MeBo was very obese (7.3 kg) at the start of Feb 20. This morning (19 Dec 20) she is down to 5.65 kg - a 23% reduction so far. She is much fitter and more active. Our vet is happy with the weight loss and the rate of loss. MeBo seems very content with the food and doesn't beg for more between meals. I've been giving her 30g of Hills metabolic weight management food and one 85g pouch of the Metabolic weight management food every day (split into 2 feeds). I started out giving her just the dry food but then I substituted some with the wet food to give her a bit of variety. The biggest change in her is definitely her breathing which was quite laboured and noisy previously.

We needed to put our 3 year old female on diet as recommended but our vet, she is has gained to much weight in recent months after we discovered she was was eating her own food & also the other cats food in the house, she’s not keen on flavour but l have stuck with it her weight is slowly coming down. I feed her the recommended portion each day so yes it is working but once she’s reached her goal weight l will give her normal food. I would have tried another flavour but it’s to costly to try a variety plus l have no need to put my other cat on a diet so it would be wasted! I read other recommendations who’s cats enjoyed it but not ours!

I went onto this product when my cat needed to lose weight. She loves it, she shouts for it. She was 5.85kg, and in just under 12 months she was down to 4.48kg. Amazing success. I am now working with my vet to find the right level of food for her in the maintenance aspect of the regime.She tried a different food first off, but it had little effect. I would recommend this to anyone. As for the comments about them becoming lazy and with poor coat condition, absolute rubbish. My cat is more active than she has ever been, and this is due to the weight loss meaning she can actually move. Her coat and eyes are sparkling and bright.

The product is a big success with our cats They love it. They almost crave it. They've not lost much weight but they've not put any on either. Our vet recommended the wet food but they turned their noses up at that, so we tried the dry food. Their coats have transformed into the softest, shiniest looking coats ever. I have never been a fan of feeding cats dry food so I do still give them wet food too. If your vet recommends it to you, I would absolutely give it a go!

Recommended by veterinary practice to reduce the weight of an over 8kg cat. His weight is reducing slowly, he is more active and appears much happier. Have previously used the so called 'light' diets for neutered cats in the past but this is the only diet that has worked for him. Will continue to be monitored by vet every six months.

Both my cats were overweight and have been on this food for about 4 months. The vet is super impressed with their progress and says this food is the most effective of all the weight loss/ control options that her patients use. Cat's are happy and clear their bowls without complaint.

Well my fat cat needed to lose weight but until my vet recommended this nothing worked. She continues to lose weight slowly but nevertheless loses it. Long way to go yet all I have to do now is find a solution to the neighbour who kindly leaves food. Out for all the cats........

Thanks so much for fast delivery. Also thanks for the free toy. My little man loved it, started playing with it straight away, I didn’t even get the food out of the box before he took the toy and started playing with it. He has hundreds of toys, but will only look at that one.

My two cats seem to love this food after their vet said they needed a dietary change as they were overweight. Both of them have lost weight since going on it but they seem to be hungry a lot more than they used to be. It’s also very expensive, which hurts the bank.

My 3 year old cat needs to lose a kg .recomemded by the vets i bought a bag of this and givimg her the recomemded amount each day but shes stil always hungry. Not sure what to do

Metabolic was recommended by my vet for my indoor cat who has few kilos to lose. I'm happy to say that he likes it very much and that he has lost some weight. Success!

Cat needs to lose weight hence the need for a new type of food. The cat is a very fussy eater but this food suits her and she is losing weight very successful

This cat food is enjoyed by our cat and is convenient to use. However this should be in conjunction with veterinary supervision as part of weight control.

Siamese love it, their weight is slowly coming down, should be a little quicker, so may adjust amount to allow for indoor cats. Loss 200gms in 4 weeks.

Big bag of nibbles that goes down well. Comes with a measuring cup. Can be used as main food and “treats” if weighed out daily.
