I'd read some poor reviews (not on here) and this put me off buying this game for a while but I read the previous positive review on here and as we had played the previous Ice Age game and really enjoyed it I decided to give it a go so bought it for Christmas for my 7 year old.You can play as Manny, Scrat, Diego and Sid and the levels are really enjoyable with 'checkpoints' frequently so that if you do get killed there is only a very small portion of the game that you have to repeat again which my son is particularly happy about.The graphics are very clear and crisp and the dinosaurs looks great and are great fun to fight and you get the opportunity to ride on them sometimes which is good fun.

This is a fantastic kids game, if not the best on PS3 bar the LEGO series. Me and my son (aged 5) simply loved this game. The graphics are great in HD and the controls are relatively easy (they usually come up on screen). The pathed story mode is strong and the levels are varied - playing as several movie characters (clearing, running, jumping and fighting throughout). You can control Scrat, Diego, Sid and Manny. The multiplayer mini-games are fun but the challenges you unlock are hard but a nice bonus. Kids who love the film will also love this game undoubtedly. So, overall this is a fun and quality movie-tie in 'kids' game that does all it should and more.

I took my 4.5 year old to see this at the cinema and the rental game arrived soon after. It is just fantastic. Absolutely gorgeous to look at and really like the movie visually. Fantastic intuitive controls and really easy to pick up. Very funny and good progression and nice stories. one of the best games for small children we have tried. So very different from previous Ice Age games on wii which were pretty dire.We sent it back only when we had bought our own copy.Ps one tip... you don't save your game yourself as you go along and it was worrying turning it off and wondering what was going on.

Bought this for my 4 year old as he loves the ICE AGE movies. It does say for 7yrs so maybe it is a little advanced for him. He does however play it regularly and finds it stimulating and fun. He has has little or no help with regard to how to play but he has been able to work it out for himself even with limited reading ability. (He is only 4). I have not played it myself so cannot comment on it personally. My husband enjoys playing some of the games so I suppose it appeals to a spectrum of people. I would recommend to a regular game user.

Purchased this for our five year old as he loved Buck the weasel in the film. The game certainly fits the bill in that respect as a generous amount of the later game play features Buck. You get to play mainly as Sid in the earlier levels with some other characters thrown in. Overall the game is good fun (our son certainly likes it and so does his dad!) but the serious gamers may find it doesn't hold their attention for too long.

Great game play not too hard and checkpoints are regular. So no annoying repeat of levels due to one mistake. Pretty easy. The minigames are great for two players, really good fun and very competitive.I think it was well worth the money :)The characters are good fun and storyline is sweet.You play as buck for the most part which is a little disappointing as i love sid, but buck is fun to play as, as he has a lassoo.

My son is 4 1/2 and he loves this game, as do I. What's amazing to me is how this game can transcend generations, and be as much fun for a kid as it is for an adult. Even my wife (who is anything but a gamer!) enjoys the multi-player mode. Its clever, its humorous and colourful, I wish there were more games like it!

This game has amazing graphics and the levels are really fun as you get to play the various characters in ice age 3. I loved playing Buck the most because he can do different actions. I recommend everyone that you buy this game because I have finished all the levels but I still play it everyday!

We bought this in the Wii version years ago and I think it's still one of the best challenging games for kicks. Varying challenges to collect the crystals which you can play individually again once each challenge mastered. Got all the favourite characters in it too. Excellent!

My son had this 4xmas and due to recieving lots of DS games hasnt palyed it that often though it seems he does like it but may find it fairly difficult again though saying that my son is 4years old and the game does state 7+ so i get to play it instead :)

My 9 year old granddaughter finished this game fairly quickly but enjoyed it and still plays it when my 4 year old grandson is on it. My Grandson loves it as he likes to watch bits of the film and he can play it on his own without too much trouble.

Well what can't I say about this fab film, the first 2 where amazing and this one tops them all, had a really good laugh, I know it is a kids video but I bought it for myself and love it!

Great game so far, my son loves it, and the graphics are great. We just can't jump on the rhinos despite pressing the right button. Can't seem to find the way to do this. Anyone know?

THIS GAME BEST EVER GRANDKIDS KEEK TELLING ME BEST GAME BOUGHT AS A PRESENT . THE CANT GET ENOUGH OF THIS GAME AND GRAPHICS ARE GREAT TOO. I CAN RECOMEND THIS GAM FOR ALL AGES

Bought this for my 3 year old Grandson however muct too difficult even though he is good with computer games. His 6 year old brother loves it and has played with it endlessly
