Fitted perfectly to camera and lens screwed on with no bother. Cannot speak on longevity yet! Compared to genuine Canon part the plastic feels slightly softer but that doesn't mean anything.People have said it is hard to fix to the camera but I found it easy with a little care:Extend the lens so you can hold it. Line the adapter up so the bayonet flange is on the gap in the lens body. Check it is square or parallel (the small gap is the same all round). Push gently onto the lens. The gap disappears,,or should! Then holding the lens rotate the adapter about a quarter turn until it stops. I think it locks but the "feel" was not that obvious.

Some reviewers have mentioned its quality "made out of moulded plastic" and "a bit flimsy", but you need that flexibility when fitting it to the camera. Once the adapter and filter are fitted to the camera, it all feels very sturdy. I bought my first one a year ago and have had no a problem with it or seen any deterioration in it, but simply chose to buy another one just for convenience sake only. Please Do Not Be Tempted to Buy the Metal Version sold by other supplies - The metal version is inflexible and It would not fit it onto my SX50 HS camera . I returned it as a faulty product.

MUCH cheaper than the Canon original, and seems to fit OK on my SX50, if a wee bit tight and fiddly, so only 4 stars. The 67mm Hoya UV filter I bought at the same time fits perfectly on the outside screw thread, as well, and a multi lens hood fits on the outside of the filter. The whole lot feels completely stable, so no complaints. Time will tell if it all remains like this. It's just a shame that the Canon camera does not just have a screw thread on the lens in the first place. It would all be SO much easier!

This fits my Canon SX60 perfectly :) I tried a metal one and it just chewed the end of my new camera not happy - after doing some more research a lot of people favoured the plastic over metal , as it needs a bit of give to fit - I am now able to use my new filter and macro set without any trouble very happy with this purchase quick delivery as well -

Bought the 67mm Polaroid adaptors a short while back - and need another couple but they were out of stock. Have bought JJC branded product before and have always been pleased with the quality - and not disappointed this time either. Fits my SX40 perfectly. These are a must if you want to quickly interchange hoods and filters

13.1.2013

Bought this for my Daughters Canon HS40 camera to allow the use of filters fo protection and creativty. a fraction of the cost of the Canon version. Feels a little flexible on its own but once attached to the camera is solid. Bought this and the filter for the price of Canon's own adaptor!

23.1.2015

Does the job but Canon's design that requires the need for these beggars belief. That's not the fault of the suppliers of these adaptors as they are only supplying an item that must be purchased and compared to the cost of the Canon version represent good value.

5.4.2012

An good alternative to Canons extremely high priced adapter. This one can be bought for less than half the price of the Canon and does the job equaly well. It does not feel quite as robust as the oem version but it does what you need at a much fairer price.

19.1.2017

As with any of these type of products the plastic feels slightly weak, however it does fit nicely on the camera and feels much more secure when attached. The filter and lens cap fit well and I have no worries in recommending the product.

27.7.2015

Can't comment on the longevity as I've had it less than 2 months.Purchased for use on a Canon SX60 HS.A little stiff to mount ( which I put down to the fact that it's new ) , but once in place the filters are easy to attach & detach.

19.4.2012

The item fits perfectly, and does the job, but it is plastic and I am not sure how long it will last.I have not seen the original item from Canon, but this one looks quite cheap.Overall it is good for the price and I am happy with it.

These SX series cameras don't use standard filter threads.  Perhaps it's a ruse to make you buy the Canon brand expensive adapter. This much cheaper substitute works as expected so I can now attach a polarising filter.

25.11.2019

Only used it a couple of times but to date am impressed with it,shame when using it with the Canon Powershot SX 530 HS the matching lens hood cannot be used, as the bayonet fitting will only allow one or the other.

31.1.2015

Fits my SX50 perfectly, no rattles. Was a little worried as you have to be quite forceful to attach it but I extended lens to enable me to hold it whilst attaching the adapter, you twist it until it clicks.

9.4.2018

Plastic, but solid when fitted in place and filters screw in without a problem. If you have the standard lens hood then you will not be able to use it whilst using this but will need a larger screw in one.
