Why have I rated these amazing headphones at 4 stars only ?Because they didn't last very long...When I first got my hands on them, I could feel the quality of materials and top notch professional simplistic design to them, I was very impressed.Sound quality ? Oh my god, I never heard any other headphones that sounds better than these ones, the bass is deep and pure quality, the sound tones, frequencies and everything is perfectly balanced and blasted through those huge drivers the headset packs. Astonishing overall, highly accurate in terms of gaming sound spacing, I could easily tell where my enemies are coming from or fighting at.I was mostly impressed when I played War Thunder, and boy oh boy,my win rate ratio just went high than never before, just because of the simple fact I could hear the other tanks engines and cannons very accuately, I knew exactly where they are purely based on audio. The music... just wtf, I was simply blown away, nothing more, nothing less. Perfect. Now the bad news; I bought them on 20 December 2019, they broke down on 19 January 2020.Suddenly the left phone started to have buzzing noise, static and very disturbing sounds, when I played music on medium volume the speaker would not work, then when volume was raised it started to play the music but the sound was very weak and the static and buzzing sound amplified even worse. There was nothing I could have done, I tried to turn them off, unplug them and even when I took out the usb cable , the headset has battery for some unknown reason, the buzzing was still there.Whenever I touched the left earpiece the noises were changing or altering, that was very likely a loose wire or something, nothing major and easily fixable, but I am no expert in this nor was I thinking of giving to some repair shop or something. After all that I decided to return the item and get a refund... Even now I am sad and I can no longer enjoy the sound of other headphones as most of them stand no chance when considering the sound quality Orbit delivers. To finish this in a more happily manner , I will absolutely buy them again, exactly the same, but with hope for a better life span.

Edit: Ended up having to replace my first pair as they would randomly turn themselves off when in use. Hopefully just a buggy set and not a global issue.I have had a few HyperX headsets in my life. While they do sound quite good, they generally do not hold a candle to something like a set of Beyerdynamics, and so I’ve always ended up getting rid of them.I took a chance on the Cloud Orbit as I saw that it was essentially a cheaper Audeze Mobius, and I am very glad I did.The bass reproduction on these is the best I have ever heard on a pair of headphones. Even headphones like the DT 1770’s and Fidelio X2HR’s are not even close in this regard. I had always heard Planar Magnetics did bass best, but I had never really found a pair that appealed to me until now.In terms of 3D functionality. Wow. Probably the first time I’ve actually left 7.1 virtualization on with a set of headphones. Usually it sounds cheap and stereo turns out better. This is not the case here at all.Now In terms of build quality, these are excellent as well. Very solid feeling with a really nice matte finish to them. Great clamping force with very comfortable ear cups and head band padding. I would like some velour pads, but that’s a small nitpick. They have a very toned down aesthetic that doesn’t scream “gamer”. That being said I still wouldn’t wear these in public, but that goes for most high end headphones. The mic is well... It’s a headset mic. It’s not going to compare to a solid dedicated mic, but it sounds good enough for general game chat use. It’s not bad by any means. While the price of these may seem a bit daunting, I would wager to say they are the only gaming headphones actually worth their price. Nothing else at this price point will perform like this. You just get a bunch of “gamer” branded cheap headphones with mediocre drivers that are massively overpriced. With the Cloud Orbits, you’re paying for a well engineered set of Planar Magnetic headphones. Shy of some flimsy delicate Hifiman’s, you aren’t getting Planars any cheaper. If you can afford it, look no further. These are what you want.

OK so these Planar Magnetic badboys are basically the Audeze Mobius without the wireless functionality. My first pair was suffering from a weird crackling sound, but Amazon quickly rectified this by sending another pair without hesitation. The product can be a hit an miss, but if you are ordering from Amazon, report issues immediately and you should get a replacement swiftly. Kudos to Amazon on customer service. Now to the product review. What can I say, hands down the best "versatile" gaming headset money can buy.If the sound quality is of concern to you, you won't get any better than this.I can compare the performance from a myriad of Corsairs,B&W, Sony, Audi Technica,Senheisers etc...you get my point. For music use the Hi-Fi Res mode, you won't go wrong. For movies 7.1 mode is excellent. For gaming you can use the 7.1 and let me tell you, pinpointing enemy gunfire or footsteps (shots, explosions) is a breeze. Forget turtle beaches or astro's, these are like a next level.Clarity and Bass is insanely good and well controlled.I have tried the 3D tracking mode but it feels gimmicky, not that it doesn't work, but you have to physically rotate your head, unless playing on a curved screen, it can be very awkward.Potential to connect these via many connection options (3.5mm, USB-A,USB-C) is also a plus.USB-C works works with most Android phones I tried (Samsung, Xiaomi...).The only headset a gamer really needs, for now the clarity and soundstage is unmatched.

Long-time FPS gamer, used to play CS:Source with ex-pros and CS:GO at Global Elite level. From gaming headsets, to thousands-of-dollars Sennheiser headphones, i've tried them all for gaming and music. For gaming however, nothing gives me as near-perfect a blend of appropriate resolution, clear distinct sounds with deep bass that's both fun and visceral and a GREAT 3d mode that works wonders in my current game of choice Battlefield V.Just turn on the 3D setting in Orbit software, set your in-game audio to headphones and you're ready to experience the game like never before. For positional audio it's also insanely precise with 3D mode and i can hear enemies running towards me from far away.Because the headset is closed and VERY immersive, i sort of FEEL the presence of bombs going off, gunfire and enemies approaching and it actually makes me play much better and react quicker, since i'm right there "with it", immersed in the experience.Went 17-0 in one of my first squad conquest matches since returning to BFV after a six months away from the game.Incredible headset! 5 stars. The only perceivable negative is that of course it doesn't have quite the resolution and razor sharp analytical-detail of a Sennheiser HD 660 S or HD 800 S, but the headset doesn't need it since game audio isn't made for that level of scrutiny. The Sennheiser's never FELT this involving, which is what gaming is all about for me.Buy it, try it, you won't regret it!

