I think this Cloud Flight S headset is an excellent bit of kit and the perfect accessory for gaming. It comes delivered in a nicely presented retail box and with the headset you get a detachable microphone, wireless USB Type A receiver, micro USB charge cable, and the instructions. No protective storage pouch though which is a shame, especially as wireless products tend to be more portable so a travel pouch would have been nice for this price point. The headset looks very stylish and you can definitely see and tell it’s a premium product. The materials used are high-quality and the headset feels very durable and well-constructed. All the buttons have a quality feel to them when pushed, especially the soft-touch ones of the left side ear pad, they feel sublime to press. The volume wheel has the perfect resistance and smooth operation to it. I’m disappointed that the Hyper X logos on either side don’t light up, I feel this was a missed opportunity and it would have looked cool. Its comfortable to wear for long periods of time and the cushioning on the ear pads and head band are excellent. I love the rotating earcups which really help with comfort when you’ve got them round your neck and the twist ball bearing mechanism feels quality. The passive noise cancellation ability of these headphones is great, and they do a very good job of blocking out external noise, so much so that you can barely hear your own voice. When the microphone is attached though you can hear yourself with no delay which helps to alleviate this and stops you shouting too loud.Sound quality in games is excellent and you can really hear all the details. There’s no distortion and all ranges of sound from highs to lows come through nice and clear. Playing BF5 and MW on PC with these is a great experience and they can really help give you a competitive edge, especially if you fine tune the sound options in-game. Unfortunately, there is one thing which really bugs me with this headset and that’s the volume, I wish they would be a bit louder. In games its not such a big deal, especially if like CoD, you can increase the range to make them louder, but when your watching videos or listening to music they just aren’t as loud as my wired headphones. I’m sure they are software limited but id like the volume to be a bit higher. The virtual 7.1 mode doesn’t make the surround sound any better but it does lift the volume and increase the pitch of everything so you can hear footsteps and bullets better, etc. It’s a cool feature but I just found everything to be too high pitch in games and in my opinion is unusable in anything other than fps games. For example, playing GTA 5, if you listen to the radio in 7.1 mode the songs are completely drowned out in favour of the high pitch sound effects in-game so you can barely make out what song is playing. The volume is a fair bit louder in 7.1 mode, but this may be due to the lack of bass as it restricts the loudness to avoid distorting when in normal mode. The microphone works great, no problems with this and my friends could hear me perfectly clear on both Steam and Discord. It feels good quality, you can easily bend it into any position you want, and it can be removed if you not using it. If you set one of the four soft-touch buttons on the ear pad as mute, the microphone with light up when its muted, nice little touch there.Battery life seems pretty fantastic so far. I’ve used them for 8 hours and 20 minutes in total on 100% volume the whole time and the remaining battery life is still at 74%. The wireless charging is a neat feature and the headset sits comfortably on a charge pad (not included) without needed to be supported by anything. I’m not sure why Kingston chose to use a micro USB charge port instead of a Type C, seems a bit old fashioned now and in my opinion is one of the weaker types of ports.I’m not a fan of the Ngenuity software on PC that requires you to use the Windows Store version with this headset. It’s very basic, it doesn’t show you changes to firmware (which I’ve had two so far), and most importantly you can’t minimise it to the bottom-right notification area so if you want it left open it just sits there on your taskbar. I tried the .exe version and it won’t connect to the Cloud Flight S forcing you to use the app store. If you want the headset to work properly, update and be able to customise the buttons, then you need this software installed.Overall, I feel this is very decent gaming headset that just requires a few tweaks to make it perfect. For a wireless headset, its excellent and if this is what your looking for then I highly recommend them. I haven’t had any connection issues with them, and they work perfectly every time. I will always favour wired headphones, but I can appreciate just how good these are and the high build quality of them. They get a thumbs up from me and I feel four stars is appropriate for them.

