I received L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation over a week ago and I decided to try it really hard to see how good it can perform during the day or night out as brand promises a lot – 24h long wearing pigmentation, full coverage (they say you can even cover your tattoos) and matte, light finish with no transfer or overload. So, let’s bring it on and test it!For start – I do have a very sensitive, fair and combination skin, which goes from oily over T- zone to very dry (sometimes flaky) on cheeks. I always struggle to get my foundation right as I simply hate the mask effect that sometimes can occur when using high pigment, high coverage foundations or drying effect over dry parts of my face.Often I do need to compromise by using foundation with wet effect to not look like one huge flake. My attempt to L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation:First thing that I spotted straight away was formula. Really fluffy, almost mousse like was very easy to blend with both – brushes and fingers. This Total Cover foundation got this specific formula – mousse to powder, that just melts well as you apply and when it sinks onto skin it turns to very light, powdery finish that creates lovely, smooth and impurities free canvas. It is really well made – you need only very small amount to cover full face. It has got no peculiar scent, which is good for people who do not like when make up overpowers perfumes.SHADE LIGHT SAND:Shade ‘Porcelain’ is absolutely lovely pale shade. Great for most light European skin tones. It is more on ‘yellow’ than pink side. It matches my NW15 skin perfectly. What about 24h wear? Well I never tried to even attempt to wear foundation for such a long time, but I have to say – it stays all day. There is no caking, no transfer. It does not collect in wrinkles. It stays all time in right place without change. It does not oxidize or change appearance, which is lovely. What about tattoos to cover? I tried this out of curiosity. Tried to cover my tattoo (mostly black and ginger ink) and well… Foundation covered some parts of tattoo but… it was still visible. Of course I did not expect for my tattoo to disappear completely as I knew without concealer and powder is almost impossible. I have to admit that anyway L’Oreal made a great job creating Total Cover. PROS:- Great and easy to apply formula- No scent- Long lasting- No transfer, no caking, no oxidization- Affordable- Absolutely great for Oily skin tones- Lovely pale shades to match light completions.CONS:- This ‘cover your tattoo’ thing – works only partly (probably will be good for tiny and light coloured tattoos.)SHADE LIGHT SAND:Shade ‘Light sand’ is absolutely lovely pale shade. Great for most light European skin tones. It is more on ‘yellow’ than pink side. It matches my NW15 skin perfectly. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Having fair/light skin with freckles, I personally find it difficult to find a foundation that not only matches my true skin colour but has the ability to also cover any blemishes that I have, while still allowing my skin to look 'natural', however this foundation did just that & I am over the moon about it! The Infallible total cover in light-sand is a light toned foundation that emphasised & complemented my natural fair coloured skin, that allows for full coverage with only a small amount of the foundation having to be used. I also felt less need for using as much concealer as I usually apply while using this foundation! The foundation was easily and evenly applied over my face and neck using a foundation brush. The foundation felt lightweight and 'breathable' upon my skin, & gave it a flawless, matte complexion. My face had complete coverage throughout the entire day, with no need for applying any more foundation. At first I was anxious about the size of the tube and how soon I would be needing to replace the foundation, however I was pleasantly surprised at how little foundation was actually needed in order to completely cover my face & neck & was also obviously dissillusioned by less packaging meaning less product, which is not the case with this foundatiin at all! I will definitely be re-purchasing the Infallible total cover foundation in light sand, once this tube eventually runs out! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was given two different shades of Loreal's infallible total cover foundation to try. This is one of the shades - 24 - Golden Beige. On the package it says "Full Coverage Longwear Foundation, weightless feel". The coverage is listed as "high". I initially thought that the colour was too dark for me, but after trying it on a second time, I found that it actually gave my skin a healthy sun kissed glow - it has a yellow, warm undertone. I wouldn't say that the coverage was "full" on the first application. You need to apply and re-apply a couple of layers to cover dark spots or blemishes. However what I really really liked was that for the first time, I noticed that my skin was not clogging after a couple of days use.No spots, no clogged pores! Moreover, even though it is oil free and gives a matte effect, there is no flakiness, and it doesn't highlight open pores. It glides on smoothly and gives the illusion of a perfect complexion. I have attached a photo which compares the two shades I received. The top shade is Golden Beige and the lower shade is Golden Sand. To my eye, I would say that Golden Beige has a warmer yellowy tone and Golden Sand is the lighter shade, with a slightly pinker undertone. