The first thing I noticed about this product is the size of it. It’s is really quite bulky – think a 2inch by 2 inch cube so is likely to be something that is kept at home and not tucked into a bag on a night out for quick touch ups. The second thing about this is the lack of applicator provided. You simply get a pot of powder but nothing to apply it with. Although this is not a huge issue it would be nice if it included a brush in the giant packaging. The mineral powder itself is extremely fine with little to no scent. You need to tap a small amount out of the pot and onto a brush and then apply to your face in circular motions. Instructions for this can be found on the bottom of the pot if you peel the silver label, but to be honest they are extremely basic and not really that informative. The coverage of the power is pretty good and it applies well. The power looks a little dark for my skin tone when in the pot but it doesn’t appear that way upon application as long as I am careful not to over apply. It give my skin a nice matt look which is nice and natural, I much prefer mineral cover to heavy creams.Overall I do like this product but think a bit more though should have gone into the product design and whether a brush should have been included. Over packaging should really be avoided at all costs and a brush would make this item much more portable. Given the costs of foundations now this is not too expensive but at the same time is not overly cheap so make sure it’s what you want before purchasing.

I've got to be honest, I've never tried mineral foundation before and I haven't tried L'Oreal's old version of this product so I can't compare this to the old formula or any similar products. Despite this, the product goes on really quickly and looks natural, so I imagine this would be great in summer when you don't want to wear anything heavy, or when you may need to reapply the product throughout the day. It's definitely a light coverage foundation, but I expected that as it's a mineral powder, but I've heard you can build the product up in layers for more full coverage or even use it over the top of something else, like a BB cream, for better coverage although I haven't tried this myself yet.The packaging is nice and feels high-quality and the dip where you put your brush in is the perfect size for most standard brushes (i've tried a few of my powder brushes in different sizes and a real techniques buffing brush and they all fit just fine), plus this dip means the product doesn't get everywhere when trying to get it on the brush. The mesh that that covers the product is very elastic (it reminds me of the elastic cotton material used in fishnet tights) and means you can push the mesh down with your brush to pick up the product at the bottom of the container rather than trying to tap it out into the lid as you might do with other powders.Overall, the product lasts really well on the skin, the packaging is nice, and I'm happy with the product.

My wife is a natural light blonde with very light skin colour. She selected the shade Vanilla Rose which I found matched her skin tone very well. The foundation comes in a fair sized pot which creates the impression that there is quite a lot of this product. In fact there is really quite little as the product lies only in the base of the jar. I have never seen presentation like this! It is also not easy to get to the product as the opening to the base is small and it does not come with a built in brush. It is quite hard to apply evenly with your finger all over though it makes an excellent concealer under eyes etc used that way.The product itself is good. Excellent colour match for my wife, feels light - like you are not really wearing foundation - on your skin and lasts well through a day. Would probably need to reapply for a night out, but that is common with many foundations. Difficult to fit in your makeup bag though due to its shape. It has been tested on sensitive skin and indeed was fine on my wife’s sensitive face, and it also has an SPF of 19 which is great. My wife liked it a lot and at £12.99 it is not expensive but then you don’t get much of it! I think they need to rethink their design of this product both in terms of the amount you get and ease of use. Then it would get five stars for sure as the foundation itself is a winner.

This is an interesting concept ... a powder foundation with added minerals for healthy skin. This foundation comes in a choice of colours and I received 'Ivory Rose' for reviewing purposes.L'Oreal produce some lovely beauty products and this foundation is no exception. It comes in a square glass bottle and the colour is a lovely creamy vanilla (with a slight pink hue) yogurt colour that is perfect for light skins like mine.Although the amount of powder in the pot doesn't seem to be much at all, a little goes a long way where this powder is concerned. It should last a decent amount of time.My only negative is that for the price it would have been nice if a powder applicator brush had been supplied.Luckily I have a few of these brushes anyway, so it wasn't too much of a problem. This powder foundation is easy to apply and gives good coverage without clogging up your pores, it is slightly scented but not overpoweringly so. Containing 95% pure minerals, this foundation is apparently better for your skin than wearing no makeup at all ... I have no idea if this is true or not, but what I can say is that after application my skin felt smooth and looked good for most of the day. Also after three weeks of almost daily use, my skin does appear to look a little healthier … like how your skin glows after being out on a breezy day.Love it.

