Hobbyboss model aircraft are cheap and cheerful. Construction is rather simple compared with Airfix and Revel kits that you remember from 40-50 years ago. With Hobbyboss you can put the kit together in a few minutes. A child might then play with it as a toy while a veteran might concentrate on the painting.The model refers to a late version of the aircraft (Kittyhawk IV in British and Commonwealth service but P-40N Warhawk in the US Army). There are two sets of decals (very neat and easy to put on) with this kit so you can paint it as US Army or Chinese Air Force c. 1940. The full colour painting guide gives no information as to where the chosen aircraft served but you can probably find out from Wikepedia.
