My tv is just a tad less thick than the 3cm minimum and tapers thinner towards the edge. So the stand would just sit on top without any grip. Since the product comes with two backing clamps, a short one and a long one and both had spongy pads on them. I ripped off the pads from the smaller clamp and stuck it on top of the pads of the bigger clamp used that. The product does come with extra spongy pads but quite a stingy amount. Using all these together I was able to get a reasonable grip on the edge of the tv.Overall, this product is well designed and constructed but it needs to be improved to suit ever thinner tvs. You can make it work better if you have some adhesive spongy pads yourself.

After reading the other reviews I thought hey why not - It turns out that it fitted our 40 inch Sony Bravia perfectly.A little self assembly - but if you can't handle that you shouldn't be using games consoles either! ;-)Comes with the screwdriver and does exactly as described.
