Unfortunately my handsome little furry guy can’t live off dry food (will have infection and blocked urethra on dry food alone). We have to feed him wet food to make sure he is getting enough water to flush his system. Unfortunately our vet tells us that wet food is causing his teeth to go bad. He suggested trying to add a handful of quality dry food each day to his diet (wet food staying as the main source) which may help clean his teeth. He does however absolutely love this stuff, and when both these are down alongside his wet food, hands down these biscuits win! If the product details are to be believed (I’ve seen nothing yet to believe otherwise) they have an excellent high percentage of meat too.I am gutted he can’t live off this stuff alone as I think this product is much healthier for his teeth and body as a whole.(Just a small tip based off our experience: Vet recommended Hills Prescription dry food to “stop” him suffering with his blocked urethra and infections. Tried the stuff (which he enjoyed a lot) but within two weeks he was back on a catheter again. Did a little research and read that plain old wet food would work better than Hills prescription food (which you don’t need a prescription for anyway, so already somewhat misleading product name). Indeed, after over a year and a half of wet food, he has not had any issues.

I was given a four year old LaPerm cat by the owners who were emigrating. They had her on whiskas/felix pouches and some Go Cat. Well she would only lick the gravy or jelly off the pouches, leaving all the "meat" - more like foam rubber pieces. She was also not keen on the dry food, only eating a few pieces per day. I felt she couldn't possibly be getting enough nutrients from her 4% meat Go Cat and gravy/jelly from pouches. I did some online research and decided that Applaws was the food to try. I put some in a dish beside her wet food and she bolted the lot in some kind of mad feeding frenzy then threw the lot up! I then bought two pink food balls, little plastic balls with holes for the food to fall out of when the cat rolls them around the floor. Two years on and all she eats is applaws dry food from the food balls. She is bouncing with health, NEVER throws up, litter contents are all as they should be, and the rolling of the balls round the floor means she is kept busy and can't bolt her food. Im actually really thankful to the Applaws company for making this lovely food. One possible downside - the individual pieces of food are smaller than other brands, so if your cat is greedy/lazy, they don't have to bite the pieces before swallowing, not helping their dental health. On the upside, it's perfect for toothless cats!

Applaws has sorted my kittens stomachs out no end. I did lots of research when I realised I had sensitive little souls. Tried a few other brands but found this was the best meat content and price range for us. I order the 7.5kg bag every time now as I know I won’t be changing anytime soon. Highly recommend to anyone with fussy or sensitive cats.December ‘19 EDIT: One of my boys suddenly started being sick quite frequently. Tried eliminating the canned meat from his diet and feeding him on just pure chicken and little veg for few days, he was fine. Soon as put him back on the biscuits he starts randomly being sick. I thought it was just him being greedy and eating too quick so we put the biscuits only in his special slow feeder, still sick. Changed his biscuits to another brand over night and nearly a month later still no sick! I would never write an awful review about a company I loved but now I have read lots of other reviews with the same issues I can’t believe it. Will never feed my boys this food again. What a shame Applaws :(

I am one of four cats by the way, and there is another who lives up the street, he eats here too! I have all dry food because my tummy gets upset if I have wet food, so our mum buys applaws and puts some tasty bits of chicken, cheese, beef, or even another flavour in it, just to ring the changes for me sometimes. Yep! I have got to say, "Life is good"...... (I am Pepsi, I live with Maisie, Lily, Lady (she is a bit snooty and spits at me sometimes, but I think she had a bad time at her previous home), and 13 year old cracker is the one that lives along the road. His mum gives him all dry food but he hasn't got many teeth left, so he comes here twice a day and howls outside until our mum gives him his Felix selections. Then we have, Bonny, the dog, she's alright, then there's Sheila, the tortoise and others.... We wish you a Merry Christmas from all of us! Oh,' and from our two mums, Joan and Annette who both love us all.....

Our two cats love Applaws biscuits. They were initially eating IAMS biscuits alongside a range of wet food - dry food during the day when we were out and wet food for breakfast and supper. We made the change as our vet suggested a bit more dry food would help keep their teeth clean. As they would only nibble the IAMS it was not worth trying to stick with that so we made a switch. From the moment the Applaws went in the bowl they have loved it and often choose it over the wet food. We have been serving it to them for about 3 months now and they haven't tired of it yet. I have to say, there is a light smell compared to some other dry foods but it does not linger and can only really be smelt whenactually pouring the biscuits out of the bag. This order arrived quickly and was a good price compared to other shops online or local to us. An all round win.

The Cat kept sniffing the bag and hanging around the cupboard. So we ditched the last weeks worth of the old brand and opened the Applaws. He was straight into his bowl. Hardly surprising, Cat is a carnivore and this is mostly meat and fish with extra essential nutrients. He was a rescue kitten with a dodgy gut and also developed a balding streak on his back a couple of years ago. Within two weeks he had normal cat poop and the hair was growing back, a week later and it's looking near normal. The recommended amount is less but it's enough to satisfy Cat because it supplies all the nutrients he needs. Better value, no waste.Forget the supermarket stuff or other makes,we'll keep to this unless they can possibly improve on it.Cat agrees and is looking much happier now, next door's cat looks in with envy.

