If you're not familiar with Jewel quest, there are 3 game types that you get to play within the main game. First, you are given a complicated picture that you have to scroll around looking for a list of objects. Some of these objects can be a bit obscure. For example do you know what an ankh looks like? Or a railroader's spike? And what does "fins" mean? These are the ones where you need to use up one of your hints. Then you have a puzzle where you have to fit blocks of overlapping colour into a board to turn it all gold, and then there is a three in a row board where you have to eliminate a jewel from each and every square of the board, which is often a rather awkward shape! All these are against the clock and the game will only save and advance if you get all of them completed within the allotted time. It's a very absorbing game. My only criticism is that the DSi screen resolution is not brilliant and very small, so the search element of the game can be quite tough on the eyes. Oh, and some of the objects are called by their American names, such as "flashlight" rather than "torch", but you soon get used to that. All in all, a very addictive time waster!

I am really enjoying this game. It is so addictive. It isn't exactly taxing on the old brain cells, but it is a great way to spend a few hours. The graphics are good and the objects are mostly easy to find, although I did have to use the clues for some as I had no idea what the item even looked like. Obviously the more you play it the more you know where everything is!The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because it has a habit of jamming on the jewel quest board, but I have found if I re-start that level it usually works ok the second time - it's just rather annoying.

This is a great game - and great value the 2 for one... Yes the scenes are repeatative, and some of the puzzles are simple - but some are not, but over all I have found this to be one of the best games I have bought recently, it combines matching jewels, hidden objcets (with only hints that have been earn't available), and puzzle squares - all with reduced time limits - Other game is just finding hidden objects with alittle twist, you have to find the objects based on silouettes, or multiple same items and normal lists. Overall great play value for the money.

I enjoy hidden item games. Yes they are repetitive but I don't mind that. I like that this game has added a few puzzles to the hidden object format, and the jewel puzzle element, it works well. However I found this game a bit short and unlike most hidden object games you can't unlock the levels to play afterwards. You have to just work through the game again. I enjoyed it, but I feel a few small changes would have made it much better value and given more replay potential.

The last reviewer made a mistake in assuming this was in the Jewel Quest 'shoot em down' range. This is more of a mystery game (Cate West etc) and so far, although not completed, it's enjoyable. Graphics not as fine as Cate West, but still good. I want to give this 5 stars - and it may well be worth it in the end- but mainly to give this game a fairer average score. It's NOT 'rubbish', just not what the last reviewer thought he was buying. Caveat Emptor, as they say!

IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING TO PLAY THIS GAME. IF YOU DON'T REACH THE LEVEL IN THE TIME ALLOTED, THEN YOU HAVE TO GO RIGHT BACK TO THE BEGINNING AND DO ALL THE GAMES AGAIN UNTIL YOU REACH THE 'END' LEVEL. ONCE YOU HAVE BEATEN THIS END GAME YOU ARE ALLOWED TO MOVE ON. SO, VERY FRUSTRATING IN ITS REPETITION. BY THE END OF IT THOUGH YOU KNOW JUST WHERE TO FIND THE ITEMS YOU NEED IN EACH GAME!!!! DO NOT PLAY IF YOU ARE EASILY ANNOYED!!!

This is a great value game, the hidden object game is really absorbing and i could not put it down. It is not one of those games that takes a few hours to complete but takes a lot longer. Once you have finished the jewel quest game there is another hidden object game, thats what makes it such good value, two games for the price of one!! If you are after a game that really is a challenge and absorbing this is the one for you.

Having been disappointed by Titanic Mystery, it's taken me a while to ease myself back into hidden object games on the DS, so this was a bit of a leap of faith. And what a leap it turned out to be - stunning graphics, great gameplay mechanic (though the match-three is more of a side-game), which both make up for the iffy storyline, which is the only thing that stops it being a five star. Well done iWin!

This game is made up of 2 different tasks, find and seek and match 3. Although the same scenes are used quite often throughout the game I still found it entertaining and addictive although the game itself can be glitchy resulting in it freezing on the match 3 puzzles, this can be resolved by skipping the offending puzzles. Overall though a very good game.

This game is very enjoyable and addictive. The only reason it has not got 5 stars is that as you get into the game it locks up on you. When you get to the part of placing 3 jewlles in a row it just freezes and you have to turn the ds off and start again. A friend also has this problem with hers very annoying and frustrating.

If you enjoy hidden objects games you'll love this. By far the best hidden object game i've played. It's a must buy and you won't be dissapointed. My only criticism is that a few objects do not look like what they are supposed to be and you need to use a hint, otherwise I would definately have given this a 5 star.

I bought this game for a friend. She said it was the best 1 she had played for ages.As she is an avid DS player but hasnt played this type of game before i thought she might not be able to get to grips with it.The graphics are good and the game is interesting would buy another of this type

This game is brilliant. There are 2 sections you can play. The first section you are trying to solve a crime and you are hunting for objects. The second section is mixed with finding objects hidden and also having to solve puzzles. Brilliant fun and you loose track of the time!

I really like this game. Some of the hidden objects are not so easy to find. There are also puzzles to solve on every level, and of course the ''match 3'' jewel sequences. Surprisingly good and VERY addictive.

this was one of the better ones of this type of game and I enjoyed it. My 8 year old daughter also liked doing the spotting but got confused about what some of the items actually were!