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was given two different shades of Loreal's infallible total cover foundation to try- Golden Beige and Golden Sand. This is one of the shades - 21 - Golden Sand. On the package it says "Full Coverage Longwear Foundation, weightless feel". The coverage is listed as "high". This shade is the lighter of the two shades and would suit someone with a fairer complexion. At £8.99 for 35g, it is a great value for money item and in my opinion, its effects are comparable to more expensive brands. I love that is non-comedogenic and that it covers imperfections on my face. It is also easy to blend, has a silky consistency, and a light, weightless feel. If you have really oily skin, this foundation is brilliant at mopping up any oily shine. My only suggestion is that to help in choice of shades, it would be good if the packaging listed if the shade was cool-toned or warm-toned.I have attached a photo which compares the two shades I received. I was a little sceptical when I first received Infallible Total Cover Foundation – after all – calling a product ‘Infallible’ is quite some claim! But I was very pleasantly surprised that it indeed stood up to its assertions! My skin is fair to medium complexion with a tendency to redness across my cheeks so the 009 Light Sand looked like a good match in the tube. My first application with a brush didn’t yield very good results as it has quite a thick formula but I then tried applying it with a damp sponge and the result was much better. The foundation doesn't feel too heavy on the skin and a little goes a long way. The coverage is impressive and it conceals any redness or imperfections really well. Now for the test of time!I usually find that when foundation is applied first thing in the morning, I am always having to reapply by early afternoon. However, Infallible Total Cover Foundation is still going strong at the end of the working day and all I need is a dab of powder around my T-zone to be After-Work ready and still look good.I would definitely recommend this as it gives a polished flawless look and lasts really well. In my opinion this foundation is as good, if not better than many other high end foundations that are available, and that I have used in the past. It allows for full coverage, even with only a small amount of foundation used. My actual skin tone is fair with freckles and the golden beige colour foundation (albeit slightly darker than my actual skin tone) complemented my skin beautifully, gave it a healthy, matte, complexion which looked very natural & more importantly (for me personally) it covered my freckles! The foundation applied effortlessly with a foundation brush that I used & sat upon my face and neck flawlessly throughout the whole day, without the need of applying any more.I was slightly concerned at first about the size of the foundation tube, because I like full coverage & was expecting to have to use a large amount of foundation each time but I was pleasantly surprised that this was not the case at all. A little, definitely does go a long way with this foundation! I will definitely be purchasing the Infallible total cover foundation in golden beige again-if this tube ever runs out! It's been a while since I've worn a full coverage foundation. Mainly because the ones i used previously broke me out! I have combination skin and an oily t-zone. Firstly I really like the packaging! I love anything black. I really like the size of the tube as it's so convenient when you need to travel. I like that it is a tube you can squeeze the product out, i get to control how much I want to use this way.The shade golden sand was a little light for me to use all over my face but worked great in the places i would usually highlight. It went on very smoothly and so easy to blend out! I tested the foundation out when I needed to go into work and I can say it lasted beautifully all day!It didn't even feel like i was wearing a full coverage foundation. It didn't leave me looking oily either throughout the day. It was definitely full coverage, i didn't need much concealer after putting on the foundation.I would highly recommend this foundation if your looking for something full coverage and weightless! Of the two shades of Infallible Total cover I have tried this is my favourite. I think it is perfect for those of us with fair skin as it is not too pale and it has a flattering touch of sandy colour. This foundation has a very thick smooth creamy texture that is pretty different to any other brand I have used. You only need to use a tiny dab to get amazing coverage. The foundation covers 99% of imperfections in one sweep and is fabulous if you have an uneven skin tone. If there are any little areas it does not cover totally, like broken veins for instance, you can build up the foundation to cover them easily without it looking cakey or clumpy.Even though this has such a thick rich texture you hardly notice the foundation on your skin at all and it really does feel as light as a feather. It lasts all day as promised as well!As you only need to use a very small amount of this every day I think the tube will last and last as well making it a fab buy!
