I can actually RUN in these with perfect comfort and ease. Really GREAT boots. I love the fit, they fit me perfectly, with a pair of thin socks, I don't want to stretch the fit with a pair of thick socks as the leather is pliable and soft. They are so beautiful and lovely and perfect and awesome. I really want to get some more MOL2 Chukka boots with the ridged sole (I am so glad they have changed the design from the dots sole, which I thought was a little childish looking, and these new ridged soles are so good to walk in.) Keep them clean, look after them, maybe rub a bit of soft coloured leather cream into them now and again (which I intend to do), and you will love these boots. Yes,the tongue occasionally slips to one side, but hold it in place when you are putting them on and It's not a big deal. If you really want, you could put a stitch or two in to keep the tongues in place (*use a thick needle and embroidery thread for this). I like the height of them, they fit snugly around the ankle giving a streamlined look. Keep up the good work, Fly, and don't go out of business! One thing I found about Doc Martens is that they kept discontinuing boot styles that I really fell for - e..g the Air Wear boots with patterned inners, which were perfect, and another style I have which are so cool but can't find them anymore for sale. It seems wierd that boot companies would discontinue clearly successful models. I sure do hope that Fly takes the upper hand and continues its successful boot models, because when one pair wears out, I for one will be buying another.

I'm thrilled with my Fly boots in purple they are the best purchase I've made all year. They were delivered really quickly arriving a day early. I absolutely love the design of the boot, the buckles give them a special and quirky look and I adore the little flies on the sole and the back of the heel. The boots have a zip so you can put them on easily but the buckles are fully functional if you need to loosen or tighten them to the size of your leg which is great bonus if you want to wear them with tights or jeans. The soles are really thick so they will last for plenty of winters and they have a cut out at the back ( where you would normally wear them down) which makes walking in them feel really easy for thick boots,they definitely don't drag you down. The leather is thick and soft to keep you warm through the colder season ( although they'll look fab all year round ) and even though I've had them on all afternoon straight from the box my feet aren't rubbed or sore. not one blister!!!Buying them from Amazon was the cheapest price I found and I hunted all over the internet so I feel like a got a bargain and they are well worth the money, it's an investment as I wont need new boots for a long time. Treat yourself they really are SUPER FLY!!

These boots are simply fabulous! They look amazing, are clearly well made and I love the colour - a vibrant red, which makes me smile and is worthy of the compliments I have received from friends.I have given them 4 stars for comfort, only because I suffer with painful feet and no shoe will ever rate a five out of five for me. Despite this, I have worn these boots for hours at a time and I am sure that as the leather continues to soften they will become my go-to footwear this year.I was slightly dubious about buying without trying on first (owing to my painful feet), but the fit is true to size. My ankles and calves fit nicely within the fresh-from-the-box buckle setting,but owing to there being three buckles these could be easily adjusted to fit different widths if necessary.I have not owned a pair of Fly boots before, and I love the way that the sole on the heel is angled, meaning that walking in these boots does not feel 'clunky' at all.Hopefully, these will turn into a good investment (I wouldn't normally spend this much on a pair of boots) as they feel like they are built to last.

I've owned a few pairs of fly boots over the years, and have always been impressed with the quality. These were bought to replace my old black mes boots I bought 5 years ago.I bought both the Purple and the Green colour as couldn't make up my mind, and had £75 worth of vouchers which nearly paid for one, so decided to go for it.So glad I did. The Purple is a very nice shade of Aubergine/Burgundy, and the Green are a simply stunning Green colour, much nicer than in the pictures.Fit wise, I'm a size 6, with skinny ankles and feet, and there is lots of room as expected from experience, but with a thick pair of socks (which I always wear) they fit well,so I recommend getting your regular size for most people.As usual Amazon were the cheapest place to buy them. Nearly £70 off the Green pair, and almost £50 off the Purple.These might still seem expensive, but they will last a good few years and more, especially if protected by a good leather conditioner. (I used immediately to waterproof and protect from scratches, as these mark easily otherwise)Definitely a good investment.

These boots, if they'd been correctly made, would have been absolutely beautiful - quite stunning. Unfortunately I came across a dud pair and the tongue was twisted to the side on the left boot and disappeared round my leg as I walked. Very unusual for Fly London footwear to be faulty but if you want a spectacular, conversation-starting pair of boots - get some. I doubt if they are all dodgy - probably one pair in a million and I unfortunately got them! They are quite close fitting and would look equally good with skinnies, leggings or even wide legged pants and bare legs. Don't be put off by my faulty pair as I'm sure they're not all like that. In-fact,I've never come across a bad pair of Fly shoes or boots before and it pains me to write this review but there's no point in lying. Am thinking about sending for some more as they were so nice - no way can there be two wonky pairs out there! Also, I might add, the seller did not hesitate to refund me the full amount and couldn't have been more kind or helpful when I told them I would be returning them.

