Mascara which can produce a false lash effect produces some feelings of trepidation, false eye lashes can give a subtle boost to the eyes of can look really OTT, heading towards a pantomine dame. A double ended product appeals as one hopes to be able to control the effect.There are no instructions other than the product is labeled at each end 1 and 2. Being conventional I started with the end labeled you've guessed '1' So the products is at each end, hold the middle and unscrew. The brush is quite long- bristles not the jagged plastic teeth in some products, but it is shaped so wider at the top and bottom. It easy easy to apply. The No. 1 seem quite thick hard to get a smooth effect without lumps.

L'Oreal Paris False Lash X-Fibre is certainly a mascara which does add body to the eyelashes and is an effect which I do like. There are two mascara wands, one on each end of the mascara. Number 1 is the primer and it is well marked with a huge "1" which allows you to put on the correct product on first which really does add to the definition and build of your eyelashes. I also found this seemed to add quite a bit of body to my lashes which I badly needed.The "2" marked end is the mascara and I personally loved the blackness of this as it really aided my eyes to stand out especially as I wear glasses,

Although I find wearing false lashes rather uncomfortable and annoying at times, I often resort to wearing them when I want to make my eyelashes look striking and bold as a preference and to avoid wearing intense, thick black mascara that often runs and smudges during a night out, but now those days (or in my case nights) are finally over! The X fiber xtreme resist waterproof mascara mimics that of false lashes making my lashes look long, sculptured and eye catching without the need for falsies! The mascara has 2 parts. Both are of an intense black shade and both enriched with fibres that attach to each individual lash resulting in striking and defined lashes.

The mascara arrives inside a classy looking mascara sized cardboard box.This 'L'Oreal False Lash Superstar X fibre' mascara is contained inside an elegant metallic purple mascara barrel. The barrel is in an hour glass shape which unscrews at the centre to reveal two mascara wands. One of the wands is in a curved shape and the other is in a spiral shape. This isn't a mascara for a mini make up bag. Compact it is not, in fact it's the largest mascara I have ever seen.However, it's a good one to have if you are forever ferreting for the mascara you carry loose in your big bag for emergency touch-ups.The reason for the bulk is because it's not just a mascara but a mascara plus a separately added primer with its own wand.One end of the container is the primer that you apply first, marked 1, the other is the mascara itself, helpfully marked 2, I'm not sure the primer really helped in itself, but the brush is a useful shape for getting everything lifted and separated ready for the false lash look.It's not a one coat and run mascara,

The first problem on receiving this product was no packaging instructions informing me about this product, what it could do to enhance the eye area and how to apply. A large wand with the numbers 1 at one end and 2 at the other end and a quick google made application simple.However, whilst applying the mascara in a two-prong attack, I was not convinced that this could not all be accomplished in one simple sweep of the lashes and then re-application.The product, attractive as it is in purple, is rather long - no doubt the length of the stick needed for two mascara wands at either end. This is not ideal for a small make up bag or travelling. I am lucky to have long black eyelashes and without doubt,

I had permanent eyelash extensions for months, when they were removed I was left with horrible stubby lashes where my once healthy, long lashes were pre-extensions. I bought this hoping it would mimic a longer lash while my natural lashes recovered and grew back, the mascara was a lifesaver alongside Dior lash serum which I used as a base coat to encourage lash growth. Application of the second mascara is slightly different to a normal mascara, you almost press it onto the lengths and tips of the lash to adhere the fibers- making your lashes appear longer and fuller. It works!! My only gripe is that after 2 months both mascaras are a bit clumpy and are not applying as well as they did when I first bought the product,

First time I have tried this mascara and it surpassed expectation. Many claim to achieve a curled lash look without the need for eyelash curlers, but to date none of them have done this for me.... until now. Usually use curlers, but genuinely, it is not necessary with this product. Do use the brushes in the right order, as this ensures a good end result... tried using them at random and the effect is compromised.The other plus is the curl lasts all day and the mascara is so long wearing, there is no need for any reapplication during the day.I always use waterproof mascara and this one certainly achieved that and my usual eye make up remover for waterproof products takes this off completely with no effort.Really impressed with the all round performance of this product,

I've previously used the non waterproof version of this mascara and been really impressed with it but during the winter months when my eyes start to water from the cold outside (I have quite sensitive eyes) a waterproof version is very welcome! This mascara is great at providing volume and still good definition with the primer, plus length when using the second step mascara. The primer is black so I tend to use that on its own for a daytime look and then apply the second for a more dramatic look in the evening. Both steps seem to be waterproof and very very waterproof at that! I've been swimming in this mascara and it doesn't budge. It also doesn't smudge at all even if I rub my eyes.

L'Oreal you're going wrong by not describing this product as life proof. I cried, I napped, I had allergies and this product just laughed it off, held a curl and looked as flawless as when I put it on 12 hours earlier. One of the best mascaras I've ever used. The step 1 side is a really nice subtle mascara but after adding step 2 it really ramps the look up and creates this bold feathery false lash effect. I'm all about lashes so this is just completely perfect. Really just blown away as I have oily skin and dry eczema prone eyelids so I always use a heavy moisturising cream near my eyes and it just honestly laughed it off. Not a smudge, flake or clump to be seen.

So I love mascaras that don’t clump and aren’t toot thick in texture, this, along with the primer ticks both those boxes. Nice and buildable for volume but I love long defined lashes and this does both very well indeed. Love the fact the primer is black too, no annoying white patches on your lashes, gives great definition to the lashes and isn’t drying on them. I found it didn’t flake at all and was fine to wear with my contact lenses too, easy to remove to boot! Great price, especially compared to buying a primer separately and mascara, I have used a high end primer and was not as impressed as I am with this one. Nice consistency and good spread on the lashes.