Love the concept absolutely stunning design, only problem I had was all these YouTubers boasting up the quality of the headphones when you plug them in they connect flawlessly with windows 10 but when it comes to quality it's muddy, bass has no 'punch' and sounds watered down and I was very disappointed, at least with a a flat EQ I downloadedEqualiser APOWorked like a charm just click hyper x cloud flight s game audio and click installEvery since I sorted my EQ out nice curve on the bassLifted the tops up a little and lowered the mids a littleHonestly beautiful sounds better than my Sol Republic studio quality headphonesIf your considering buying these everything that is advertised is true sono complaints but all the videos on YouTube saying that they are good sounding out the box is a lieP.S 7.1 button is just a marketing manuvere as soon as its on its slightly more precise but not really noticeable at the price of audio quality as it's virtual 7.1Basically 7.1 makes them sound garbage like a loudspeaker on a phone callThe software to reprogram the buttons has to be open at all times if you want to use the buttons you have remapped closing the software from you taskbar will reset them back to default config until you reopen and it cannot be a background process it has to be a minimized windowOverall great headphones charges fast on a 10w Anker PowerpadSummary: deep bass down to 10hz (sub-bass of human ear) but needs a equaliser to give it the oomph it needs7.1 is a useless gimmick will never turn it on for the trade off on quality (stereo surround is built into games anyway)Wireless connection is flawless I can go for a smoke in the back garden and still be in discord with my mates 10m away throught brick wall2.4ghz is 10x better than bluetooth so connectivity is not an issue with theseIf you want these for gaming only then they are a go to pair but if you want music consider downloading Equaliser APO as you install and setup once and it doesn't even load up on startup it's just "buried into the headsets driver" is the best way I can explain it so it's seamless once setup9/10

Although this is a gaming headset it's really not what I bought it for. The wireless charging won me over, Already having a phone and tablet and various wireless charging pads when my Corsair H70 headset stopped charging I thought why not, one less cable cluttering up the place. It's rather an expensive headset certainly compared to my Corsair H70 which was about half the price.I primarily use the headset for work making Teams calls and listening to music, I do play games occasionally but wasn't particularly in need of surround sound and so haven't tested this. What I can say though is the sound quality for listening to music superb, the clarity is excellent, the bass is good and separation spot on.I don't understand the review saying these don't go loud I can only assume that person has hearing difficulties, I'm sat listening to Wonderwall as I type this with the volume set at 6 of 100 and it's a nice comfortable level for me, I can't imaging a scenario when I would want to crank this up to 100 unless I decided I no longer needed eardrums.Lack of up to date USB C connection is a little disappointing but I don't ever plan on charging these with a cable anyway and not sure why you would either if you are paying £150 for a headset with wireless charging and with a 30 hour battery life running out of power shouldn't be an issue. Similarly don't understand the criticism of lack of a 3.5mm jack on a wireless headset, I've never owned a wireless headset with one nor would I want one. Some reviews are critical of the microphone, but it works fine for me, call quality has been good so far and having tested recording and playback I have no complaints, I won't be using it to record my next album, but then that's not what this headset is for.The headset looks and feels good quality, and it's light enough and comfortable to wear. The only slight criticism I have of this headset is coming from the H70 it doesn't feel as robust, the H70 had metal arms and headband core whereas the Hyper X is all plastic, it's not flimsy but I can see the swiveling ear pieces being a potential weak point.

