I ordered these for my 19yr old daughter to go with new PS4 and also to use on gaming PC.She already owns a pair of headphones but she has had for a while.She disappeared with them as soon as they arrived and used them to log online and continue her multi player GTA game.She loves the headphones.The surround sound is amazing and she says the sound is just so crisp and clear almost as if there.She loved you could control sound,tone and bass from earphones whilst playing game without having to go into games settings ( ? I’m not quite sure what that means but apparently it’s a great plus).Another feature she loved is the removable microphone,the pair she already owned has a fixed microphone andshe thinks the removable mic is great feature.The mic been noise cancelling and so simple to mute another plus the only slight criticism she had was that volume on mic was a little lower than old set but not to extent its interfering with her game play.She also tried these out as headphones and listened to music through PC she said the sound is amazing and when I had a listen it really was so clear and the bass feature came in handy lol, she listens to style of music with heavy bass so much so I could feel it vibrating in my stomach.The earphones come with all leads needed and a spare set of fabric foams for earphones. all in handy black drawstring storage bag.They are so comfortable to wear and so light you can almost forget there on your head.I intended to give 4 stars for simple fact that despite how much better quality they are in every way I wasn’t sure was worth nearly extra £100 they cost ( previous pair were about £35) but my daughter insisted I give 5 stars saying you get what you pay for.If you are wanting a top quality set of earphones and you games and listen to music regular then yes these are for you and I have to admit the sound quality is as good as a top brand that cost more and these do have added benefit of been gaming earphones too so when you look at it like that they are actually very reasonably priced

CONNECTING==========• You can use a 3.5mm jack or USB (Type A).• If you're connecting to a PS4 then you'll have to use the 3.5mm jack in the controller (you cannot use USB)BEST THINGS==========• The faux leather ear cups are very comfortable. (I do not recommend using the other ear cups included in the box, it takes ages to fit them, and they're inferior anyway.)• The sound quality is impressive. I heard little nuances in music I’d heard hundreds of times before but didn’t notice.(I lay in bed with my eyes shut and listened to music for a few hours. I was completely immersed. I listened to tracks that I'd heard hundreds of times before; I noticed instrumental riffs I'd never heard before.)• I can crank the volume to maximum with no distortion at all.This is thanks to the dual chambers.BASS SLIDERS==========• I don't think the adjustable bass sliders on each ear cup are all that useful in practice. Perhaps if you're camping then you'll want to turn the bass down so you can hear footsteps.• I think it sounds better with the bass all the way up -- both in games and when listening to music.MIC===• It is very flexible. It makes a "creaking" noise as you bend and contort it.• The mic is not great. It's good enough for Discord or Team Chat.• When using the mic through the sound card, there is a lot of compression.• It sounds best when you use the 3.5mm jack instead of the sound card.Mac===• You can use it on  macOS, using USB, without the need to install any software. I got these headphones as I wanted a good pair to use for both gaming and listening to music while travelling and they are great for both. Very comfortable and the sound on them is great especially for competitive games. The bass sliders work as intended but don't offer a heap of difference unless you have an equaliser of some sort on your tablet, phone or pc. Apps like sportify have an equaliser option when listening on pc or tablet and when u crank the bass up via in app then these headphones sound even better.Now on to my issues with them. The first issue is that the usb 7.1 surround sound card DOES NOT work on xbox at all, not even series x r s,however the the 3.5mm jack works just fine via the controller.Second issue is with the mic, which works properly most of the time. multiple people I have spoken with on console have reported either a lot of static or low sound when I speak, as if I'm speaking into the mic from 3 rooms away. After a few minutes of removing and reconnecting cables the mic will work correctly.Third issue is the headset isn't 100% compatible with phones or tablets. If you remove the mic from the headset and plug it into a phone or tablet, the headset WILL NOT WORK, there will be no sound whatsoever coming through the headset. The headset will only work on phones and tablets as long as the mic is connected, which is a bummer for anyone wanting to use these for music while travelling.THANKFULLY there is a work around for this as you can download an "Audio Switch" app from the play store and this will fix the issue and allow you to use the headset on phone and tablets without having the mic attached, which works great aswell by the way.All in all I would recommend this headset if you can get past those nip picks as it has fantastic sound quality, build quilty and overall great performance.

