Having owned this game for about 6 months now (and owning the PC version), the fact that I am still playing it is very surprising - usually I'd having finished it or got so irritated with it I would have traded it in! It is your classis match 3 - the other reviewers are correct in saying the storyline is laughable, it's just a poor attempt to try and link the jewelboards.Effectively the boards change shape slightly every time you move a level, and you play the same levels repeatedly, but with a higher difficulty setting as you progess through another 'chapter' in the story. Sounds very boring, but it is addictive!! The plus point is it's an easy game to put down when you get bored or frustrated, and then pick up a few days or even weeks later to try again. I will plug at it unitl I'm finished it, and it will propably stay in my collection as it does have a lot of replay value.

I too am someone who has played this on the pc and added the ds version.as other reviews say the game is very simple and straightforward - you match jewels and change the colour of the grid squares, when all the squares are gold you've completed that level.Sound easy and boring? Just the opposite! Some of the levels are sooooo frustrating and devour your lives, as for boring, the fact that such a simple game can prove so difficult means that you may get irritated at your failure but never bored. There is one function that it retains from the pc version (thankfully!) when your lives have all been lost you can restart at the level you've reached and don't have to start from scratch - unless youwant to of course. This is a strangely addictive game and you will be amazed how much time has passed while you battle the jems.

This game is the most addictive I've played in a long time. My housework is going to pot!! "Just one more level" as all I can hear myself saying! You have to line up 3 matching colours to clear that space, doesn't sound very exciting but once you've started you feel compelled to finish that level. The levels start of fairly easy, to lull you into a false sense of intellect. Then you get the toughies. Once you can clear the easier ones you then need to clear the spaces twice in one go. With added obstacles like the 'warrior' which if you get 3 of these in a row those spaces have to be re-done.There are a few different versions of this game. But this is by far the BEST.

So much has already been written about this, but I wanted to add my two pence worth! The gameplay is very simple so anyone of just about any age can play. However, the gameplay is very tactical so it suits slightly older children up to adults such as myself. Very young children may be bored by it as there's not much by way of animation or voice acting. If you want to kill 15 minutes, you'd be hard pressed to find a better diversion. More fun than say Dr Kawashima, but I personally didn't find it as addicting as some games. It was [and still continues to be] great fun though.

I got this game as I was getting into bejewelled and found the whole game idea totally addictive! i got this and cant put it down !!! it is totally addictive ! you get 4 lives but if you dont complete the level you can exchange a life to get you to the next one so you always have 3 lives, but that does mean that you have to do the same game 3 or 4 times which gets a bit annoying. The only thing i will say is that you dont seem to get enough time on each level and as they get harder you would think that you wuld get more time !! saying that i really do reccomend it to anyone.

Enjoyed this game, very addictive but a bit disappointing after playing it on the PC! The games do tend to be a bit repetitive but still good fun. Big disappointment was the way it finishes! It doesnt tell you that you have completed it, I was waiting to move on to what I thought was the next level & the credits started to roll so I went back & did the last level again in case I had made a mistake, but no! That was it! (Unless anyone can tell me different???)

Found this item very addictive working through the search for jewels. Our visiting daughter tried it and it immediately became her "I must have item " (She now does!!!) The Professor Layton "Curious Village" is also very good including several puzzles in the story - so much so we have now bought "Professor Layton and Pandoras box". However not started that one yet - the neglected house is in need of a dusting!!!

This game has stayed in my DS since I received it. It is the most agravating game I have come accross yet. Just when you think you have completed a level, the time runs out!!!! Once I pick it up, I cannot put it down as I won't be beaten!! A good game.... only one criticism - the dialogue in between each level is a pain so I just skip over the reading bit to get to the jewel quest bit.

This is one of my favourtie games can sit for hours on end playing this and never get bored of it. Sort of the same as solitaire taking the cards from the pile and using the deck try matching up from king to queen , jack etc all the way to ace card or other way around or depending on what card you turn try to get as many cards out as you can, good game.

Highly addictive game which I am now on 5th time round. Love this game! Time flies I have been up until small hours just playing this. Very addictive just as good as diner dash which was also highly addictive. I just wish it was never ending levels. I have finished it with 10 lives left & 85 coins! You just want to go on & on & on. Very good buy

I had no idea what I was letting myself in for when I bought this!! It's basically three in a row but with a few twists. It starts off harmlessly enough and then it gets harder. You think youv'e got it and you haven't. I sit for hours (literally) trying to beat the time and so far I have failed. My husband loves it 'cos it keeps me quiet!!

Once you start playing you get hooked and don't want to stop. There are five stories and lots of different levels to work through for each story and the jewel boards are very addictive, if you run out of time you just have to try it again. Once you've completed every level there's not much else to do but pass it on to someone else.

I have literaly spent hours with this game, it's so addictive. It starts off quite easy but has lots of different levels, some of them are really challenging. There is a story that goes along with it but I just skip that and get straight into the game. Would definately recommend this for children and adults alike.

This is a super game that is keeping me entertained. At each level you want to achieve the puzzle board so you can move on. The only critism I would have is that once you have lost all your lives you lose your points as well which means you start again at zero. Apart from that I am enjoying the game hugely

Bought this for my husband when I bought him a Nintendo DS for his birthday. Had to start hiding the game because he was becoming addicted to it and playing it all the time. He would play it for hours. So be warned, if you don't want to become addicted, don't buy it or else set a time limit on it.