After using the HyperX Stinger headset, I was looking forward to giving this one a try as it looked much better. What you'll notice when you first open the box is - this is not like your typical headset. The first thing you'll notice is that the way it connects to your console is through the USB receiver. There is no Bluetooth capability nor is there an option to turn this into a wired headset. It comes with a detachable microphone which is flexible. According to my friends, my voice sounds clear when using this so that's a win.To connect this to your console, plug in the USB receiver - it will start to blink. Press the power button on the headset and once both the LED's on the receiver and the headset are solid,it means that it is connected. For someone with a PS4, head to the Audio Device settings and select the headset as both the input and output device and away you go.This has controls on the side of the earcup which if using the NGenuity app on PC. They can be customised to those who don't like the defaults. The NGenuity app can be used to change the RGB lighting and much more so worth the download there.Quality is decent, not the best but not the worst. It was somewhat quiet before turning on the 7.1 surround sound. Even with a better volume output, I don't think the quality was as good as the Stinger.Comfort wise, definitely much more comfortable than the Stinger. It looks less chunky and the earcups can rotate which is better to keep around the neck.Battery life is good, it'll last a fair bit of time but for those gamers who play hours upon hours, this will need recharging pretty soon. It charges through the micro-USB port (cable is provided and a decent length). All in all, it looks good and the microphone quality is great. Only let down is the initial sound quality without the 7.1 surround sound - I feel that there are plenty of lower value headsets that can easily give this a run for the money in sound. If this was helpful, please tap that helpful button below - Cheers!

These are really comfortable to wear for extended use, whether listening to music or playing games. The adjustable cushioned headband holds the headset in place, even when the game gets serious. Overall the set has a high quality build, with no annoying squeaks or cracking when wearing or moving them. When the mic is installed, it stays in place and doesn’t rattle in use, unlike some detachable ones. If you aren’t a gamer, they are good enough to buy just for listening to music. The audio has great depth and clarity with both an Xbox and listening to Spotify on an iPhone. Online players have confirmed how good the microphone is.Based on one test, battery life is about 25 hours – not quite the 30 hours quoted, but still pretty good. The Qi charging base is a great way to store headphones when not in use and keep them topped up after a full evenings play – no wires to plug in or trip over.I haven’t bothered to install the software, as I’m more than happy with the headphones as they are and I can’t really be bothered. Another feature wasted on me is the rotating cups, but they don’t impede me either; I concede that some people may welcome them. The noise cancellation is passable, achieved mainly by the cushioned earpieces – I’m not aware of any specific functionality for this.If you’re bothered about appearances, the design’s not very exciting – old without being fashionably retro, if you get my drift.

This is a high quality gaming headset with USB dongle for wireless connection to a PC or PS4. It is one of 4 HyperX headset variants available, distinguisable by intended use and components e.g. keyboard, mouse, bluetooth, wired connections. This model boasts a long-lasting battery life via a 5v USB charging lead (supplied) and capability for Q1 wireless charging (sold separately). It has a master on/off button, a wheeled volume control, switchable 7.1 surround sound, four left earpad soft buttons to control microphone monitoring, mic on/off status and adjustable mix of game/chat balance and a detachable bendable stalk microphone with an inclusive red LED mute indicator. The headset is comfortable, and the 90 degree rotation of earpads is welcome. The audio quality is excellent and the volume very controllable. The 7.1 surround sound quality was particularly impressive. Audio/video sync using Youtube seemed fine.Windows 10 provides access to adjustable settings for the HyperX microphone and speakers independent of the headset controls. Although some reviewers have criticised the maximum volume achievable with this headset I found no limitation in the available range.Free online HyperX NGENUITY software for Windows 10 /Xbox One is available to customize EQ profiles, check battery status and reprogramme earpad buttons.

So I upgraded from a HyperX Cloud Revolver to these (after upgrading from my HyperX Cloud II's, notice a trend) and they absolutely do not disappoint! My main concern with any form of headset or headphones is comfort and these are perfect for me. I was a little concerned when I unboxed them that the ear cups looked smaller than what I was used to but they give me a really good snug fit which I can wear for hours with no issues.Sound quality is fantastic, if a little quieter than anything I've used previously, and I've noticed absolutely no delay between visuals and sound.Set up was a breeze, it was literally plug and play, and they headset came with about 80% charge. As you would expect the wireless charging is a fantastic feature, not only do you have one less wire with using a wireless headset, but then to not have to mess around with a wire to charge it is great. You can get the proprietary charging mat which will charge 2 devices (and is not badly priced actually), but I went with an Anker Qi charging mat which works perfectly. The software that is used to remap the side buttons works, it is a little clunky but it is in Beta at the moment so will hopefully get better. If you are looking for a wireless headset at this price point I don't actually think you can do any better.