These headphones are luxurious. They are so comfortable to wear, even for prolonged gaming sessions. They are lightweight and sit well on your head. They are completely breathable.The sound quality is exceptional. The surround sound is jaw dropping. It makes playing battle games ultra realistic. I would say it even puts you one step ahead of other gamers due to being able to hear what's going on around you in the game. Game music is clear and sounds rich. It all makes for a fully immersive gaming experience.Obviously the surround sound only works when plugged into a PC as the USB contains a sound card in the control unit.I love the aluminium frame. It makes it really durable and makes me reassured that these are strong and long lasting.It will even manage being thrown down in anger at getting killed and losing the kill streak. It means that they sit perfectly on my head too. It is tight enough to prevent slipping even when moving around. But they do not compress your head and cause any pain or discomfort.Also, aesthetically the metallic blue frame just makes these look like some serious kit.I love the removable mike. I'm often disturbed when I'm gaming by my wife wanting to have a conversation. Sometimes about private things, so in order to maintain privacy this is wonderful. Just remove the mike and you can be absolutely sure no one can hear what you're saying. In addition it means that when you aren't gaming and are on the move you can remove the mike and use the headphones are regular ones to listen to music.

Got these mainly to replace my old (insert leading brand here) headphones which I purchased when I got my Xbox One Day One Edition, so it was long overdue. So saw these and thought, they looked ideal, I was sooooo right. They are very sturdy, they are comfortable when worn, not as heavy as my old set. The sound is amazing, although with the Xbox you don’t have all the features of the usb controller that wires direct to a PC but you don’t need it, as you can control the volume settings via your controller. You can change the bass levels easy via a slider on the earphones, at maximum the depth is fantastic. I kept switching between my old set and this set, and I couldn’t believe the difference.The sound in these was crisp, it was really coming from all around in full but not quite 7.1 surround, and my mic was crisp and clear to my online friends.You get all the connectors including a nice drawstring bag for storage and not only the standard memory foam leatherette ear cushions but a spare pair of fabric covered ones for back up. Which is very handy, as leatherette tends to flake away after a few years...believe me, that’s experience talking!Overall I would thoroughly recommend these headphones for either console or PC gaming, as they are truly superb! Just fire up the console and get ready to get blown away by how true the sounds are in these, no external noise will interfere which is a welcome bonus.

I am using Fedora 31 Linux. Overall the headset is great - lightweight, comfy ear pads and very good sound quality. I found the 7.1 surround sound to be brilliant. The bass controls on the headphones do make a difference (I noticed others said they did not), but I admit it's not a massive difference.If I use the headset just via the mini-jack, then it all works (no surround sound of course). In particular the mic works fine. (I had to make one minor change to Fedora to reduce the otherwise large amount of hiss when recording.) The sound quality as stereo headphones, is again great.If I use the headset via the USB connector, then the surround sound, and other controls, work, but the mic does not.For some reason it is seen (using 'lsusb -v'), but not available for use (via system settings, alsamixer, pavucontrol etc). This was really disappointing, but I cannot honestly say that it is the headset at fault, maybe something in Linux is just not quite enabling the mic.I was going to return the headset, but decided to keep it. I looked at other makes/models, but to be honest I could not find anything that provided so much. I'll simply use the jack when I need to use the mic, and use USB at other times. Not ideal (hence 4 stars), but good enough for me.

First thing is that the look and these certainly look the part. They feel pretty good, with the quality of everything suggesting you should get a good amount of use out of them.On the head they are certainly comfortable, and I was able to use them while gaming for hours without any discomfort. The sound through them is pretty good as well. It does have a few adjustment options to the sound, but after messing with them for a little while I ended leaving them at the basic settings because those gave a pretty good balance through the whole range of sound.The only thing I wasn't really sure about was the 7.1 surround sound setting. To be honest it just made the sound a little echoey,so I wasn't overly enamoured with it and just turned the option back off again. Note that this is a virtual surround sound, it doesn't actually have 8 speakers in your headphones, it is all done with clever software and while it will work in some games, I don't think it will work for all (at least it didn't for me that is).Simply put this a quality set of headphones so it is well worth considering if you are looking for a new set.

These are now my new favourite headphones for more than one reason. However at the top of the list is comfort.Having had the opportunity to use a variety of headphones I have to say without a doubt that these are the most comfortable cans I've used. Most modern headphone are comfortable in their own way, but when you are wearing headphones for hours on end you do notice the difference.Of course headphones are made for hearing less than wearing and in this department these are superb, more so when used in their natural environment.They are calibrated to pick up the faintest tones while not overpowering. Lows are clear, not muddy, highs are pristine and the midrange is clear.The ergonomics are great,the easy balancing between chat and game volume, the large volume controls, and the removable microphone, all points to a well considered product at a great price point.And they come with an extra set of ear cushions. This is important as I've had to ditch headphones because I couldn't get replacement cushions when I needed them.