We have 2 cats. They are not picky. They will eat anything you threw at them. But, I thought, as we are trying to eat healthy food, why don’t we try something better for them too. After doing some research and recommendation from my wife (a Vet nurse), we decided to try this brand. As most other reviewers said, they smell a bit, but not anything unusual.Small kibble size and my cats are fine with that.My cats probably eat 7.5 kg in 2 months. They also come in different compositions and you may wish to check which one you prefer.Things I like -- Good packing- Good kibble size- My cats love them (but they eat anything)- Different varieties available to give them different taste/flavourWill I buy this again - YesThank you for looking at my review ?.I hope the review was “HELPFUL” to you.

Excellent quality food. My cat started behaving like kitten again (not sure the cat toys appreciated it as much as we did) after a few days on this food. She loves it more than she has ever loved any dry food.Only downside for me was that, though she is small, she will eat a lot more of this food each day than she used to on other food. I don't ration her as she has always been perfectly good at judging for herself how much to eat and would not like to start doing just for this food so since she didn't put on any weight despite her increased intake (which I suspect was down to her increased activity). But what this does mean is that this food ends up costing more than I am able to spend in the long run. However, if it's within your budget, in my opinion it's the best cat food out there!

My cats get two meals of Felix as good as it looks pouches a day and if they want more to eat they get Applaws kibble. This is definitely one of the better brands of cat food, reflected in both the ingredients used and the price! I like that it is grain free and contains a high % of animal derived ingredients. Unless you do a 100% natural diet for cats that you cook yourself you'll probably never find a perfect food without any rubbish in it to bulk it out, but this at least one of the brands with less rubbish in it. Worth the extra penny if you can afford it just for the reassurance that your cats are getting better quality food.Unfortunately I cannot afford to feed my girls with the Applaws wet food as it is so expensive (but very good quality!).

Both my cats really love this food, we moved them away from Iams as I heard bad things about the use of maize and grain in those products. So far after 6 months of feeding them on this and on the chicken version their coats have got much softer and they both really seem to love it.I'd recommend phasing them over to a new food slowly by mixing it with their old food. I don't think anyone would regret buying their cats 100% natural cat food. (Be warned it can smell quite strong at times). It's worth it. The kitties love it. Generally getting it from amazon is cheaper than getting it from muy local supermarket too. I've been using subscribe and save and getting 15% discount though.

So far so good! She likes it and so do we. The smell is horrid lol but it's a good product. I have bought applaws from different sellers on the past and it always has strong odour. When I first started her on applaws she wasn't too thrilled about it because she was used to all those cheap wet foods that are packed with artificial flavours and smells and she did not enjoy applaws at all. But after a short while of nothing else being on offer she came around. I am convinced that applaws is one of the best cat foods out there and I have subscribed. She will still have her cheap conservatives as a treat only but not too often haha

My 2 cats love this food. Never any refusal to eat or waste. One 7.5kg bag which I feed unlimited lasts my 2 cats 3 months so great value. 1 bag fits perfectly into 2 plastic tubs you would get 50 bird fat-balls in. This keeps it fresh the whole time. Has quite a strong smell but not offensive. Has a very slightly moist texture not like those horrid cheap biscuits that leave powder in the bottom of the box. When you compare the amount of meat/protein (80%) to supermarket brands (sometimes less than 4%), you will not go back.I swap between the salmon & lamb flavours. They love both.Highly recommend.

I started using this product a couple of years ago when one of my cats had been suffering with an allergic skin condition for about 6 months and applying the creams was a battle. After just a few days, her fur was completely back to normal so after doing the necessary (in my opinion) of stopping this feed only for the condition to return, I have continued using it since and now all 3 cats are on it. Dont think I'll ever use anything else now, my cats love it and because you feed a smaller amount than other dry foods, it actually works out quite cost effective when purchased in the large 7.5kg bags.

Applaws provide excellent kitten/cat (and dog) food as it contains far (far!) higher meat volumes than any other cat food I have come across - which has to be better for the cat - less fattening too! Also, I feed reduced amounts to normal cereal filled products....it is more nutritional and the cat itself eats less of it as a result. The shiny, lush coated, bright eyed and active critter speaks for itself! Just have to change suppliers occasionally as other on-line companies offer free postage and packing - which makes a tremendous difference occasionally!! Always check that before ordering.

My cat loves this food, I moved him over to this around 5 months ago when I became aware of the lack of protein in the food I had been feeding him (Whiskas) he seemed to get an upset stomach fairly regularly and I was getting worried. Since moving him over to this food I have seen a marked improvement in his coat, and he does not get an upset stomach anymore. I also feel good knowing I am giving him completely natural food with pro & prebiotics . I generally give him one to two can of the Applaws wet food a day and make up the rest with this dry food.
