Never been able to say this before, but I found my perfect shade that matched my skin tone and complimented my undertones. I went to my local store and a tech helped me to match my perfect shade. The product gives this beautiful, lightly matte finish. With just a few drops you can get minimal coverage to even out your skin tone and is perfect for every day wear. It is very buildable so you can definitely get medium-to-full coverage. I really appreciate the vast color range. Since it is a very watery foundation, a sponge would absorb most of the product, so applying with a brush is a MUST. Note: The product can separate so be sure to shake it before every use. The finish was lightly powdery and looked like my natural skin,and the color blended flawlessly. I loved the coverage and finish so I found no need for a setting powder. I paired it with NYX Bright Idea highlighter and the foundation didn't lift. The creamy highlighter gave me an overall lightly-dewy look, so I would recommend a powder highlighter if you're going for a super mattified look. The product itself is SUPER lightweight, it doesn't feel like you're even wearing it. It is very soft on the skin and gives this velvety, luxurious texture. I am extremely put off by greasy foundation or foundation that takes too long to dry or gives a cakey look.This is the most natural looking and feeling foundation that I have ever tried. I am in love! Would definitely recommend.

My skin hates foundation. It always looks awful no matter what moisturizer I use or primer. So for a long time I just stopped wearing any foundation at all. I settled for concealing my under eyes and blemishes and the doing the rest of my makeup as I normally would. I don't know why I decided to buy this foundation. I had tried it a year or so ago and hated. I tried it again and used a real techniques sponge to apply it and I have never been more in love with a product. I can go for sheer to almost full coverage and it still looks great! I don't have to set it other than on my nose and chin because I somehow rub my foundation off there even though I don't touch my face... This foundation looks like skin.It's practically undetectable on my face. Now, it's not perfect. If I put too much around my smile lines and don't set it well, it will settle. Compared to everything else I have tried that makes me look oily or cakey and crusty, I have to give this five stars. I cannot and will not wear any other foundation. A little goes a very long way and I will definitely repurchase this when I run out. I don't know what I will do if this product gets discontinued. Holy Grail product for me. And the fact that it is small and I can throw it in a makeup bag when I have to do my makeup on the go is another huge plus. If you haven't tried this product with a damp sponge, you are missing out!!!!!!!!!!

I have been using this product for over month, which has given me a fair opportunity to experiment with it. What I found was that even though the directions state one to four drops depending on coverage level, I have noticed I need to use more. This is not as bad as I thought it would be from the first opinion. I wear this foundation to work and I am constantly on the move. I like a medium to full coverage for my foundation and this product does that. You are literally in control with the dropper. As I said it does take more than the packaging recommendations, but overall for the price, it is a great product that does what it should...stay on your skin. Also,I have added this to my moisturizer when I am in a rush in the morning and it still does a perfect job covering, think of it as a BB cream substitute. Another tip I have tried is adding it to other foundations that were light in coverage, it adds to the consistency and creates more coverage where and when you need it. A nice add on to any makeup addict's collection or for those who are low maintenance and like quick results!! One last note, the brush that is recommended is a nice brush with a thicker foundation. It is not dense enough to keep the product at the top of the bristles and soaks up the product into the base of the brush fibers. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was first sceptical about this foundation because of it being a dropper serum foundation. Well, it proved me wrong and I absolutely love it. I am very fair. For shade reference I am a NC10 in Mac and the shade Alabaster in the Nyx foundation. I was so surprised to find out that Alabaster wasn't the lightest shade. So if you are a pale princess (thataylaa reference), you will most likely find your shade! I was also amazed that this didn't slide off throughout the day, in fact, it held up extremely well. I have acne prone/combination skin. It has not caught onto dry patches and it does help my oil a bit. I still get only throughout the day, but it doesn't slide off. I actually fell asleep (don't do that lol)with foundation on and the next morning it was still on. I haven't broken out from this at all. I love the finish of this, because it velvety and flawless. I usually am pretty tough to impress with foundations, but I was pleasantly surprised. It does give medium/full coverage. I am not sure about full coverage, because still see a little skin peaking through. Still very flawless finish though. The only thing I would complain about would be how much product you get for the price. I would be happier with a full ounce of product. However, I think I found a new favorite foundation!

