This is utterly brilliant! We have a large moggy with short, fine incredibly dense hair. He sheds like there's no tomorrow - even stroking him brings off clouds of floaters. We'd tried various deshedders in the past, but even though he loves being brushed, he hated them - too harsh. Recently he's been diagnosed with CKD and occasionally overgrooms due to itching. We got this as he'd been sicking up furballs every day. It's phenomenal! The amount of fur that came off was astounding. He absolutely loves it too. We don't use it every day - just the recommended twenty mins twice a week. But really there's no need for more. Regular brushing in between brings off negligible amounts of fur now - stroking too.Our cat is old, 17+, and has lost weight due to the CKD so I worried it might be harsh for him but he's absolutely fine. It's the first deshedder I've found that works and he finds enjoyable. Can't recommend highly enough!

It does the job. I got it because my cat is so fat she couldn't groom the base of her tail. Her back was twitching she was so uncomfortable from all the dead skin and grease. While she's on a diet, I got her this to help. She doesn't normally like being touched, but using this on her she just stared at me awkwardly with glazed eyes and drooled, which was surprising. She really enjoyed it haha. She stopped twitching after a day, so is more comfortable.I did find it a little awkward to use, I wish I had gotten a bigger one or something. The guards on the side are good, so it doesnt dig down too far, but that leaves this tiny surface area in the middle of the brush to pick up the undercoat.I have used other brushes without the guards and found them easier to use. That's my only negetive point. I think I could have got more fur out more quickly if there was no guards or the brush was bigger.

Don't be worried about the price of this product because after the first use on your pet it will have paid for itself. Not only in your pet's wellbeing but also your time saved in grooming your pet.We adopted a cat from my sister in law as she was moving home so we took the cat in. The cat was never an outdoor cat so when she arrived here she wanted to venture outside. As she is a long hair cat this started to cause some issues with mats in her fur after her rolling around in the crass and just standing in the wind and occasional rain when running between shelters. Anyway, we had combs in the past which proved after using this to be useless. The best thing about this product is if you can gently persevere on any larger mats or knots and us this gently after a couple of days it will loosen the fur and big chunks will come out and give your pet the relief they deserve.

I’ve gone through many different iterations of grooming products for my Norweigan Forest Cat to no avail. I usually have him groomed but current situation means that’s not going to happen. I’ve eyes this for a while but the price point wasn’t worth it, until he started MOLTING. So I caved. He actually loved being groomed and I’m pretty sure I got all of his shedding winter coat. If I just keep at it I’m willing to wager I won’t have to make biannual trips to the groomers.... which I guess makes this item cost effective after all. If you’re on the fence get off and buy it. You won’t regret it.

About a month ago, I got a long-haired cat. I've been brushing her daily with a brush I already had, and it was indeed pulling hair off, but I was still seeing cat hair everywhere (she's white so it's really conspicuous), and clouds of hair would go flying every time she scratched herself. So, I got this thing. Figured if it didn't remove any more hair than the brush I'd been using, I'd just return it, no harm done. The first brushing removed enough loose hair from my cat to make a ball the size of my fist.If you're dubious, and wondering whether this is worth getting, I would say yes.

I ordered this as a last resort. Our cats hate to be brushed, clippers are terrifying for them, so I needed to find something different. I was thinking about buying this product for some time. Always ended up buying something cheaper and useless. This product is amazing. Freya is still fussy but after 2-3 min session I got out so much hair and I am really impressed. It does what it says on the box. Her coat is so much better after short brushing session. As you can see she is a big and hairy cat. I would really recommend this product. It is a good quality and worth every penny.

Product arrived on time, well packaged. Sturdy and well made. Only been using it for 2 days...Cat was apprehensive at first, not sure if she liked it but allowed the brushing. Got a HUGE amount the first day. Last night and this morning, another 5 minute session each, getting the amounts shown in the pic... and this morning she ASKED to be brushed, purred the whole way through. BRILLIANT.Only doing short sessions now so she doesn't fatigue, but I think next year if we start stripping her coat when "shedding season" starts well be able to keep ahead of the fluff storm!

It actually skims the surface of the coat rather than digging deep. Compared with nit comb type of cat combs this slides over the surface rather than dragging and hitting mats. In this respect you can get more loose fur out with less complaints. Covering a bigger area where normally you have to stop. The device renders loose fluffy fur rather than it being embedded on the comb. Click action to remove it from the comb. You end up with a lot of loose fluff to dispose off. I then brush him when finished. Treats are then served to make it all worthwhile for him.

Arrived yesterday afternoon. tried on my cat yesterday. was ok when she was eating. after that she went nuts. growled at me. tried to bite and scratch me.today I tried again while she was eating and was fine. a bit growly. conb works brilliant tho. pulls out lots of loose fur. she is a very fluffy coat and after getting her first but knot last week i know i had to keep ontop of her fur. just hope she gets used to being groomed as I'm full of scratches eeek. The photo is the next day when I groomed again as I couldnt do it properly first day.

Used a few times now on my 3 indoor British blue Shorthair cats - which permanently shed hair!! I am absolutely thrilled with this item! It really does go under their coats and rake up the undergrowth... Even the one cat that normally doesn't like grooming, has allowed me to fully comb him with this! Since using, I'm yet to find another clump of hair around and overall 90% less cat hair to be seen!! It was recommended to me by my dog walker friend - best thing ever for my cats and my home!! Fantastic beyond I'd imagined!! ?

Very easy to use and effective. Used for ragdoll cats who where happy to sit and allow me to groom them for a while. Removed loads or excess hair. Bought after struggling to keep on top of cat hair these past couple of weeks due to excess shedding cycle this time of year. Been hoovering multiple times a day and having to brush sofa and floors constantly so hoping this will cut back on this a bit. Only delivered today and used but removed much more tyranny standard grooming brushes I’ve been using previous to this arriving.

It took a couple of tries to get the pressure right; too light and it doesn’t remove any hair. Purchased because even after normal brushing one of my cats, she would still have problems with fur balls nearly every day. After using this brush for a couple of weeks, she has only been sick a couple of times instead of every day. So far it has been worth the money. Even though it has been designed like razor, it is not as easy to hold as my previous hair brush which fitted in the palm of my hand because cats are so fidgety

My cat has been anti-brush since we adopted her. Today I am an embarrassingly pleased cat mum having successfully brushed my cat whilst she purred throughout and even rolled over to have her other side done. Bit of background, our cat is a lap cat, she loves attention, tickles etc but a brush. Could never get near her. So either this brush is just the magic brush or she just decided today was the day that she enjoyed a salon experience. My guess is the brush as it is quite different from your standard ones.

The first time my cat has allowed me to brush her properly - she has objected to every other brush or comb that I tried. I thought I'd try the smaller head first, as, although my cat is more than 4.5kg, she's quite compact. On the basis of her favourable reaction to this comb, I also ordered the large version for short-haired cats (according to the product recommendation) as I think that I might be tempted to over groom with the small one. Hopefully the hairball occurrence will be reduced...

Over the past 30 years I have always had cats. When my elderly cat began shedding excessively, I bought so many differnt brushes, silicone gloves, etc but as soon as I brushed him, he'd shed .... literally as soon as I'd given him a good brush I'd stroke him and fur would build up on his back. But the furminator has reduced my boy from a plump to normal size cat. It's amazing. It really does get into the undercoat. And I've brushed the size of a cat in fur.I can't recommend strongly enough.
