The Lee Filter Holder is a three filter holder for the Lee system, and is foundational to using it. Lee make very high end photographic filters for professionals, and the boutique, premium filters which can be obtained from specialist manufacturers are generally designed to fit the Lee standard. In order to use this, you also need the relevant adaptor for your lens thread.On the surface of it, this is one of the most unexciting pieces of kit you can add to your camera and you may baulk at the expense of adding something so plain. Got my filter holder as part of the Starter Kit, so didn't have to assemble it, although can't think it would take much explanation.Yes it is a bit pricey, but well crafted products are never cheap and if you are paying close to a grand for a camera and several hundred a throw for lenses, bitching about paying sixty for a quality filter holder seems cheapskate.Some reviewers knock it for being 'plastic'. Yes it is plastic not metal, but thats not to imply that it is somehow shoddy or flimsy; it is firm and rigid and being 'plastic' is also lightweight. It is a well engineered product.Yes you do need to purchase a separate adaptor ring for each size of lens you have,

Just got the Lee kit to replace my aging Cokin Kit and what a difference. Not cheap, but a precision photo acessory never is.Only problem was getting a Lee ND 0.6 Soft Grad - not one in the country at the moment and 1000's on back order. Had to source one from Ireland at the huge cost of 90 euros.

I bought this product to use with my Canon 5D Mark III and was not disappointed. Excellent build quality and very easy to fit and use.Also very impressed with the service I received. Product was very well packed and arrived super quickly.Would definitely recommend!!

It is very well made and will last for years if looked after, very easy to fit on and off a adaptor ring. Sold separately. A little over priced.