My skin is normal, mostly blemish free, and verging on dry except for my forehead. I've never used a powder foundation before. I prefer a dewy look, and quite light coverage, so I tend to use a BB cream, if anything. Sometimes I just apply small amounts of foundation where my skin is blotchy, and blend well. So I'm coming from a standpoint of not liking a heavy makeup look.I am not sure whether this powder foundation gives as much coverage as a liquid, per the product description. Maybe if you apply a lot that is the case, but otherwise I found it quite light and subtle, which is a good thing. Especially since, as others have said, it is hard to pick up much product without removing the stretchy net inside the pot.I applied only a small amount, and blended it across my skin with a large brush. I have a fringe so I normally don't apply any foundation to my forehead, and dab a blotting paper on there to make sure my fringe doesn't get greasy (top tip!). I risked using this powder on my forehead, and it was mattifying but due to the mosturising elements it didn't keep my fringe as pristine as the paper normally would. For the same reason, I didn't find it drying.I like this foundation and will keep using it. I can't comment on the skin-improving aspects yet, although I don't see how it can be better for my skin than a BB cream.

If you've used mineral powders before, you won't be too surprised when you open the parcel and find L'Oreal have gone with placing their entry into a familar two inch cubed glass container with a screw on lid. If it's your first time using minerals, you can find basic instructions under the silver label on the bottom of the pot (make sure the lid is firmly on, first) but be warned the instructions are very basic and you'd be better off watching a make up tutorial video that covers using mineral foundation powders, brush choice and technique, etc. There are several good ones out there, so you'll be spoiled for choice.I have a light complexion and I'd be forgiven for worrying that the powder in the pot would look dark on me,but it doesn't. Once brushed on and blended with concealers and then finished off with my finishing powder, I have a very natural, matte look. On its own, it won't cover certain types of flaws, such as dark circles, so it's a must to use the correct concealers and apply them correctly for use with this type of foundation. It lasted fairly well and for what you get, my son (my aspiring makeup artist) and myself feel that this is a pretty decent alternative to many of the more expensive options we have used. It doesn't contain any SPF factor so you'll need to first apply an SPF containing moisturiser.

I really like this mineral powder, its lightweight, goes on well and gives good coverage that can be built by applying additional layers. It also looks fairly natural too.The container I'm not so impressed with; its unnecessarily bulky given the amount of powder it holds. The powder is held in place with a mesh covering but the opening to insert a brush is quite narrow, so it limits the brushes that can be used with it.A shame as I do like the powder, the container however doesn't work for me - sorry.Update and Review Revised:Having used this for a few weeks now I'm actually going to take back some of what I said about the container and upgrade my star rating.Yes the container is bulkier thana lot of mineral powders but there are some definite advantages to it.The mesh prevents overloading your brush and there's definitely less messAfter swirling your brush over the mesh your brush can be tapped on the side of the recess with loose powder going back into the container resulting in far less mess. Whilst I love the finish of mineral powder, for me a definite downside is the light film of mineral dust after I've finished with my swirl, tap and buffing and I've noticed I don't get that with this container.

L'Oreal Paris True Match Mineral finishing powder is a good working face powder for the one main reason it immediately reduces my oily T-Zone and this matte look has lasted all day. I like this particular finishing powder as it is translucent which means I am able to wear it with different foundations or even on my tinted moisturiser. The only one small flaw I have with it is the actual container as it is hard to get a powder brush into the main container plus my usual system of sprinkling a light coating of the product into the lid is impossible as it has a plug attached to the lid which does keep the product safe within the pot but makes the actual application rather difficult as I like touse a large powder brush which allows me to apply the product evenly over my face as there are fewer brush strokes needed. There is an extra bonus with the L'Oreal Paris True Match Mineral Finishing Powder as it will treat your skin while acting as a camouflage as it will help dry up the oil as well as preventing any more oil production, therefore, helping prevent blocked pores etc.I found this to be a great powder which I would purchase again as it does work and works well.Happy to recommend.

Looking at the pot, I was expecting a creamy or mousse formulation so I was taken aback when it arrived and it’s actually a powder!Open the pot and you find a deep plastic well that extends down into the base of the pot and there is a tab seal that you need to pull on and remove to reveal a mesh base to the well. The powder is held securely and mess-free within the pot and I use a powder brush to push down into the well, against the mesh holes where it picks up a light dusting of the powder to the apply to your face.I really wasn’t convinced this would do much, but actually it mattifies really well, and doesn’t feel cakey at all, it’s the lightest feeling foundation I’ve ever worn.It evens out my skintone to a moderate degree.... not as completely as a liquid foundation but I really like the light feel of this and that I don’t feel as made-up as usual.I don’t think I would use this for work or for a night out when I need a more flawless look, but this is absolutely perfect for weekends when I don’t want a heavily made-up look, but I still want an even complexion and a light base to my natural-looking make up!!