To start off I never leave reviews but these deserve all the credit they deserve, I play a range of games including escape from Tarkov before I was using razors they were good. These head phones are very very comfortable light and very easy to use. I have been laying for a while now and have never quite been able to know where an enemy is until now earlier I got these headphones I played about 40 games since then and my god they are absolutely game changing the weapon sounds the pin point accuracy of foot steps dripping water the whole environment that your in sounds absolutely amazing and then comes down to whether they are worth the money? In my opinion definitely yes on that. Are the fit for purpose?Yes. Are you going to enjoy your gameplay more because of them? 100%. I would recommend these headphones over any other they are definitely a must for a new or existing set up absolutely outstanding for the price sound quality is everything in a game.

The first thing I noticed when using these is how robust they feel, they are a huge upgrade from my previous Hyper X PS4 licensed headset. The sound quality is also very very crisp and small details are easily distinguishable, it trumps the TV or Speaker audio quality and allows you to play with the sound via the adjustable bass.Adjusting the bass is easy and there is a clear difference from the lowest and highest level, I preferred to keep it around the middle and games sounded high quality with great depth to the audio.The microphone works better on PC than console (PS4) as there is no input delay and you get the benefit of the USB connection. Regardless,it sounds great on both platforms and there were no issues when using it.The headset as a whole feels very robust and sturdy, they are comfortable to wear for extended periods of time and there is good attention to detail.

The headphones came as described and packaged really nicely,The sound quality is really good, the audio is crisp and cleary with a great range in highs and lows.The headset is also very comfortable and a good weight, With the sponge's headrest and earmuffs, is comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The metal frame makes the headset rigid and stable.The headset comes with a detachable microphone, The microphone is exactly very good, But you will have to tweak some settings in both your OS and VOIP software. Don't expect it to be great out the box.You can also control the mic and volume levels using the control panel, it makes playing games with friends and controlling sound settings very easy.Overall,I've owned a similar pair of HyperX headphones and I say with confidence that these are some of the best priced and quality headsets you can buy.

My 18 year old son has been using this headset for the past week and this is what he has to say: ' Good sound quality though the mic seems a bit low on volume. The surround sound is great and the headset is comfortable to wear for a long time. Not so keen on foam covered mics, in my experience I have always preferred plastic/metal, don't feel the foam adds to quality or reduces muffles/noise cancelling. The base adjustment is useful, someone game tracks can be booming so adjusting the base helps. I like the fact you can remove the mic and use only as headphones, my old headset you push up the mic if you want just to listen, I'm not sure why I prefer it but it just feels better.Overall quality is really good, lots of adjustments, lightweight, very happy but feel headset just misses the 5 stars due to mic quality'.

This headset is a successful addition to my PC gaming experience. The sound quality is superb. The set fits well without being either too tight or too loose. Its nice and lightweight too. The supplied cable was a good length.The detachable microphone is not so good as I prefer a fixed mic that can be swung upwards and out of the way when not in use. With the supplied mic all you can do is bend it away from the mouth but it still gets in the way. I didn't find that the "Game and Chat Audio Balance" control was much use. The bass slider on each earcup didn't make much difference to the sound in my games.It's quite an expensive headset and the innovative features didn't quite match up to expectations.But I do like the overall quality and it does make gaming a pleasure. Recommended.

I've always used Sennheiser headphones which have cost around £300 however some people have tried to compare Sennheiser to these Hyperx gaming headset, you can't compare these headphones with the world leaders. These Hyperx headphones do a great job for the price, I found them very comfortable however if you use any headphones for a long period of time they will become uncomfortable so I would suggest take a break every hour.The headphones look and feel great and look more expensive than they are. At the moment I'm using them on PS4 and haven't encountered any problems or faults.Love the fact that you get a 2 year warranty with them which is good also.Overall I think the quality is very goodand solid build.

used to use the steel series Arctis 5 and they started to give up after 4 or 5 years, but after getting these i love them crisp sound, really easy to pinpoint where an enemy is. mic is also amazing, useful that it is discord certified. The overall build quality is amazing, very rugged. The bass slider is really effective and you can tell the difference on each setting. i think the only downside is the software is still in beta but i hope they add more features to it to change the way the mic transmits and how u can change the sound settings rather than just the volume and the 7.1 surround. but over all an amazing product and will be using it everyday.