I have to be clear I don't really play many online games as I have always found the whole talking to other people think a bit weird. I decided to give this hyper X headset ago as it seemed to be incredible quality and it was too good to miss. Using it in conjunction with my PS4 it connected easily and the quality was evident immediately the volume can go from quiet to earthshattering loud and the quality of the audio even over Bluetooth is fantastic. I set up a multiplayer game with my nephew to try and gauge the quality of the microphone and he said it sounded incredible and very clear in comparison to a lot of his friends although I hadn't mentioned to him that the purpose of this research I have the headset so it goes to show how crisp and clear this really is.The headset itself is rechargeable via a normal QI wireless charging pad and you just rest the head phone on its side. The audio is also excellent if you want to connect to your smart phone or other Bluetooth enabled device to listen to music.

Amazing sound quality, build quality and features. Very durable and very comfortable with very soft and cozy pads. Easily charge with your wireless charger or with included usb lead. Removable microphone with a nice LED light. Soft buttons on the side for changing mic and volume which can be customised to what you want with software.Plug and play with dongle makes it very easy to connect. To PC or PS4. Sound is nice and balanced and it’s so good to game without the wires getting in the way. Great battery life with battery lasting 30 hours.I like how they twist so they don’t get in the way when you take them off and place them around your neck.No 3.5 headphone jack so no xBox support but definitely recommend.

Extremely comfrotable headphones, I have worn them for 3+ hours at a time with no discomfort. The audio quality is pretty good for the price and the 7.1 surround feature definitely adds to the gaming experience. It's worth switching off the effect when listening to conventional music though as it sounds more artificial. The dedicated button on the headphones for 7.1 is really useful and the various button mapping options are good too. I have had no issues using the Ngenuity software to program these. I have also had no complaints for the microphone quality so overall a great pair of headphones.

at first i had problems with the headset because of setting it up not properly. after fixing it, its an amazing headset. sound quality is good for a wireless headset. positional awareness is ogood. you can clearly hear distinct footsteps or soundcues which are important in FPS. battery life is great. dont need to charge everyday. the wireless charging capability is also great and convinient. mic quality is not good tho. might suggest getting a modmic wireless which i did or use a external mic but if you dont want its ok. dont use 7.1 surround tho. its not natural. stereo the best

I don’t know why people are complaining about the loudness. I can only have them between 20-30 % before being deafened. Range is amazing. I don’t lose connection on any of my 3 floors. Battery amazing, 3 days us and still got plenty of battery. Sound is great but the 7.1 is useless. Stereo very good.Con, and I might send them back because it is a big one. I can hear static and crackling all the time. Tried everything. I work in IT and I can’t fix it. Read it’s common with these. It’s very annoying! Thanks to Amazon 30 day money back guarantee.

I use headsets to wear all day at work for customer calls, and then at home for gaming and videos. I wanted wireless as I have broken so many USB ports with snagging cables.I bought the HyperX after buying two Corsair wireless headsets. I'm so happy with this headset, it's the only headset that I've truly never lost wireless signal to. The battery lasts ages, if I spend all day on calls for work, and then gaming until late, the headset will have around 70% battery power remaining. My Corsair headsets would have ran out long before then.

Comfy.Sound good, great with some tuning.Battery life is great.Wireless charging is a lifesaver if you hate fiddling with wires and you have one for your phone already.Programmable buttons are great to have.Mic is clean and removable :DTactile buttons are nice, although the 7.1 surround sound button is useless I doubt you'll like it.Used to hate having headphones on for big gaming sessions with my old Steelseries Siberia 650's, now I forget they are even there.<3

At first I thought the sound quality was terrible. However... after reading another review on here I followed the advice and installed Equalizer APO and followed the steps they suggested, (not sure if there's a solution for PS4?) they now sound amazing! I'm not sure why HyperX didn't factory calibrate them like this?7.1 is still good for games. A Plague Tail for example really benefits. But as suggested elsewhere, it's not great for music.