Colour is gorgeous. A deep green.The leather has been made to look darker in certain places such as the toes, a sort of ditressed look without looking tatty.The buckles work so you can adjust the width whilst wearing the leather in.The tongues do slip slightly towards the outside of my legs but not too far and dont cause me any discomfort.The unusual shape to the sole where it curves at the back and front seems to help because the sole isn't bendy, not sure how to explain but it helps you walk better in them.The toe box is nice and wide.Lots of compliments on these.I did need to wear them in for 2 days by loosening the buckles and leaving the zip part way up...after that they have been perfect.I love them and bought another pair of the same brand in a different style. I think Scop may be my favourite.

I bought my boots originally for £120 which I have just returned and ordered another pair at the current price of  £85.26 which is a considerable difference.Ordered a pair of Black Black in size 4.  I have always worn Doctor Martens but fancied a change and these are a nice style.   The sizing is correct and you shouldn't need to go up or down a size.   In the past I have (depending on the brand) bought 4.5 mainly for the width but these are fine. Very comfortable and didn't need to be worn in.Very happy with my purchase especially as I have saved £34.74 so do keep an eye on the price if you are thinking about getting  a pair.

First time buying Fly London boots and they're so comfortable. I have slim legs and slight bunions on my feet so struggle to find boots that fit, however these are perfect. I'm a size UK 8 and this is what I bought. Ive worn my boots to work (in an office) and usually go half hour walk at lunchtime and they fit like a glove, although they did rub slightly below right ankle bone first time I wore them. I didn't need to break them in prior to wearing outside. I've only worn them when weather dry or showers so far, so can't comment how they'll be in heavy rain or snow and ice. Expensive but you're paying for quality that will last.

Got these as I can't find anything knee high without laces and need winter boots. Fly always fit me well and I have high insteps and fat calves! These reach just blow my calf muscle. The leather is thick but soft like all Fly footwear. They were instantly comfortable when I put them on. The 3 buckles are adjustable to a small degree. The boots are pretty heavy duty and will be my winter ones. I'd be very surprised if you can fit even skinny jeans inside the ankle but they look great with skirts / thick tights / leggings anyway. I'm sure these are going to last a long while. Plus nearly £40 off on Amazon! Bargain!!!!

Lovely comfortable boot, not too heavy. I normally take a 6.5 but I bought a 7 and they fit fine. They are great if you are slightly more curvy around your lower leg, like myself and they are not tight across the foot so quite a wide-ish fit. If you have narrow feet or legs they may possibly be a bit loose. The leather is nice and supple so no 'wearing in' issues. I can't comment on whether they are waterproof as I've not worn them in rain. The colour I bought is petrol blue and it's lovely, better than dreary black or brown. They are quite pricey but I'm hoping they will last. I would buy again.

I love these boots, really love them, they are comfortable and look fabulous and wear with anything HOWEVER the tongues slip and this is really irritating. Even if I am not walking loads I stand up and they have slipped which is ever so disappointing.I remember reading ages ago about the problem with the tongues but had totally forgotten until mine did it.FLY London please address this issue, it is such a shame when you are spending this amount on a pair of what could be the perfect boot.

I bought these in both the red and the black. I am absolutely thrilled with both of them. The Amazon fit thing suggested a size 7, which I ignored, and I bought a 6 in both, which is my usual Fly size. I'm a 6.5 generally. The red is a beautiful colour. It's rich and dark but definitely red. The black is classic and has a lovely shine. They are instantly comfortable. They are slightly longer than ankle but nowhere near calf length. I'm delighted.

Love the colour and the fit of the boots, but (there's always but!) the tongue works it's way around to the side, leaving my socks/tights visible between the straps. I've tried loosening them off, tightening them up, but the tongue still continues to do it's own thing, they's have been a 5 star rating otherwise. I think I'll take them to the cobblers and see if they can sew the tongue in place. Other than the tongue I can't fault the boots.

My last pair of Fly boots were so good, that when I finally needed to replace them I looked no further than at another pair of Fly. I am not disappointed. They fit beautifully and look good. I would say that they are very narrow so if you are larger in the ankle/calf you may struggle to do the zip up. I haven't noticed an issue with the tongue at the moment as other reviewers have, but not worn for long yet. Overall an excellent boot.

These boots are incredible quality waxy leather and a perfect fit for my size 7 D fit feet!I have a large calf, and a high instep but the 3 adjustable buckles means I can tailor these perfectly.They look a lot more red in the picture than they actually are - they're a true burgundy/purple.I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a stylish winter boot - they're worth every penny.
