Ok, so sizing is the main concern when looking for a pair of Docs. Me and my three daughters all wear a size 7 shoe (occasionally a 6.5 depending on the shoe) however the 7 in these is too large and the 6 is almost too small. I would give anything if they would make half sizes in these. Anyway, we decided the 6 was better in length even though they were tight. I agree with another reviewer that these boots are particularly tight across the top of the foot where the tongue meets the shoe. I have a high arch and noticed it considerably more than my daughters that have no arch. So if you are flat footed this may not be as big of an issue. So we got the 6 and I read up on different ways of stretching and decided to go with filling ziplock bags with water and stuffing them in the boots and freezing them overnight. This did help expand the boot for initial wearing but it took her about a month of wearing them to get them good and broken in. Now she wears them about everyday. She loves them. So this was all based on my older daughters experience. This pair was purchased for her younger sister and hopefully they will be just as great for her! Hope this helps!

An odd title to a review? yes. But in all seriousness, these boots will probably last longer than I will. They are made very well and the color... DRESS BLUES is gorgeous! I put them on and they were a bit tight and remember of course you will be wanting to wear thick socks with these so i definitely suggest going up a size. Its far easier to fix a shoe that is too big than too small - i read some reviews where people were saying they were hurting their feet - well, yes, they will at first, dont most shoes? You have to break them in so I do suggest wearing them an hour here and an hour there and build up to all day or take a spare pair of shoes along with you if you are trekking in to work.I expected them to be heavier but they are exactly the weight they should be for the type of boot they are. I highly recommend them, i can't wait to wear them in the rain and snow! I shall be buying a few other pairs in different colors of course. Also, was very happy with the ease of ordering through amazon - finding my size in Dress Blues was difficult but Amazon pulled through and I paid a few bucks more for Saturday delivery and everything went smooth.

Perhaps had I stuck with the 6's they'd have stretched a little, or my feet would have moved about a bit and my toes wouldn't have been so near the end/ uncomfortable. There must be many customers who need a 6.5 in Dr Martens, quite annoying they don't seem to provide it.However, the boots looked good, very nice quality, smooth leather, nice and unusual deep red colour. If you think you like the image, and believe you'll fit in one of their sizes, then I'd recommend. The returns service is excellent here, and totally free at a collect+ store, so if you want very much to try and not feel obliged to buy here is a very good place to do so. Plus the price is great!I'm not quite sure I could pull of a pair of lace up Dr Martens sadly! I think that the women's 6, such as the Pascals, is smaller than a unisex 6. And these aren't quite as stiff as the unisex ones, to my eye anyway!Worth a try! I have just ordered a different type of Dr Marten boot and hope they'll fit, they look like they're waterproof, will last, and will look great with the right stuff. But truly I just love the soles. Good luck!

At first I ordered a size 4 (my usual Dr Marten size) but the bridge was so tight on one of my feet I could hardly put that boot on and very snug on the other (I suspect that one foot of mine is slightly larger than the other by a quarter or half size) . I exchanged the boots for a size 5 and now they feel great. Really pleased with the robust quality. The leather is slightly softer than the 1460's but not to the point of being flimsy - still robust and as thick but just with a bit more give. I also bought a pair of 1460's at the same time in my usual size 4 and they fit perfectly so this is perhaps a good indicator of the sizing??I have fairly wide feet but that isn't a problem with the 5's or was a problem with my one slightly smaller foot in the 4's. So I guess that if you have feet that are slightly larger than a size then go for the next size up due to the tight bridge!!

I love Dr Marten boots and so does my daughter. I have just ordered her second pair of boots in dark blue. They are an early Christmas present for my daughter. Since I moved to Bangkok she has been hounding me to order her boots, so I did yesterday. They are a great boot to wear and they last forever. I still have my first pair of black DM's which I bought over twenty five years ago and they're still going strong. When I first bought them I put a smearing of dubbing on them, which gave them a fantastic shine. This was the only time I ever used any form of polish or protector, you still can see your face in them.Just to let you know, they are a very comfortable boot, but you do need a decent pair of socks.Don't try to go out with anything less, you will have blisters galore. But enjoy, they are well worth the money.