I love the 3D Audio technology. For the first time in my 15 years of gaming experience, I can pinpoint exactly where noise is coming from. Playing the new Modern Warfare, I can accurately determine where my enemies are approaching from. It's like I'm there, in the middle of it all. I've used all kinds of 7.1 gaming headsets before, all claiming to have the best surround sound accuracy and, while it was true to some extent, the accuracy did not even come close to what I'm experiencing using the Cloud Orbit. In terms of music, the 100 mm Planar drivers from Audeze, do an excellent job. The bass is strong, sound is crystal clear and very balanced. I did not expect a gaming headset to reproduce music so well.Studio quality.Comfort wise, the Cloud Orbit can be a bit heavy and if you're used to wearing lightweight headsets, you'll definitely notice the difference. However, I got used to their weight after a few days and it does not bother me too much anymore. In terms of design, not much to say.. pretty standard, with buttons for volume, mic volume, mic mute, 3D Audio, and ON/OFF button all placed on the left cup. Material used is some type of rubberised plastic and metal, with a premium feel to it.The mic is pretty decent too and there is no RGB lighting.Overall, very happy with the purchase. No regrets. This headset is well worth the price.

The overall design is great. However, I feel the memory foam ear pads, headband pad are just not firm enough. The strength of the headphones seems to be very acceptable and sturdy including the materials they use for the headphones. On the other hand, my experience of the reliability of the headphones so far hasn't been fantastic. The first pair I had we're faulty which required me to go through the hassle of getting either a replacement or a refund, The issue must have occurred during the manufacturing process or during the quality control of the headphones. The problem was due to a loose connection on the right side of the headphone, which caused the whole right side to be quieter than the left and completely disconnecting.Thankfully I disputed that I needed a replacement or a refund, luckily it was a replacement. I really enjoy wearing these headphones and hopefully the replacement I have currently doesn't become faulty. I would recommend if you're looking for a well balanced pair of headphones. EDIT: I have had these headphones for about 2 months, probably the best purchase I have made within the last year or two. Although I haven't used the 3d audio, I couldn't stress enough of how much of a difference these headphones make.

Great sound and quality for the price tag. They are a bit pricier when it comes to gaming headsets, but if you can get them on a reduced price, they are very much worth the cost. Great comfort and can be worn for hours on end.As much as they do cost though, I suggest getting the software for them so you can fix any equalizer options. Sadly, there's honestly not a lot of options in said software, but the pre-made setups in it does make a huge difference when it comes to sound, whether you need it for music, gaming, or just for browsing youtube; There are pre-made settings for just about anything you need. These are not the greatest music headphones, nor the best gaming headset; But rather walk a great middle-ground where you can do both, backed up with great quality sound. If you need a pair of headphones that can do both rather than having two pair of headphones, these hit just the right spot.Read full review...

I've used a few different headphones for gaming over the years. I'm not a techie and I'm not a pro player. Gaming headsets all come down to a few simple questions: are they comfortable for an extended period if time and is the sound clear and directional? With these HyperX headphones I can categorically state yes, yes and yes! These headphones for comfortably over my glasses that I wear for distance viewing. They feel fitted and secure without pressing tightly against my frames. The sound is excellent: clear and deep, without distortion, with great direction that adds to the immersive "being there" quality. They don't make me a better player: I still get carved-up a treat on Rainbow Six Siege but that's on me!If you're prepared to shell-out this kind of money on gaming headphones, these HyperX pair will certainly do the business for you. Recommended.

Ive been around the audiophile world for about 8 years and went through a lot of headphones, from you typical low tier beyerdynamics to HD800s, to Focal Utopia, you name it. But ive never really tried any closed back headphones with Planar magnetic drivers until now, and boyyyyyyy the detail on these headphones is just WTF. You hear little subtle things in music/movies and games that make you go like, wtf was that, i never heard that before. If you need a headphone that will serve you for the next 5-8 years, this is it. I doubt there is gonna be anything close to this in the gaming industry unless HyperX pulls of some miracle again.

I've used a bunch of gaming headphones in the past from logitech, astro etc. All companies promise the best sound but these headphones beat all my old headphones. The sound is great, very clear, crisp with a nice deep base. Doesn't disort even at high volumes. With the 3D technology you know exactly where the sound is coming from, it's not just a case of left/right. It feels like you're right there in the game. Comfort wise, I've used these for about 5h straight and had no issues. These might feel a bit heavier than other headsets but you'll get used to it after a day or so.

sounds great and its a usb headset which means more sound processing. mic quality is passable but could be better for the price. comfort is good but a little bit of clamping force. usb cable a bit too thick in my opinion. software is good and positional awareness is great

The headset is amazing, considerably better than all others that I have used. Opted for non-head tracking version as didn't feel there were any applications where I would put it to use.Note that without the software, I experienced a popping sound from the right cup.

Amazing headset, really easy to set up. The depth of sound on these is perfect, really does give you the added advantage in games. The microphone I’ve been told is also really good quality.
