Item is really good for my dog, I have a 1 1/2year old Border Collie, and this keeps him busy whilst cleaning his teeth which is really handy! I normally squirt a bit of dog flavored toothpaste in between the gaps for him to lick and chew out! Or a bit of peanut butter which is stickier so more challenging for him to get out and lasts longer. This item doesn't keep my dog as busy for as long as the proper KONGS (that you stuff) or the Goodie Bone does as he can get the stuff out from in-between the gaps really easily with this toy, but it's nice to use to fill with the toothpaste to aid teeth cleaning. Or if I fill it with peanut butter and put it in the freezer it lasts longer! It's pretty durable and hasn't been teeth-marked or damaged so far!In my opinion the hole down the middle that it says you can put treats in to "stuff-it" is too small. It's too small for any real treats to be stuffed down it, and if you put something all the way down it my dog struggles to get them out and then gets bored and leaves it. Which means I have to poke it out with something to clean it. But overall it love KONG toys and would recommend.

Purchased with the intention of filling the gaps with peanut butter and chilling in the freezer before giving to my medium sized dog - Weimaraner.First impressions, seems durable. A flexible medium density rubber. Large size approx 5.5" x 2.5".Have used this approx 7 times now. On inspection, there are small signs of damage - not sure how much longer it will last. When in use, it does really occupy my dog and she does chew at it - so obviously we only let her use it supervised.I don't think it's fantastic, but for the cost, I would likely buy another one as it's difficult to find durable toys that last longer than 1 use!Better if you have a dog that is likely to lick the contents from the toy, rather than chew, otherwise I don't expect it to last too long before splitting.

In the photograph it looks as though the rivets are quite deep. In fact it is very tricky trying to get the paste into them & it leaves a mess everywhere. Having said that, both dogs seem happy enough chewing it without the paste - it seems just the memory of that is enough. It's fun to throw around and I find it is quite tough as they have not broken them yet (I bought two - one small one for the puppy & one large one. Of course they immediately rejected 'their' one and swapped over. However, if I'm going out & need to crate the pup for an hour or so, I carefully squeeze in the paste putting the toy on some kitchen paper first and at least the mess is contained.I would give it 5 stars if it was easier to get the paste in.

Buying again for our Cockapoo after two years plus of daily use. It’s not destroyed, just starting to degrade at the edges and we’re not keen on lots of tiny bits of plastic/rubber going in. Mercifully she isn’t much of a chewer so most of her toys last well compared to those or her more voracious Lab and Lurcher pals. We put half her breakfast in every day. She brings it back to be re-filled. Combined with a verbal command of ‘bring it’s she’s slowly learning a retrieve. No other method has worked! Definitely recommend for similar light chewers!

This is great! Our beagle has a tendency to destroy anything he has to spend too much time getting treats out of but with this we just stick them on the outside with doggy peanut butter or pate and it'll keep him happily entertained. We've had a few kong toys, they're a good choice but like with everything tend not to last more than a month or two. Haven't had this one that long but the quality is up to the standard I expect - if anything changes will update my review. For now it's 5 stars and a happy beagle!

My bull terrier can chew the ends off the black "extreme" kongs, so I was expecting this softer red kong to last 10 minutes. Surprisingly, 8 months later, it's still with us and still one of his favourite toys to carry round and have a chomp on. The ridges are good for peanut butter or liver pate and keep him busy for ages if we have to go out and leave him. Would not hesitate to replace this one if one of the local foxes ever run off with it :-)

Bought this for my Belgian shepherd, he was a little unsure to begin with, but after a few licks of the paste we applied he was soon hooked.Long after the paste has gone he is still carrying the toy around, giving it a good chew, probably in the hopes that the tasty stuff will come back. After giving it a really good chew there are no visible signs of chewing, but given the quality of Kong toys I wasn't expecting there to be any.

We received this just a couple of days ago and it has already become our Border Collie's favourite toy - especially when filled with poultry flavoured dog toothpaste! He's enjoying throwing and catching it, but also spends time chewing it, allowing the 'bristles' to clean his teeth - which is much, MUCH easier than trying to brush them!!!I highly recommend this item to other dog owners whose four-legged pals have plaque problems.

My dogs look forward their Kongs stuffed with dry bits of food, an easy and effective way of keeping them occupied for some time. Both have good teeth too, which is certainly a bonus. They are not indestructible though, and a visiting golden retriever reduced one to fine pieces in no time. Even with regular, careful use, the rubber does perish quite quickly and bits of biscuit trapped in the grooves can be tricky to get out.

Got this for my 7mth labrador. She is a heavy chewer and loves chewing, so not many items last. She enjoys the kong dental stick and it is surprisely lasting. She has chewed a bit off at the tips of the kong (see attached photo) but as small bits not worried. It is a great chewing item for dogs, so really glad that I did but it.

I have 2, one for each dog, they love them. Large enough for medium sized dogsto play tug of war with they thoroughly enjoy just chewing. I brush their teeth regularly but theylike the toothpastte that much that if I spead some on these they will be almost euphoric chewing for a good long time, excellent investment.

Our dog has lots of allergies, so we're not able to give her dental chews etc. This has really helped to get rid of some of the plaque from her teeth as they were getting quite bad. She has nibbled on the ends of the chew, and it is rubbery rather that rigid, but overall we're very happy with the purchase.

Kong toys are definitely worth every penny. My one year old Lab loves this though her chewing has managed to naw a few tiny wee bits off, lasts better than regular hard rubber dog toys. I got the tougher black Kong bone too which so far has withstood the test of time and teeth, not a mark on it.

A great alternative to the traditional long. We have a very strong chewer and this has held up without any wear for 6+ months whereas many toys (including other kong brand toys) haven't survived the first day. We rarely use it for treats but mainly for chewing and chasing. It's been great!

So far my dogs have had this toy for nearly a week and it still exists in full. My one dog, a Yorkie, turns Rottweiler with hew toys and has destroyed so many 'indestructible' ones I couldn't count. This one is still in one piece and they both love it. It was a good deal too.
