I expected this to be a bit tacky and 'grindy' but as the Canon original is £100 this seemed a good alternative. It is actually very good. I bought cheap macro extension tubes recently and they are cheap and grungy-grindy when attaching them. I expected the same with this Meike mount adaptor but it has a really smooth action when attaching to my Canon M5 mirrorless body. When attaching to a 10-year old Canon AF lens it is a bit tighter but still OK and this could be due to the lens being old and used. The mount has a fixed tripod mount allowing the use of a large lens without stressing the mirrorless body tripod attachment. The Canon mount has a removable tripod mount but the Meike mount has a smaller form factor so the inability to remove it doesn't matter.Pros:- Smooth fitting onto the camera body gives confidence it will not damage the mount.- Quality finish - it is not a Canon mount but for £22 it is a great 3rd party option.Cons:- Nothing so far.Summary:I would recommend this £22 mount adaptor for anyone wishing to use AF lenses on their Canon M series mirrorless bodies. It is pretty nice for the price, especially as the original Canon mount adaptor is hard to find even second hand for less than £70 or so.If you can't or won't pay £100+ for the official Canon Mount Adaptor this Meike adaptor will do nicely!

This is an excellent adapter for using full sized EF and EF-S lenses with a Canon EOS-M camera. Very well made, the connections between the lens and the adapter, and the adapter and the camera are solid and secure and the tripod mount on the adapter itself means that the strain is taken off the camera and the weight is distributed properly making it more secure and less like to introduce movement and shake to your shots. The autofocus is slick and there has no noticeable lag when focusing on a Sigma 70-300mm with my Canon EOS M50. Lens caps are supplied for either end of the adapter meaning that the autofocus contacts will not get damaged or dirty when in transit. If you own a Canon mirrorless camera,as well as a DSLR, this is a fantastic alternative to buying more lenses. Highly recommended.

Why would you buy the original adapter if you can buy one much cheaper that works exactly the same? The outside is made by plastic but feels very robust to me and thats probably the reason why its so light weighted and the actual mount is made by metal, which is very safe and still, no shakes at all. The performance is PERFECT, autofocus works flawlessly on my M50 (currently using canon 50mm 1.4) and i also can use my tripod attached on the adapter to make better balance. Definitely worth it!

Some people posted that it didn't work with their lenses due to the auto focus not working. This was the same for me.I have tested it with several lenses and all seem the same. I really needed this to work with my M10 and my EF-S lenses. I needed a solution, so...All I did was turn off auto focus on the lense using the switch and then on the display to make sure the subject is nice and clear. It works for me but may not be suitable for everyone.

I was a little nervous about mounting expensive glass to my canon m6 with this adapter, but as soon as I clipped it on, all those worries went away! There is no noticeable wobble at all between the lens and body, even when using a telephoto lens! The added tripod mount is perfect for balancing such big lenses as well. There are handy coloured dots on both sides of the mount to help easily align both. Couldn’t fault this product!

I've had one of these adapters before, an OEM Canon but read reviews of this and thought it sounded ok. It's lighter and feels less sturdy than the original Canon part but this is not a bad thing. It functions perfectly with a 12mm Samyang fisheye (not focus adjustable) and a 50mm Canon lens (with autofocus). No point buying the Canon part just get this instead, wish I'd known these were available earlier!

For me works perfectly and most importantly fits the lense and the camera well - there is no whable or any movement (which is not the case with most Chinese cheap adapters I have purchased in the past). Some people are complaining about auto-focus, which is very strange as the adapter has the connections, so not sure why their AF would not work.. In any case - for me its working as expected.

Really pleased with this. Works perfectly with my Canon EOS M50. Enabled me to use my 18 - 55mm and my 55 - 200mm lenses from my 300D.The Tripod mount on the adaptor is very useful. When I was researching buying a lens adaptor I was fold by so called "camera experts" at well known camera shops that they would not work. Me thinks the experts need to go back to school!

I had quite a few older ef and ef-lenses that I thought I'd try on me eos m100/50. It clips on to camera easily and lenses attach as usual. I've tested it on all my lenses and so far I've found it great... it is a bit funny to see a great big 400mm lens on the tiny m50 but the autofocus and all features appertains to function perfectly. I love it.

I use this with a Canon M50 and Canon EF f/1.8 50mm.The adapter itself is fantastic, I can't fault it for function or form. However, at certain angles there is some minor light leak through the top of the adapter. I don't mind, but for anyone that's using it under very strict circumstances it would naturally cause some problems.

it does add a small amount of softness to my old lenses, but tbh i expected it. This was bought as more a transition as i slowly swap out my old lenses for m series versions. Build quality is excellent, and i like being able to attach the mount to the lens adding a bit more stability to the lighter m series cameras

Works perfectly. Already have the Viltrox speed booster but wanted the extra focal length that a straight through adapter would give me. Now I can use my 50mm 1.8 as an equivalent 80mm so I saved having to buy an 85mm lens. This product is incredible value for money - it’s a no brainer!

Only had this for 24hrs but works brilliantly to connect my DSLR lenses to my new mirrorless M100. I also like the fact that there is a fixing on the adaptor for a tripod which will be useful for larger lenses considering the size of the camera.

I was sceptical about the quality because of the affordable price but it turned out very good - i put it on and forgot it was even there - I don't know how it will perform if you constantly swapped the lens on it but i only use it on one lens.

I haven't gotten to use it yet but first impressions are very good. It's solid and feels like an expensive bit of kit.packaging etc was good, all that was needed and it fits the EF lens I bought it for like a glove.
