This tool build quality is amazing. I've used the side-access crimper more than the front-access one. When working on an engine bay without much space your only choice is to use the side of the pliers to get access to the oetker clamp. Definitely get this tool rather than another one with only the front-crimping. Very good design by Knipex and this tool is very well built. It will not bend even if you lean on it to get a good crimp. I am very satisfied! The price was high but you really do get what you paid for. The first and last Oetker clamp crimper that i'll ever need.

This tool has a feeling of top notch quality. Feels like it will last a lifetime.Used it once to replace a dishwasher circulation pump. Crimping an ear clamp was as easy as cutting warm butter. The result is a neatly crimped clamp that looks like those done in the factory.VERY satisfied with this product. I will now buy ear clamps of different sizes to use them elsewhere (garden hoses for example).

If you've ever had to crimp an ear type clamp from the side instead of being able to in an open space, you've known the pain of the frustration it brings. The knipex ear clamp plier allows you to crimp clamps with the side of the jaws or the end, meaning you can get to those stubborn access clamps that honestly have no business being so awkward.

so easy to use and you know it will last with the knipex name. so much easier than side cutters

Like all Knipex tools - this is perfect! It's as good as it gets for crimping tube clamps.
