I usually alternative between 'light' and 'adult' varieties like this one.My moggies have been eating Iams for 10yrs or more, and thrive on it. It's a complete diet in itself, so you don't need to feed them 'wet' cat food as well -- although mine do appreciate a bit of variety and the odd sachet of something juicy, too.You don't need to feed cats very much Iams -- portion sizes are quite small -- and it's easy to over-feed, so you have to be a bit careful that you don't end up with fat cats!Iams pellets are ideal for cats who live indoors and use litter trays; there's less to clean up and it's much less smelly/offensive.You MUST ensure that your cats have plenty of water available, however. It's also worth bearing in mind that some of the more specialised varieties can get quite expensive. Always check the 'price per kilo'. Sometimes the 'light', 'mature' and 'hairball' varieties cost much more, and I'm not convinced that they really offer many more health benefits.Bigger bags are generally cheaper BUT my cats do get bored with eating one flavour for a long time. So you may need to get a couple of properly airtight tins so you can buy big bags at low prices, and swap between varieties to keep cats happy. And you definitely need airtight tins: the bags are resealable but the seal isn't perfect, and it seems that some of the flavour escapes over time, which again makes the food less interesting for the felines.Another thing I have noticed is that when I've tried the cats on own-brand supermarket dried foods, after eating Iams, they have been far less keen. Sometimes it's a struggle to get the cats to eat other brands... so be aware that they may get very familiar with Iams, and then not want to eat much else!8/10

We have two short haired tabby cats, 5 and 1. In the past we have tried a myriad of cat foods from the supermarkets, some of which they liked, and some that they would turn their noses up at and refuse to eat. When our vet suggested we move our dog onto a higher quality dog food to alleviate his excess energy levels we opted to try Iams based on many positive recommendations. We also decided we would try switching our cats over at the same time, nothing ventured nothing gained right? After a month we were impressed. Whilst energy levels seemed the same (cats are all lazy!), the impact on our wallet wasn’t as obvious as one might assume. Whilst it is a more expensive premium cat food, you don’t need to use as much of it. The high protein content means that a smaller portion leaves your felines feeling just as full up as greater portions of inferior foods. There is also the satisfaction of knowing you’re feeding them a better quality food with less added sugar/salts etc. To top it off they absolutely love it as well. The added advantage of Amazon delivery is the icing on the cake. There are a few things improvements we would like to see however. 1) A 4kg bag would be better; 3kg is just short of enough food to last 2 cats 1 month. 2) An included measuring scoop of some sort would be useful as weighing out food is not convenient. 3) Stronger packaging would be useful, our cats can actually eat through the plastic to get to the food!

My girl is a three-year-old rescue. A darling, but the fussiest of eaters, which is surprising given she was a stray subsisting on crisps, discarded pasties, and puddle water. After much trial and error, we discovered she loved wet food in gravy, so we would give her a pouch in the morning and evening and have dry food out 24/7 for her to graze if she was hungry. She hardly touched the dry food and woe betide we give her jelly - that would put her in a royal strop resulting in hunger strikes. So when I was lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to trial Iams Vitality I jumped at the chance. I didn't hold out much hope given how fussy our girl is, but frankly, the results were shocking. At first, she avoided it.... but then it got so she would only eat the Iams Vitality and totally ignore her wet food. Now I don't even bother putting out wet food. Previously I would fill a bowl with dry cat food then top it up maybe once or twice a month. Now she's demolishing the dry food and I'm having to refill every few days. This pleases me because dry food smells less, is less likely to spoil, does not attract ants or flies and the shelf life is longer.Thumbs up from me. Paws aloft from Princess Wobbles.

Been buying IAMs cat food(dry) of one sort or another, for nearly 12 years, since my twins(male and female cats) were born. They are like children to me, and their health, vitality, and physical abilities(sportiness etc) means the world to me- as I'm also a Healer, teacher of advanced subjects in Health and Wellbeing etc- and so on.Both my babies have NEVER really taken to ANY other brand or FLAVOUR of food; and have ALWAYS enJOYed IAMs Light with Ocean Fish or IAMs Adult(orange pack). They still bounce around like kittens and get up to some pretty cool physical movements and activities- at the age of 12! A blood scan of one of them revealed that they were destined to lvie "until at least 30" - to paraphrase the vet.Having said that, each living organism has it's own DNA blueprint, which is different to some degree, and IAMs food working for my babies, does NOT mean it's the best for your babies!Best you try out what works for your kids - but I would recommend IAMs any time.Amazon's shipping to Ireland too is awesome! 5 working days and FREE delivery- which for someone with no income at present, is a God-send!THANK YOU IAMs ()and Amazon!)

Iams very full up with the most softest coat....says my cats! What impressed me the most is the fact that not only did my cats love eating the food... but also the brightness in their eyes, the softness and shininess of their fur coats, their energy levels bounced through the roof, their playfulness dramatically increased, and even their naps were improved with less wakefulness - after 8 days of eating Iams - WOW is not the word for it.I really should of already known that Iams is evidently by far the best dry cat food on the planet AND at such an affordable price!I now feed my cats regularly on dry cat food made by Iams and as a treat, instead of giving my cats tit bits of my own food (which are very unhealthy for them)or cat specific treats, I actually give them Iams wet food now...which actually has real peas and peppers etc in it depending upon the flavour! - They love the wet food too!!My cats each say: Iams very happy! Meow meow! Rarr! Meow!

