Jellybean was extremely overweight and had been having trouble grooming so we needed to do something. On the vets advice we put her on weight reduction food - strictly measured. She has very slowly started losing the extra weight, we were warned it would take a long time. She seems to like the food, she also has a pouch of wet food a day (half morning, half evening) just as a treat. Would highly recommend, but don't expect superfast results. We also use microchip pet feeders so she can't get into the others food!

Hills prescription rd has been great in short term reduction of weight in my slightly overweight black domestic shorthair. For my substantially overweight ginger dsh, who was eating other cats' food we are using hills metabolic which is not currently available online but you an get it from your vet or specialist vet prescription sites, it doesn't need a prescription

I have an overweight moggy & the vet put him on these biscuits. There was only one problem, I had to get taxis to & from the vets, with such a huge bag! Buying them from Amazon works out so much cheaper & Milo continues to lose weight. Milo loves the taste & my other cats want to know why they can't have them, too!

Excellent product and good value for the large size.My cat has been eating these Hills prescription r/d biscuits for years but having recently moved back to the UK from France I found that I couldn't buy them at my Veterinary Surgery.Excellent quick delivery. Highly recommend product and seller.

Our six cats have been on this food for a long time and it certainly has aided weight maintenance - all I would add is that the price here is very high, nearly as expensive as my vet! Have a look at Pets at Home where I now buy from; currently around £33 with free, and fast, delivery.
