Comments below are from my wife after discussion with our grand-daughter.“She has never used anything like this before, and found it slightly bewildering to start off with, but it went on well, and soon she was using it like a pro. This finishing powder is up to the usual high standard of L'Oreal products that we've used recently, though the design itself could really do with a rethink.My wife tried this out and found that the pot was huge for the amount of powder you get inside. The squarish pot has a lid that takes up half the height and has a large round inside that means the pot looks like it has more powder than it really does when closed. Twisting it to open, the inside is a circular shape and has a pull out tab to open the gauze-like filter, allowing small amounts of powder out in an almost sieve-like effect, This means that to use the powder, you'll need to put it on to a surface or hand, then pick up with a brush to apply.

I really like the packaging for this powder, the large metallic green lid has a very modern look to it.The format for this powder is interesting and very different to other products out there. The powder is under a fine mesh and you dip your brush over the mesh to coat it with powder. It's unusual but I think it's a good way to make sure you don't overload your brush with product.The powder is very fine and you only need a tiny amount. The powder is translucent so should work on all skin tones. I have olive skin and it worked for me, there was no white cast over my face. I like to dust the powder all over my face, I feel that it sets my makeup and makes it last all day. The powder is mattifying,

A light finishing powder that's colourless, lightweight and easy to apply over most types of foundation without blotching. The powder comes out of the bottom of the pot through a fine mesh and I sprinkle it into the palm of my hand and use a brush to take it up onto my face. A small amount of powder is all that's needed and don't be put off by the lack of colour because it's supposed to give a neutral finish. Sets foundation and blusher but will work in a moderate way to reduce an oily appearance on bear skin. My skin certainly feels less oily and my makeup stays in place, out of my facial lines, for longer than usual. Not a bad product but it has two problems; the pot's too small for an average sized cosmetic brush or pad and it's difficult to remove the sticky,

I have extremely oily skin so i always use a powder in my makeup routine. I was really excited to try this and see how it works in comparison to my high end powders! The powder itself is very fine and has a baby powder type smell which i love! It goes on very smoothly and leaves skin feeling and looking very soft, not to dry! I tested this when i went to work and by the end of the day my face had not become oily so it definitely lasted.The only thing i do not like about this is the packaging. I like to tip powder onto the lid and i could not do this with this powder because the lid is a weird shape! I found it difficult to get the actual product out without making a mess.

This is a mineral finishing powder that really is effective at minimising the oil on my skin. I have a greasy T zone and this does cause me a problem by mid morning. I used this and it really does work and also is a great finishing powder that sets my foundation too.The pot is very small with a large lid and there is no applicator included. A normal power brush is far too big so I used a cosmetic sponge the first time, straight from the pot. This morning I put the powder on the bag of my hand and transferred to my face with the brush, this is a bit finicky but I feel achieved by far the best result.Whilst I am delighted with the results this is expensive for a finishing powder as there is only a small amount in the pot and will not last very long.

I was super excited to try this Finishing Mineral Powder as I am always at the hunt for best possible, yet affordable makeup. I have to say I was super surprised when I got this one in my hands. It has got silky smooth texture, it is super lightweight and does not clogs pores. It works just great with liquid powders (even the heavy ones) as setting powder. Does not highlight dry skin patches, does not blot or collect in fine lines and wrinkles. It just simply create delicate vail of matt loveliness that last long. The lifespan of it is around 6h, later it fades away. I like the fact that it is translucent powder, so it can be used with literally every possible skin tone.

This is a nice product and I tend to use a coloured mineral foundation to help my skin which is still prone to spots even as an adult but when I need more coverage and use a liquid foundation this is very nice over the top and helps to prevent oil really well.I normally use a compact translucent power or No7 do quite a large pot of translucent powder but it isn't mineral. I notice you don't get an awful lot of power in the pot and the pot isn't even full to the top - that's why it's lost a star. If he portions were more generous then I would continue with this product as mineral products are perfect for sensitive skin as they don't irritate or clog pores.

This L'Oreal Paris True Match Minerals Finishing Powder is a translucent powder to help mattify the skin. I suffer with oily/combination skin and can look very shiny by the end of the day. I normally use a BB Cream and then Pur Minerals powder. I used this Finishing Powder on top of the BB CReam and it gave great results, my skin seemed less oily and it did not feel as though my pores were clogged. The packaging for this powder is a little over the top and difficult to use, style over substance I think! It was difficult to dispense the amount of powder I needed, I prefer to use a large makeup bush and this was difficult. Quite expensive for the amount of powder received.

I ususally stay away from setting powders as I have extremely dry skin and any amount of powder just cakes on and looks terrible, I have tried a high end translucent setting powder which was great but far to expensive to justify buying it. Loreal setting powder is so fine in texture that it sits on my dry skin perfectly, stops my concealer from creasing and ensures it stays on for ages without drying onto my skin. I am sure it is reasonably priced with great benefits so I cAn finally set my make up without it drying. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This powder does extremely well at getting rid of shine and setting my makeup, keeping me matte for most of the day. It has a lovely fine texture and feels super soft. The only thing I struggle with is getting the powder out, there is a sort of net over the powder and it doesn't always pass through when I shake it. Also, the pot is a lot smaller than other loose powders so I can't swirl my usual big powder brush in it, I have to use a much smaller one. Other than that the powder is lovely and works well. True Match Minerals Mattifying Powder comes in a container that makes it very easy to use. There is a net type mesh in the neck of the container which stops you using too much on you'd brush. Great for setting your make up and taking the sheen off of your skin. The texture is lovely and soft like a satin powder. There is no shjne to this product at all. The packaging looks really nice. When opening the pot it has a mesh protector on. Which makes the powder not spill out as much. It doesn't have a scent to it. The powder is well fine and smooth. When on your face it's doesn't feel heavy. It mattifys your skin and doesn't leave a powdery look on your face. Absolutely fabulous setting powder with a truly luxurious feel to it. Long-lasting, quick setting with a flawless finish. The brush that came with the powder was a real bonus and I would highly recommend this. Seems to be beneficial for the skin as well. L'oreal products just keep on improving and it's a real pleasure to use always- not just the once. Can see a marked difference in the face and vary from light to medium to heavy coverage. This is a good quality finishing translucent finishing powder which sets your make up and increases its longevity. It gives a natural matte look without the drying aspect which some powders can do. I think it's very good indeed. My only issues with it is that - as another reviewer has mentioned - there isno easy way to get the powder on your brush in the lid or shelf at the top of the pot. Like the other reviewer I use the back of my back. Other than that I can recommend it happily.