IAMS is the food of choice for our cat. Mostly because it's what he ate at the shelter and they sold us the first bag of it. He's very, very soft and is very healthy and energetic, so he's certainly not lacking anything in his diet as far as I can tell.As I don't like having to worry about whether or not there's enough cat food, I decided to just buy this 10kg bag of it and be done for the next few months (or however long it takes him to get through it). I'd certainly recommend this for people with multiple cats, as it's a serious amount of food.Someone mentioned it getting dry in another review, but we've just been folding over the opening and pegging it closed and the inside of the bag has a sort of waxy lining which seems to keep everything from drying out too much.It is a bit difficult for me to pour into his bowl (I have to lift this bag with both arms and tip it over) but apart from that, it's awesome!

I recently changed my cats food to this Iams dry cat food and I've been very impressed. I have two cats and one prefers wet the other dry. I was finding that I was constantly putting wet pouches down and they were just guzzling them down and then were often sick. I spoke to sales assistants in my local pet store and they explained about the ingredients in some of the popular cat food brands - Felix/Whiskas. She recommended that I try this and my cats love it! I was worried if they would take to it but I read up on how to introduce new food from the Iams website and they've been absolutely fine with it. I've still kept some of their old food but they go straight for the Iams.I've found that I don't need to feed them as often because it's more nutritious and fills them up with good stuff! They also haven't been sick at all which is a result. I'd recommend feeding your cat Iams over the cheaper brands any day.

One word - recommended. We tried IAMs recently and are glad that we did!Our cat was very curious and attracted to the smell once the packet was first opened. He ate his meal deliciously, without spoiling a single biscuit.Of course you have to remember that switching over to any new food takes a few days, and if you're worried your cat wouldn't like it, try adding a little bit of IAMS to her current dry food, mixing them together. Keep gradually increasing the amount of IAMs in her meal, until you've 100% switched. We find the label easy to read and understand - the ingredients appear to be very good, and the best thing is that the quality and amount of protein has been targeted. We are a bit picky and don't fancy how oily the biscuits are, but we believe they are made to suit the cat's needs just fine.Would buy again as long as our cat continues to love IAMs!

A premium cat food which offers lots of protein 33%, so slightly more than the 31.4% in the food I normally feed my cat. However, I normally feed an oral food, which has big kibbles to help keep my cat's teeth clean. This one has small kibbles (ok, so it's not pretending to be an oral cat food). I did, however, mix the two together in a bowl to try and get the best of both worlds and at first, my cat seemed keen on the taste of the IAMS in preference to the oral, but over a couple of weeks, he has switched himself back to the oral large kibble biscuit. I am guessing he has decided that he knows what he likes best and,as there is no shortage of protein packed tasty treats in the garden at the moment he is more than capable of fulfilling his nutritional needs on that score!!

I normally get a different dry food formulated for cats with a sensitive stomach as one of my kitties has a delicate digestion. But when I was unable to get my regular one, after comparing the ingredients, I decided to try Iams for Vitality instead. It turned out to be a good decision - the cats love it, it has a higher meat/protein content and, best of all, seems to suit my sensitive cat even better than the old brand. Also, these 3kg bags of Iams are great value for money from Amazon. For info, I was a bit concerned about wheat being listed in the ingredients in the Amazon description but, having double-checked the Iams website, I found that this product is in fact wheat free (although made in a factory where wheat is present).See pic of ingredients from current bag.

I needed to switch up my cats diet, i wanted to make sure they were getting the best as some dry foods contain cereals and should only really be used as a mixer with meat - I bought a Purina food for indoor cats but i found them eating it ALOT. My dog used to have Iams, so my mum recommended me as her cat has this mix too. It's briliant, though this 3kg doesn't seem to last very long for me with two cats? But it's a reasonable price and has save me a lot of money in the long run as i was paying £5 for a normal sized bag. My cats don't seem to be constantly eating this and wanting more through out the day, and a bowl each lasts them, and i only top up slightly before bed time.I have ordered this twice now and i am happy with the product.

I have to moggies who are sisters. One has a very sensitive digestion nd is often sick after guzzling her food but has not been for the last couple of weeks since using this IAMS with chicken. She is better with chicken based foods and I never buy fish ones or red meat ones for that reason. The kibbles are a nice size and both cats run to be fed each day when I shake the bag. This food is a higher quality than most dry foods and you can tell it isn't full of cereals as thy both gobble it with enthusiasm wheres thy reject cheaper ones. Being carnivores cats need protein containing taurine and this food has plenty and my cats certanly have lovely shiny coats and look very healthy and happy.

This is a wonderful product, I was lucky enough to be chosen to try it. My cats went mad for it and they now have glossy soft coats and bright eyes. I like the fact that it is much higher in natural meat protein compared to other brands. Also one of my cats had become slightly overweight and lazy lately, but since feeding him this product be is now slimmer and more agile like a young cat his age should be (although he still lies down to eat) . I had to drag my kitten away from the adult cat's bowls as she wanted to eat it too, but I now have some extra happy Cats!I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to feed their cats a highly nutritious diet rich in natural protein

Never used this brand before, as thought it over priced.I have 4 cats one kitten, I tried this because one cat was having loose stools, and one who has only 4 teeth was eating to fast, not chewing and throwing up.I think I have been feeding this for around 3 weeks, still have half a sack left, no loose stools and the cat that was throwing up hasn't done so since being on this food.under weight young cat along with her normal kitten food has filled out nicely.older cats, coats looking much healthier,Roughly its costing around a fiver a week to feed three cats, I say three as two have kitten food as well.I shall be buying more of this food,
