating? Most certainly, I would not carry my lens around without being properly protected and I feel somewhat reassured that my new lens travels with me snug and secure and attached to my bag. Outstanding item.

I bought this mainly for the SlipLock option and my excellent experience with an AW300 SlingShot backpack. The case was purchased to house a Canon EF 50mm f1.4 with a ES-71II hood.Firstly, the lens fits with no problems, although it may be a little loose for this size of lens with no hood. With the hood attached I can fit the lens in with it in place. It is a snug fit but it will hold it. You may want to have the lens in place first and then invert the hood at the top of the case. This actually removes the need to include any additional packing as the hood holds the lens in place. Now on to the 'nice little extras'.The case has excellent padding, all around the outside if the case and also on the base. The base padding is attached to the base by velcro and can be lifted and folded against the back of the case, although not completely removed. This gives you the added benefit of folding the case almost completely flat, if you were transporting the case separate from the lens. This is rather neat as it means I can still transport the lens on a long journey, inside my backpack, and have the case stored if I want to only take the camera and a few lenses on a belt. (This was the plan and reason for going with the SlipLock system. The other 'nice little extra' is the inclusion of a stiffening panel which can be removed. When you look at the case, it has a flat back and this panel helps to keep that profile intact. If you want a more rounded profile, and not the flat backed on, then this can be removed to make the case a bit more flexible. The zip is a nice double affair and the top overlaps the padding to add weather protection and also adds to the overall physical stability of the case.

This case seems to give quite a good solid protection for your lens (which you really expect for this rather high price, which is not far from the one of a much larger camera bag). It fits (although that's a bit tight) my Panasonic H-X025E LEICA DG SUMMILUX 25mm Digital Interchangeable Lens (with its front cap, back cap, and UV filter on - without any of these 3 it probably fits perfectly) which I measured as 79x60mm (LxW): there is a little extra space in width, but the height is stretching a bit the top of the case. So you need to push down the case top a bit to be able to close the zip - I would then recommend a slightly larger model than your actual lens size. The internal padding at thebottom and the back is attached with velcro - but it doesn't seem to have a purpose as the rest of the padding is sewed to the case (unless you want to hide things in the tight space underneath the padding). The belt strap is fastened with a double velcro which seems robust enough - if you don't trust the velcro, there are also a couple of probably quite tougher ribbon loops that you can use to secure the case.

Perfect for Tamron SP AF150-600mm. This is the only case I've been able to find that fits the Tamron SP AF150-600mm. The lens fits perfectly even with the tripod collar attached and lens hood in the reversed position. It won't fit if you have the lens hood the correct way round. If you read reviews that say the case doesn't fit the Tamron 150-600 then make sure they are for the 13x32 and not the smaller 11x26. Clicking on the review for the 13x32 also shows reviews for other sizes of case so be aware - wonderful Amazon !It is a very large case, well padded with all sorts of straps and attachments and a good zip round the top. I don't have other Lowepro bags so can't comment on attaching to other bags. The actual external size is 33.5cm high, 18cm across the back and if you lay it on its back it sticks up 16cm. There were comments about the shoulder strap being a friction attachment and not a clip but I cannot see this being a problem and haven't seen any slippage giving them a hard pull.If you have a very large lens then I'd highly recommend it.

This is a genuine Lowepro product but it was also clearly returned item. The packaging was very poor. The dispaly card/id was seperate from the lens bag. It also came in a clear plastic bag that, clearly, had been opened and resealed very poorly. The bag very filthy and sticky on one side. I don't mind "2nd hand products" as long as know what I am buying. I don't mind returned items if they are repacked to a good standard. The supplier could have tried harder. The bag itself is of good quality as are Lowepor products in general. The dimensions are internal 8cm x 12cm and sightly bigger than I needed because the advertisment suggested the sizes were external. I could have bought a 7cm x 8cm for what I needed. Its also interesting to see some of the questions asked about it fitting a specfic camara/lens when what the purchaser should be doing is measuring the height and diameter of the lens or item they want to house; and buying a case to fit those dimensions.Overall 5 Star for the product but a lowely 1 Star for the packaging/presentation.

I bought this to house a Canon 24-105mm f4 L lens and a Sigma 10-20mm so I can use one and carry the other without having to take my rucksack. The Sigma fits in easy, the Canon (bigger lens) fits in snugly height wise, with a little spare width ways (and that includes the lens hood on reversed). Not had it out yet for a real test, but first impressions are:1. Excellent protection. I can not envisage there being any damage with a drop from normal height(and hope never to be able to confirm this). The padding is solid and reassuring. It fits to my belt securely, there is an optional shoulder strap and a little carry handle.2. A bit bulky, you certainly couldn't hide it under a jacket like you can with a compact camera case attached to a belt.Height is fine, but it is very wide and really sticks out. I guess until they devise a fold-up lens, then this is the way it will be. However, it carries comfortably and keeps me travelling light (or at least lighter than a rucksack). If you can live with the size, then this is an excellent product.