I am a 6.5 and bought 6.5 and they fit nicely. They come up smaller than regular DMs as they are the slimmer more tailored cut. At first I thought they might be too narrow at the toe but people told me that Docs kind of spread out with use and this has been the case. You might want to buy regular DMs if you have wide feet.Being the kind of girl who climbs fences and scrabbles through play equipment I quickly scuffed my pretty boots ( within a week). I've lost quite a lot of blue from the toes. I might have been better off with regular doc martens as I don't remember them scuffing so easily. I fit a 6 in a regular DM.Update: I've worn them a lot for over 2 years now - using blue shoe polishonce in a while- they don't look pristine but they're good enough and still going strong!

I bought these as a winter shoe, having never owned DM's before. I went to a store and tried some on and they told me they come up a bit small. Im usually a size 6 or 6.5 depending on the shop but I got a size 6 but after I wore them a frew times, the soft leather has stretched a bit and they are now a little roomy - enough to wear thick socks underneath but not so big that my feet slide around. My boyfriend has the normal DMs and his are taking ages to wear in but these are really comfy (a bit tight at first but after 4 or 5 wears they almost mould to your feet)My only issue is that they make my feet look a bit big which is an insecurity of mine even though I have an average size foot!My personal problem and not with the shoe. (mostly) v. happy with my purchase

As a wearer of Doc Martens for the past decade or so i thought id try some thinner leather docs, they do not disappoint. with the classic 1941 style doc martens I usually find they take a dozen or so wears to break in enough not to be awfully painful. however due to the thinner softer leather this is not the case with the pascal boot. they are comfy from the get go. the texture of the leather is great and overall look amazing and not as large and thick as the classic docs. I don't think these will last anywhere near the time of the thicker boots but I don't think its the point with these. I would always wear thick socks with any docs. but overall amazing boots.

These arrived super fast which is amazing considering I live in Amsterdam. The DMs were not as rigid as i was expecting so at first I wasn't sure if I'd ordered the right type. But as soon as I put them on I fell in love. They are really soft and comfortable, therefore slightly more feminine (which suits me because I am petite) yet still have that classic DM look. They take a while to put on and lace up because the leather on the upper part is so floppy. But that's not really a big problem. I'm a size 5.5, these are a 5 and fit perfectly. The boots are black and have more of a matt finish than the traditional shiny, chunkier versions.

I love these shoes although I have had some issues about size etc. I am a thin size 7 shoe normally, however i always have problems with sizin and sometimes end up needing smaller sizes. I tried size 7 and found it very big, i then tried 6.5 which fitted right but with the wearing in and stretching i thought it best to buy a size 6. I wore them for 2 weeks and they fit amazingly now. It was painful at first but now they are moulded to my feet size. Great shoes, and easy to clean and indestructible! Dm's are definitely wore the money, just get the right size first!

Was a little nervous about ordering these without trying them on first after reading the reviews, I’ve never worn DMs before and these were to replace an old pair of Timberlands. However, decided to go for it and I’m pleased I did! They fit perfectly, a bit tight across the top of my foot, though I expected this, as with most leather boots, they need to soften up a bit with a bit of wear. The colour is gorgeous, I wanted something different to the normal brown boots I usually go for, they go surprisingly well with most of my wardrobe! ??

This is my first pair of Dr martens. While I was waiting for my delivery, I had been to the store and checked out the colour and the style. The store was out of stock with this particular design, but had other similar ones in navy blue. When I received mine,I have to tell you I was very impressed with this pair as the colour was just what I was looking for. The boots are generally comfy and I have prayed some protector all over. I am gonna wear them at home for a few days just to break them in, so that I will not suffer from blistering.

30.5.2013

These are a slightly streamlined version of the traditional DM boot - but broadly the same overall. One of the few differences is that the leather is softer so they need less breaking in. They are a snug fit but not so much that I needed the next size down. I really love them, they are such good quality - so sturdy and reliable. I'm really tempted to buy the purple ones too - and you can't get a better recommendation than that! Now where did I put my credit card...

I absolutely love these boots! There are so comfy and I wear them all the time. They only took one day of wearing them to work to break in which is a lot shorter than all my other pairs of docs. I also love the colour of the laces against the colour of the boots. At the start I wore them with think socks so stop blistering but now they’re worn in I can just wear them with tights and they don’t hurt at all. I loved these boots so much I bought them again in Blue.
