Lavazza has been my favorite for a while and I just came upon it by chance. My boyfriend and I are very into coffee, and sometimes joke that we are turning into coffee snobs- we don't like to waste our taste buds on terrible coffee! We gave up our typical coffee maker a while back and love our French press and Mokka makers (bought here: http://www.amazon.com/Bialetti-06905-6-Cup-Espresso-Coffee/dp/B00IEHNOEK?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage) and one day at an Italian restaurant when out of town, we ordered espresso. It came in Lavazza espresso cups, which is when my boyfriend exclaimed how much he loved it and had forgotten all about it!Apparently he drank some in Europe and the name stuck with him (who knows lol)! So, for his birthday a few years ago I bought a sample variety of Lavazza and we have been stuck on it since.Pro's:Whole bean means you can grind as fine or coarse as you'd likeWill be a fresher cup of coffee because you ground it right then!Incredibly smooth. You can make a mean cup of mokka with this that gives a lot of crema or you can just do a French press which is delishSmells like a coffee shop, unlike some brands of coffee you may have triedGreat price for the value and size, plus they have lots of different options that are fun to tryCon's:Wish it came on a tap or an IV, you know we are all thinking it so I will go ahead and say it

This is an excellent, good-tasting coffee. The aroma that's released when you grind the beans is just amazing...not a hint of acrid scent despite the 60% Robusta beans. Brewing generates lots of this crema and a deep, robust coffee. The flavor is very bold but smoothed out perfectly by the 40% Arabica beans. A nice, gentle, smooth after-taste is the perfect finish to a great espresso.I have been a loyal Lavazza customer since I discovered it on a trip to Tuscany. This is my new favorite for espresso. The aromas and flavors are so reminiscent of Italy that it's easy to close my eyes and imagine myself in a little bar in Florence.I think this is as close to a perfect blend and roast of coffee as I've ever had. There is not even the slightest hint of bitterness and the flavor is exceptional. I can drink this all day.

I have to add my little bit. I used to own a coffee shop in South Africa and after testing many brands settled on Lavazza. It is an amazing coffee which gives a good crema, smooth strong but without the huge caffeine kick. There is a saying in the coffee trade that if after having an expresso or cappucino, that you could easily have another one, then it is a good coffee. This is one of them. Obviously if price is not an object you should go for the Lavazza Pienaroma, but to me too expensive for what you get. The only other coffee on the market that could come close is Illy, but they are way too expensive and besides they dob't sell 1kg bags, they do sell 3kg but only to coffee shops,so to hell with them. Stick to Lavazza you wont go wrong!!

For a few years now I have been on a search for a great espresso blend. I've tried $20 lbs specialty blends and $8 lbs at trader Joe's. All were 100% Arabica and most medium roast. I've been able to get a decent creama, but with fairly light tan color, but none had a very full flavor. The Lanazza includes some robusta beans so gave a velvety deeply colored creama and a full flavor profile matching the description. The color and consistency of the creama (clings to the side of the cup) is identical to what you find in Rome. Result is the best cappuccino I've found in the US. All of this for only $11 per pound, Do yourself a favor and give the Gran Espresso a try, what have you got to lose? ..$24 for 2.2 lbs is not much of a gamble

One best brand coffee you can get and since it is not brunt espresso is I it oily like Starbucks most all of lavazza is perfect espresso and the only kinda you can use in bean to cup of automatic espresso machine and grind and brew coffee makers they all recommend that use none oily beans witch means you shouldn't use Starbucks since all there espresso and dark roast are very oily and will break grinders over time and will destroy automatic espresso machine internal parts when I was in England I had some best espresso I ever had too I found lavazza they have tons of different roast as well

Having bought a bean to cup machine I have tried a considerable amount of different types of beans from blends to single origin to find ' the perfect' cup of coffee. So if I'm honest my first choice is the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe but it is quite pricey so as a back up for everyday use is the Lavazza Coffee Grand Espresso. It is versatile enough to make all the types of coffee you love ( cappuccino, latte, , americano etc.) It has a smooth flavour & does not leave a bitter after taste. I would recommend to all coffee lovers.

This is a blend- it creates a good crema, however it has notes of citrus, light caramel, and a little earthy. It is a little different than what I was expecting, but is much lighter in roast (there are multi colored roasting in there, so it is a blend). Id say about 5-10% of a blond roast has been mixed in, probably where that note of citrus is. If you use a hand burr grinder, you will feel the occasional harder bean being ground. In my experience, blond roast beans are much harder to grind than a dark roast.

This coffee is delicious, I have a Breville Cafe Roma espresso machine and it really extracts the flavor well, I drink it straight up in little espresso glasses and find the coffee to be of the best quality.... the best part about it is with subscribe and save it's cheaper than store bought coffee! if you buy lavazza in the store it's one of the most expensive brands.Excellent value for the money and some of the best coffee I have had.

I only use lavazza espresso beans. The taste is superior to any others that I've tried and their beans aren't as oily as many brands, which works best in my automatic espresso machine to prevent damage to the grinding gears. I've been a loyal consumer of the brand for several years. I find that Amazon generally has the best price and quickest shipping. I wouldn't start my day with anything else!

I usually buy locally freshly roasted coffee and bought this as a means to save some money and also to have as a staple coffee. I am very impressed, good crema for something likely to be fairly old. Nice taste and works well with milk, has a flavour that stands out and seems well rounded. I would recommend this highly although still prefer sampling single estates etc. I would buy again.

The Lavazza espresso beans are the best we have ever tried. Every single bag delivers. It is rich and dark and perfect espresso, every morning. The taste is important but consistency also matters. We go through 4-5 2.2 pound bags of Lavazza bags a month. Every single one of those bags has been exactly right. Every single one had the rich and satisfying flavor of Lavazza.

I would simply say that for me the quality, flavor, and value delivered in this product will make me a regular buyer.I've tried plenty of 4 & 5 star rated beans elsewhere, ones which were safe for my super-automatic coffee machine, only to end up disappointed. This is super-automatic safe while still delivering a deep-roasted flavor.

Very good coffee. I was missing good coffee five years! No coffee maker can make that good coffee as I can brew at home by myself. But I needed a good coffee beans for it. My cousin, who used to live in Italy, advised me Lavazza. And she was absolutely right: it's a really good, rich and delicious coffee. Highly recommend for brewing.

We have been drinking the Lavazza Grand Espresso for almost a year now, and although we are trying other brands and roasts, we keep coming back to this one. We like the non-greasy beans (easy to clean up the mill) and the consistency in the taste. Not bold not weak, just right for morning, afternoon or evening.

3.2.2018

The best way to buy coffee, for taste and economically. Lavazza is our preferred coffee without a doubt. We use in our Bialetti Cafetiere but can be used in other coffee brewing devices.Good price, no plastic pods to dispose of, long BBE date, decent coffee (the best) delivered promptly will be buying again.