Bought a second hand one, a quick vacuum out of the interior then a careful hand wash restored it to as new condition ! This is not my first Lowepro lens case, so I was confident it would survive my cleaning strategy., being well constructed of sturdy materials. As you'd expect from Lowepro, the case is neatly stitched, the zip runs well, the double velcro sliplock is utterly secure. I'd bought this specifically to hold a Sigma 17-70 (which it does , but with the lens hood either fitted and upward, or loose on top of the back of the lens, if the lens is lens placed pointing downward in the case . It fits so snugly when I tried it with the lens hood reversed that the diameter wouldn't allow me to get the lens out easily,so that's not an option ) but was pleased to find it would take the Tokina 11-16mm (the Tokina's hood is too flared out though, and is too big a diameter to fit inside in any orientation)

As my back got tired from carrying lenses and too much weight, I switched to a Lowepro utility belt system recently and it's been much better. The Lowepro 11 x 14cm case (I use 2, one on each side) fits all my lenses snugly from the fattest (Canon 85mm 1.2) to the longest (Canon 135mm with 1.4x extender attached, but only just) and that's together with the hoods reversed. It is a bit bulky and not exactly a fashion accessory but well padded and perfect when running/ cycling/ climbing and in the field. My only gripe is that it doesn't come with an AW raincoat but Lowepro will probably hike up the price if it does so I just use a cheap hotel shower cap when I get caught in the rain.

Claims to fit 50mm f1.4 but it does not fit the Canon 50mm f1.4. It is extremely tight and is likely to damage the lens, if you do the zip up with the 50 in it turns into a sphere. The case certainly wouldn't provide much protection if dropped as it is far too tight a fit. I know the Sigma 50mm f1.4 is larger again so not sure which DSLR lens this would fit. Otherwise usual quality you would expect from Lowepro, well padded, can be attached to a belt or to SlipLock attachments on Lowepro bags. There is a little pocket behind the padding in the back of the case, you could probably fit a CF card here, and in the lid one of those streatchy meshes to put something else in.

I bought this as I noticed on one of the above reviews that it said it fitted a 70-300 lens perfectly (I had measured the lens and it seemed fairly borderline)It's a fantastic bag, well padded but compact, good balance between soft/rigid padding and a couple of little storage compartments. It doesn't, however, fit the Nikon 70-300 4.5-5.6 VR - I've just about managed to cram it it in but if you have this lens go up a size.(Incidentally, it fits a Nikon 18-200 VR perfectly)Still, great little bag. Only thing I'd add (if Lowepro are reading this!) is some kind of waterproofing, maybe a membrane round the zip.

Having invested a large sum of my hard earned cash on a new Fuji 100-400 lens with 1.4x teleconverter, I needed a decent case to carry the lens. I've used Lowepro camera bags for many years and always found them to be protective and great value for money. I took a gamble on the size of case for the lens and was pleased to find that it was a perfect fit for it with the hood reversed over the end, however the teleconverter had to go in my camera bag with my other kit. Make no mistake, the lens in the case is quite cumbersome, but it is well protected, which was the object of buying the case in the first place.

I carry my gear in an ordinary Deuter 22-litre backpack and was looking for a case for a Nikon 28-300mm. Check the photo, it is certainly too large for this lens without the hood. The old Lowepro 2S was an excellent fit but without the hood, so I went for this Lowepro 11x14 measuring 17x14x12.5cm externally and 14x11x11cm on the interior. Although slightly bigger than necessary because of the square corners, it offers sufficient protection for my zoom. This case probably fits better a lens with a wider diameter. Alternatives such as Ex-Pro ToughPro 11x14 and 9x15 should also be considered at half the price.

14.12.2012

My camera kit had outgrown my Lowepro camera case and I required the means, on occasions, to transport an additional lens. Rather than buying a bigger case, I bought this lens case which will accommodate either of two of the principal lenses that I use on my camera, the other fitting in the main case attached to the camera. The lens case is approximately the same height and width as the main case and attaches to the main case using the "slip-lock" attachment which keeps it secure. If I don't want to carry the second lens around I can easily detach the lens case and leave it behind.

Purchased case for Tamaron 150 - 600 lens, fits well and and offers a high level of protection whilst in transit.Have had a camera bag from Lowepro for years and it has given good service with little evidence of wear and tear. Chose this over a larger camera bag because I felt that I would not need the large zoom lens on all my photographic trips (it is also a bit heavy to carry around) so decided on a separate option. My only word of caution, and it's not about the case, Amazon displays several sizes on the same page - make sure you select the right size option! My only