I would say overall I'm happy with this makeup. The packaging though is the worst. It has this little almost mesh like layer when you open the container at the bottom and you're meant to push your brush into it to get powder to go on your brush, then you're meant to tap the excess off. it's just not very good if you want to swirl it around first which you're meant to do with mineral makeups. Usually mineral makeups have a lid that you can pour some into but you can't with this. It won't work with a massive powder brush very well either because you won't fit it in. I had to buy a flat foundation kabuki brush and that works quite well. I find the colour is quite light so one I'll keep for winter rather than summer. It has pretty good coverage though. I wouldn't say it fully covers blemishes as I have a lot of spots and spot scars and they always show (that's thru any foundation I wear though). It definitely brings down the redness. Feels like I'm not really wearing it too which is nice, very breathable. I wouldn't recommend if you want full heavy coverage though. You won't get it with this.

This is a powder foundation. You get 10 g. It doesn't contain talc. And it's fragrance free. Th shade I received is Golden Ivory. I was concerned, this may be too orange but it's fine for a fair complexion. The formulation is based on powdered ingredients. The main ingredient is boron nitride, followed by kaolin – the clay. It also contains other powders, a small amount of wax and some pigment. It claims to be skin improving but I can't see how that will work unless ordinary foundation aggravates your skin. There is very minimal oil and wax in.The pot opens up to give you a deep well. You shake a little powder through the fabric sieve at the base. Then you dip in your brush – you need to supply your own brush.I use a large, flat foundation/complexion brush. Then you stipple it on.I find this gives good to medium coverage, even over broken veins. It's particularly useful during hot weather if you want to avoid shine. It gives a pretty, natural glow. I like it. It's a useful alternative to regular foundation. (Auntie B)

A lot has been said here about the discontinuation of the original L'Oreal True Match Minerals and the lack of an application brush in this newer product. I was quite upset when I could no longer get the original item as I had been using it for many years. However, I did buy this new one before I had run out of my current one. To overcome the fact there is no brush supplied, I simply cut out the mesh that covers the powder and used a teaspoon to transfer it from the new pot to the old one, gently tapping the pot, letting the powder fall through the holes into the container. It took half an hour but was worth it. So I would say to anyone to not throw away their old container and do exactly what I have done.In terms of the colour I bought D1 W1 Golden Ivory and can't seen any difference in colour between the old and new products and the new powder gives the same smooth coverage as the old one. Okay it's a bit of a pain having to transfer the powder to the old pot but it saved me having to buy a new make-up brush to apply it.

As an older woman with mature skin, I have become more critical of my make-up, and L’Oreal Mineral Foundation has definitely met my requirements. I needed a foundation that provided faultless coverage with streak-free and blotch-free results when I was younger, but now I as approach my mid-sixties, I require a foundation that does not emphasize my fine lines. L’Oreal True Match Mineral Foundation does match my skin color and texture, evens out my tone and I receive a flawless finish that minimizes fine lines. This mineral foundation gives me a natural look rather than some liquid foundations that impart a mask-like effect. It is a very light powder, oil free and 95% mineral based without perfume or preservatives added.I love the addition of the soft brush added within the container, handy and convenient for travel. True Match Mineral foundation is intended for all skin types, even dry mature skin; it brushes on smoothly, and diminishes the appearance of little fine lines on my face, for healthy younger looking skin.

This product comes in a lightweight but rather bulky, if attractive-looking, plastic squared container. The lid twists off which leaves you with precisely half the size container with the matt powder in the bottom half. I was surprised that the lid did not contain a brush for powder application as it is certainly an odd shape (see photo).I had difficulty accessing the powder as I was unsure how to get to the bottom. There is a sealed cover inside with a tab that needs pulling back. This revealed a mesh with the mineral powder beneath. So how effective is this product? It certainly did not conceal blemishes but on using a powder brush, I did note that it evened out skin tone. For me,this product is the penultimate phase of applying face make up with only the blusher to be applied thereafter. So, whilst the mineral powder works well, it is a shame about its packaging.

FOUNDATION===========It’s basically a liquid foundation in a little dispenser. And because of that it's super convenient to pop it in your bag. It is available in a few colours. The white is ideal for halloween, but it's also useful to blend with the darker shades. For example after the holidays I can use a darker shade as I have a tan. As that fades, my skin tone lightens and so a foundation in Summer is not the same in Winter.EVEN=====I was pleasantly surprised as it applies really evenly and looks flawless. It's not too heavy but gives a subtle airbrushed healthy glow when used with the darker shades.NATURAL=======It has a natural look. It looks nice close up too. Obviously the white isn't natural, but you can attain a natural shade with ease.TIP===I think a little investment in a sponge will pay dividends.OVERALL=======It's a fine foundation.