I'm picky about foundation because I have a hard time finding the right shade. Most shades that are olive enough in tone for me are too dark. Most of the ones that are in my light-medium range are too pinky-orange for me. I've been wanting a lighter weight foundation (as opposed to my usual It Cosmetics) for the warmer weather, but wasn't willing to sacrifice good coverage. When I saw "medium olive" as a color in the Total Control foundation at the NYX store, I decided to give it a shot. Testing it on my wrist, the color looked just right. When I tried it on my face, I found that as noted, four drops provided good full coverage with a smooth, matte, non-streaky, non-chalky look.The way I have been applying it is as follows: put two drops on the back of my left hand. Use a big, dense brush (Sephora #94) to pick up a little and apply, swirling with the brush to blend. Do one side of my face with those two drops. Then repeat for the other side of the face. I find that the larger brush helps distribute the product evenly so I don't use too much in one place and not enough in another. Also, doing half my face at a time ensures that I am covering my face evenly. If you want a lightweight foundation with good coverage, this is a wonderful option!

Im accustomed to dropping exorbitant amounts of money on foundations from Lorac, Philosophy, etc because I have always had a horribly uneven complexion. I managed to stumble upon a bottle of this and the brush a week ago at my local Ulta during one of my routine excursions and I will begin by saying that I went back to buy four more bottles after taking home the first one to try it out. :PThis foundation is incredible! First of all, its super easy to apply, I'm finding myself spending just a couple minutes each morning prepping my face for everything else with this. The shade is perfect (24 options, hello?!); I'm using the lightest shade available which is the pale drops because I look like a ghost year round I'm so pale.I initially applied it without the angled brush by Nyx and while the end result was still nice, not much better than what I was used to. The brush makes 110% of the difference. Lays even, covers just as much you want it to, silky smooth texture, just matte enough without looking like you have fifty layers of foundation caked on, and lasts ALL DAY. Defenitiely worth the buy, ladies and gents.

I love this foundation. It has medium coverage and I like that I can actually go without under eye concealer as it brightens up my under eyes and covers my eye bags too. I also noticed that it stood up well to my over active tear ducts and didn't noticeably bleeding as long as I patted my eyes with a handkerchief and didn't wipe with my fingers.It lasted well throughout the day on my combination skin without clinging to dry patches or enhancing my oily T zone. However I did notice that around 10 hours of wear it does begin to breakdown but not to a point that it looks horrible and cakey or begins to seperate, it just looked slightly more textured.Also for first hour or 2 I found that it matched my skin perfectly and I am very pale,but after that it didn't so much oxidise as it began to turn to a more yellow undertone and I am a neutral undertone. Also it did sit in this one annoying crease that I have in my smile line, but so far I haven't a foundation that doesn't do that. So overall I love this foundation and would definitely repurchase, it's not perfect but it's pretty close

I was looking for a new foundation and decided to give this a try. I read the reviews and was a little concerned it might not be what I was looking for but for the price figured I might as well give it a try since many of the reviews were positive. Well, when I first got it I tried to apply with a brush and I did not like the look. It was kind of hard to apply as I felt it dried very quickly and it ended up a bit chalky and showed the imperfections in my skin. Then I decided to try something a little different. I put a small dab of CeraVe or Cetaphil lotion (depending what I have on hand) on the back of my hand then put a few drops of foundation on top of it and blend.I apply that mixture with a damp beauty blender/sponge. Then I usually set with a translucent powder. That combination has seemed to work perfectly!!! Looks very natural and not chalky or patchy at all. Does not settle in lines and goes over other imperfections beautifully. Definitely not a full coverage but I'm sure with a little less lotion and more drops of foundation you could make it fuller coverage if desired.

Okay, so first and foremost, I can see why a lot of people don't like this foundation. It initially comes off as watery and super sheer upon first application. However, this foundation is absolutely a holy grail for oily-skinned people who want sheer to medium coverage - something that does NOT exist in the current market at any price point. I have oily, porous skin and it is a chore trying to find foundation that won't break, crack, slide off, or cake. I live in the humid South, and I can tell you I put this foundation to the TEST. I put ONE layer on usually, with a beauty blender and bam. It's a your-skin-but-better look. I wesr it usually 10-12 hours per day, and while everything else may have faded,my skin still looks great. I have used it with and without primer, and to be honest the application was the same either way. If you're looking for a dewy foundation or something full coverage don't worry, because 99% of foundation is made for you. However, if you're an oilslick kind of person like I am, this is definitely something you want to try.

