This tank was my first 1:35 armoured vehicle build that I undertook some 7 years ago now. As memory serves there were no major problems you have to overcome in the construction. All the parts fit well, the suspension is well made and can be built up to be moveable which comes in great for placing her on a diorama with rough terrain that allows the tracks to bend and the wheels to move. The fit of the parts is good, an little sanding here and there but not much need for filler, good detail on the hull and turret give a nice visual touch. The plastic is a little thinner than a chunky Tamiya but that's not a problem. The gun is movable as is the turret and hatches can be modelled open or closed. The things that need attention are as follows. The turret ring has too tabs that slot into two cut outs on top of the tank, these lock the turret down and also allow the turret to swivel. These tabs are a tight fit and need to be sanded on the inside edge to loosen the stiffness and allow free movement. The tracks are ok, but would be better replaced with after market replacement ones. When the tracks are in place, be sure the very front suspension wheel is not pulled upwards buy the track tension, it may be best to glue all of the movable parts in the first wheel set at the front of the tracks during building so as to prevent this movement. I added various items from accessory sets to decorate the the tank and that adds a great level of detail. My advice is that this kit would be great for beginners and experienced builders, give it a go its a great little kit.

This Italeri kit is getting on a bit (dating from the early 1980s I think) but it's still a crisp moulding with a reasonable level of detail. The problem is the vinyl tracks, which are far too thick and springy to be remotely realistic. You can buy 'aftermarket' hard plastic tracks to replace them, which would cost about a tenner, but I think is worth it.

I went for the cheapest option of this model as I intend to make it look burned out but was suprised by quality , build and detail , almost sorry to destroy it. Great little model
