With a view to adopting them, I was looking after two kittens from Cats Protection, both of which had chronic diarrhoea (as did all the other kittens in their litter, as well as another litter which had been brought up in the same household). The vet tried all sorts of diets and remedies, but the problem got so bad that they even had blood in their faeces and we were beginning to fear the worst in terms of their long-term survival. We had tried Hills Vet Essentials cat food, but it only had limited success, so we moved onto I/D and their diarrhoea problems disappeared straight away.Some months later, the kittens were able to tolerate normal cat food, but I still buy this one because one of my two kittens in particular loves the taste,

Our cat had recurring tummy problems sometimes for weeks at a time which has been on and off since we got her as a kitten. Our vet prescribed this food and since the switch she's not had any issues! We kept her on this food after the prescription pack ran out and she has been eating it for around 5 months now. The change is remarkable. I do agree with the other reviewer - it did make her put on weight before I figured out how much to give her, she was also an indoor cat at the time so it may not be a good long term food for indoor cats as they tend to get less exercise. Since going outside she is eating the same amount (roughly 2 small cups of the dry food and 1 pouch of whiskas wet food a day)

My 2 cats would eat this all day at insane volume if they were allowed - it's very tasty for a start. More importantly, one of mine is renowned for eating stupid things that he shouldn't, and some of those result in some serious upsets that need a little help to recover from. This was prescribed by a vet, and along with that and some pro-biotic dust, is excellent at helping recover serious stomach upsets after a couple of days, returning our boys back to their normal healthy selves. If you think you have a need to use this on an ongoing basis, go visit your vet, as it should ideally be prescribed after a review of your animal.

Have to get this for an older tom-cat that has digestion issues. He's been prescribed it by the vet and seems to do well on it. The problem has not returned so far - and he eats/crunches them happily. Somehow never tires of it???Unfortunately the vets prices are quite high (don't have insurance) so tried to source it elsewhere.Buying this from AZ saves me carrying 5kg bags from the vet on public transport and is exactly the same as what they sell and cheaper! I've tried 3-rd party sellers but it's either been opened and taped (!) or seemed old/off so it's great that AZ itself sells it now.

I was advised by my vet that one of my two cats had a dietary issue (was constantly being sick) and that this was the food that she should be eating. We now have very few bouts of her being sick (except when she has hairballs). I purchased some from the vet and she was happy to eat it... as was her brother... it became the only food he'd eat. Now a year and a half on, both my 2 year olds have it down alongside the moist food and will empty the bowl. I am reassured that this is a great product for my little girl cat with the poorly tum but that it also helps her brother with his digestion.

We were recommended this by our vet after our rescue cat had almost constant tummy troubles, and would be in his litter box immediately after eating. At first we were unsure but this stuff is fantastic. It is a bit fattening, especially as ours is indoor so make sure you measure the food properly but we have noticed a MASSIVE difference from a scrawny, little boy with a greasy coat to a lovely fluffy (if a bit plump!) loving kitty. He also seems to have much more energy and we notice a huge difference if we have to feed him anything else.Fantastic product :)

My 10 year old tabby started throwing up every few days . After expensive blood tests , it turns out he’s healthy but the vet recommended this dry food paired with the wet food little cans of the same brand . It’s been 2 weeks and he hasn’t thrown up since. They’re very expensive and so I can’t afford buying them regularly but I’ve been feeding this brand together with his usual food and it still worked and made his tummy feel better . If you can afford this all the time , then don’t hesitate, it’s amazing and your little furry friend will thank you

My cat has diarrhoea and we are waiting for results of test. The vet recommended in the meantime this diet which is easy on the tum.Was a bit worried at first as both of my cats refused to eat it. I want them to eat the same food otherwise it's a pain having to separate them.I noticed that they were licking round the morsels so decided to mush it all up with a fork and now they will both eat it.Smelly gas has cleared up although diarrhoea is still a problem but I am happy with this product and will continue to use it.

Our oldest cat, a 16 years young moggie, started to have toilet issues. After an all clear from the vet, we decided that her diet needed changing.This food, added to her diet, has done wonders for her. Although she still likes to eat with my other cats, she loves this food.Unfortunately for Amazon, I cannot personally attest to its flavour and my old girl cannot give her opinion either (daft question Amazon! ) but she likes eating this kibble so I have given a 5* rating for flavour.

The ordering, delivery and packaging was outstanding. Good quality cat food, that suits my kitty's diet ordination due to a stomach problem caused by two accidents/injuries which had to be treated by specialists. He went through two 6 hours surgeries. The healing and recovery went well. Now he has to eat food which is high in protein and low in bulk substances. Meaning: high quality cat food. This diet suits him fine. And is tasty. Recommended!

My cat has always been a picky eater, but 8 months ago he'd lost 27% of his body weight (and he was skinny to start with) and had no energy just sleeping all of the time. The vet put him onto Hills I/D and he has eaten it for 6 months now. He's recovered his original weight and also now gained more strength, happy and playful again. He won't eat anything else, but he seems to get everything he needs from this. Definitely recommend this food.

I swear by this product, I have a cat who was stray that I took on and obviously ate a lot of crap on the streets and left him with an extremely sensitive tummy and would vomit after I fed him.I put him on this along with an antacid and he is so much better, I feed him a sensitivity wet food too and his motion is good, vomiting is at a minimum and it's all thanks to this food.Highly recommend for cats with upset tummies.

This was recommended by the vet for a cat with digestive problems. Hard to say whether it's improved his digestion but it appears to be the same as the stuff the vet sells but cheaper and the cat tucks in enthusiastically so can't complain. The other cat without digestive problems would always rather scoff this stuff than his own cheaper food too, so it must be tasty. A bit pricy but no waste.

Amazing stuff! My cat was pretty much on deaths door, with severe stomach masses after going missing for four days. My vet advised her to start this cat food and see if she pulls through. It's 6 months on now and she's better than ever, very healthy, happy, gorgeous coat and recovered quickly to a perfect weight again. Highly recommend for cats with sensitive stomachs and stomach illness

Really the best product even if you want to change the food just needs to little of this food for a while and will avoid any kinda side effects that could be when you change the food or it’s great for diarrhoea stops in just 2 days when you give this food even good for cats who vomit stops from that aswell I could say it’s magical food swear to god worth every penny!
