I felt the need to add to my earlier review simply because the price of these beans has now shot up well beyond that which can often be got locally. This is such a shame as I'd been buying bulk packs regularly from Amazon when at a stroke the supplier changed and the price hiked. This doesn't make these beans any worse in flavour of course but, at this new price, forces them to compete with many other high quality beans.Original review:We were bought a De'Longhi Magnifica ESAM4200 Bean-to-Cup Coffee Maker about three years ago now and have slowly worked our way through many different brands and types of coffee bean. These ones stand out. They produce a strong but not bitter cup with a good "crema" which holds even if making a large Americano.

I now buy fresh roasted beans from my local roaster 'The Galway Roast' here in Ireland. If I run out these are my go to beans. Thats high praise. Fine for my moka pot. Straight forward reliable with lovely aroma and no jitters which I would get from lavazzas Rossa beans. Actually most impressive in the french press with a course grind. Best you'll get from a supermarket. So in that regard very impressive. Taste has decent punch but not that strong. Well balanced and never too strong.

Some people have reviewed this coffee as not being very strong; I can only assume they must be drowning the coffee with milk (which is not the Italian way) of drinking coffee. This coffee has a chocolaty taste and full flavoured. Very nice and would recommendDaveBarnsley

Similar to other previous reviews, although not really an espresso, it has a nice rounded flavour. A great price for a bean that is superior to any similar supermarket product in flavour. Would definitely order more if price stays down.

Excelent coffe. I like this pacgages of 250g each which I opened and feel my coffee machine. I loke it very much amd taste of coffee is great for good value. I received this order very quickly. Thank you

This is pretty nice coffee. However, it is a dark italian roast so there is not much subtlety to it. There are plenty of online artisan roasters who sell a more interesting bean.

usual good quality lavazza.Some espressos can be a little harsh even bitter but this has the smooth taste and very pleasing aroma that lavazza is famed for.I will be buying more!

Great Beans, have great taste, good body and no bitternes - aroma is a little on the light side compared with some other coffees - but in general a great kickstart to the day.

Great coffee beans at a very good price. Excellent quality and perfect for the coffee-grinder and then goes on to produce a wonderful espresso. Promptly delivered too.

I love the taste of fresh ground coffee, you just cant beat it. This is not quite as strong as I'd like it but its an all round decent espresso if not phenomenal

These coffee beans are the nuts and produce a fragrant aroma which has to be smelt to appreciate.I have had these before and am always well pleased with them.

If you want a taste of Italy this is the coffee for you.I find them better ground very fineI ordered two packs to avoid paying postal charges.Enjoy.