This product is so amazing because for your control because the amount of drops you add to your face, the more and more coverage you get. This foundation also has a good variety range between darkest to lightest. I also enjoy the applicator of the dropper, it was a smart idea too because you are also in control of the amount you put on your more than squeezing the foundation out or pumping it on your hand. The consistency of the foundation is just the right amount of liquid and it's hard for the foundation to dry out if its left open or out. The bottle is also cute because it's made up of glass that's hard to break. The only downfall of this product is the amount that comes in the bottle.Usually the bottle lasts me about 2-3 months but I wish there was a bigger bottle. Another downfall is when the foundation starts to run out, the dropper isn't long enough to get to the bottom therefore I have to start forcing the foundation to come out the bottom. Regardless of all the downfalls, this is my first foundation and my favorite for a while. Thank you NYX!

If you have a foundation that was too dark, mix a couple drops of this in and you may be able to salvage a product that didn't quite fit. I have a good number of foundations I've tried that were too dark, and these drops allow me to use them instead of throwing money away. I also like using them mixed into a bit of moisturizer or over a hydrating primer before it's set. For me, I find the texture of the drops alone is a bit too matte usually. I put on an spf moisturizer and give myself a good layer of hydration, and then buff these drops in and it looks fine. If the texture or finish is your problem, don't give up! I mix it into a product I like the texture of that happens to be too warm for my skin,and it works beautifully. If you've purchased this, please play around with it before giving up! It's very versatile. It was a bit expensive for the amount given, but seeing as I can actually use it I think it's a better deal than buying cheaper foundations that end up pulling too dark or oxidizing and not matching me later.

i am shade Alabaster and its a very good shade match for me especially for in winter. this is actually the first foundation ive found that doesnt break the bank which suits my needs and is pale enough. i personally use foundation more to even out my skin tone and i love a natural matt finish and i use around 6 drops (actual drops not half pipettes) for my whole face and i find it gives me all the light coverage i want. only problem i found is that it doesnt work well for dry skin. i have dry skin and when it gets bad and i have dry patches this foundation defininity makes them show very much and i also find that foundation gets into the part of the bottle where the lid twists on which is a bit annoying but there is not leakages.overall,wouldnt reconmend for very dry skin looking for high coverage, but if youre looking for light weight and light coverage easy to blend foundation this is good start! i will be re buying once my current bottle runs out and i will be buying the next shade up for summer :)

I'm unbelievably fair skinned with yellow undertones and I didn't believe it when I heard that NYX came out with a foundation that might match me, but it's true! I ALWAYS have to use their pro foundation mixer in 'White' to make my shade, but this product in 'Pale' is the first one I've ever been able to use without tweaking it. I also really enjoy the formula. I use 3 drops for my face, one for my neck, and my skin looks flawless. With that amount I get about medium coverage and it looks like SKIN, not makeup, which is super important to me. It has a radiant finish when first applied but it sets down a bit after 20 minutes or so, which I like because I'm combination/oily.I don't think this would be good for dry skin as it clung to dry patches when my skin was dehydrated, but for normal/oily skin types this will be fantastic! I'm strictly a high end girl when it comes to foundation, but NYX has my heart with this one. I'll be stocking up on this gem for sure!

I was super excited to see NYX coming out with a foundation with this lightweight, yet customize-able coverage foundation and hopeful that it would deliver. Great news, it totally does! This formula is fantastic! It truly is lightweight, doesn't feel like you have anything on. The coverage goes from sheer to full, depending on the amount of drops you use. I have large pores and oily skin (gotta love it) and it worked really well for me. Pores look smoother and the finish is lovely, a matte meets satin look. I have been using powder foundation lately, but I am excited to switch back to liquid and this is just the foundation to switch to! Bonus on this, great color range for us fair skinned gals.I have very fair skin and I am able to use the second lightest shade, and that really is awesome for the gals who normally cannot find a foundation light enough. The lightest shade truly is a great porcelain shade. Thumbs on this one, NYX! Please don't get rid of it!
