I ordered these with prime wardrobe to try at home. The other pairs of boots I selected were more 'functional' in that they were snow boots with various waterproofing and so on. I was also trying to find something that looked good enough to wear every day with jeans, but also that would keep my feet dry and warm through the worst of a wet Glaswegian winter. These boots, I think, are up to the task.I often buy supermarket or high street fashion brands of shoes. Perhaps this goes without saying but the difference in quality is noticeable. The leather Fly use appears to be thicker and of really good quality, and the ridged sole looks sturdy and safe- Im sure the boots will keep me upright through the worst of the snow or ice!In terms of style, if 10 was Kendall Kardashian and 1 was the Queen Mum, this particular pair of boots would score about a 6 or 7- not cutting edge fashion but far removed from nursing home chic.Sometimes with Chelsea boots, it can be hard to get the opening of the shoe to stretch enough to accommodate your foot; not so with these. The elastic on both sides of the boot is thick and durable seeming, yet has plenty of give to make putting them on easy.I haven't yet told you about my feet- skinny sparrow ankles but painful bunions on my toes mean I need ordinary fit shoes but with a wide toe box- these boots oblige. That might sound unremarkable but anyone else who experiences this knows that this particular combination is hard to come by. Usually I have to buy wide fit just to avoid the gnawing pain in my big toe but those kind of shoes often look like clodhoppers on me, gaping around the ankle. So. Fly boots definitely a good buy for anyone with the same issues. As for fit in general, the boots do feel securely fitted to my feet yet have room for thick, cosy socks if you need to add a bit of insulation.Amazon was also the best price by far for this style, so that was a great saving compared to other retailers. It was definitely more than I normally pay for a pair of boots but I can see these lasting 4 times as long as a pair of boots half the price so definitely a good investment.

Fly London Salv Rug, Women's Chelsea Boots - BlackThese boots come up to Fly London's usual high quality, comfort and style standards. The stylish boots have a slight wedge heel for added lift without sacrificing comfort. However, the leather is slightly shiny and the boots squeak when you walk (I've worn these with several different types of socks and still the squeak). They also come up very slightly large, so I'd suggest trying them on in the shops to see if they fit your feet.=== THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT ===* Stylish black Chelsea boot design that's sturdy without being clunky* Comfortable soft leather with a thick cushioned soles that can be worn for a long time without tiring the feet* There's a slight wedge heel, giving you a bit of extra height (or leg length) without putting strain on your feet or low back* Perfect leather and stitching; these are high quality boots=== NIGGLES ===* The leather on these black boots is quite shiny, which doesn't show in the online listing photo; I didn't expect them to be matte, but I didn't think they'd be quite so shiny* There's no tag on the back of the ankle to pull the boots on, which means you have to pull them on by slipping your fingers into the tight boots* The design is a bit bland, with no detailing around the foot, meaning they do look a bit like wellie boots* The boots make a funny squeaking noise when you walk; perhaps this will ease off as the boots get more worn in* Fly London footwear sizes seem to vary from style to style, so you really need to try them on in a shop before buying; this style seems to come up very slightly largeFor sale at the time of writing this review at £85.

Let me preface this review by saying that I hate wearing proper shoes. Luckily, I can get away with wearing ergonomic sandals 90% of the time. However, I’m gearing up for a trip that will require actual footwear. So I’ve been on the hunt for “real” shoes that can handle lots of walking.I wear a size 11 or 11.5 women’s. Most independent charts show this as size 43 EU. And I am definitely comfortable in size 43–it’s usually perfect. However, a lot of European shoe companies equate an 11 and 11.5 to 42. Fly London is one of them. Unsurprisingly, I find most of their close-toed shoes in 42 (which is usually the largest size they offer) overly constricting. But not these. The size 42 fits me really well. Also, the front half of my foot is medium bordering on wide. While the shoes are a tiny bit tighter in some places than I would prefer (bearing in mind that I hate any reminder at all that I am wearing shoes), they are definitely tolerable out of the box, and I can tell that they will stretch as needed in no time at all.Because of issues with my Achilles‘ tendons, my shoes require some heel height. I think this has enough heel to accommodate that problem. And the soles and insoles felt really comfortable to me out of the box, but I went ahead and replaced the insoles with my custom Superfeet, and the beds feel perfect.Bottom line, this is not the shoe for narrow feet, but if you have medium-wide feet and hate wearing shoes (like me), give these a shot. You might be pleasantly surprised. That being said, you may want to order a half-size (or 1 EU size) down.

I had originally set out to get a pair of Blundstones having been told they were comfortable and workhorses by friends that swore by them but in reading some of the unfavorable reviews and then really looking at the few styles they had, I just couldn’t justify paying that much for a boot I was not completely in love with.So onward with the research and here pops up the Fly London Salv boots. I’ve always liked the look of their wedge sandals, kind of retro-y and different than other sandals out there. What caught my eye with these boots was the signature wedge and the fact that it came in so many different colors! Plus, here on Amazon the price was half the cost of the Blundstones!I normally wear size 6 1/2 US and 37 in European sizes.I got the 37 in red. I am soooo happy I got them! They do run a tad on the loose side which is good for me because I have bunions on both feet. When I wore them with thinner socks though my feet moved around a bit and squeaked! Lol. I wear them now with thicker socks and they’re perfect! So comfortable, I wore them all day and never felt like I had to kick them off.The other thing is the color is so great too. I like pops of color and the red is just right. Not too bright to look fake and plastic and not so dark that they look burgundy or wine.I highly recommend them! Stylish and comfortable for a great price! I am considering another pair in a different color I love them so much!

I’ve been coveting Fly boots for years and so when I was given some vouchers recently it was a great opportunity to treat myself and perfect timing with the change of season. They are really lovely boots - anyone swithering a bit because of the cost of Fly products, don’t worry - it is very obvious they are worth it, feel really substantial and I’m sure will last well.On the other hand, I wish I’d done more ‘real life’ research, trying on different Fly designs in a store - because if I’m honest I’m slightly disappointed with the particular design for my own personal taste - but I stress this is not a product fault, but mine! The toe shape is less almond than the pictures suggest, and more of a squared effect. And like some others have mentioned, the size 5 definitely on the large side for me (I have added chunky insoles which definitely help). Although the elastic at the ankle is fine after a few wears I can also understand some other comments I’ve read which suggest it might start to ‘curl’ - I think this is because the ankle opening is quite wide rather than snug. Mine are definitely not showing any curling. To be honest none of the above will put me off wearing these, and wearing them lots! - but these are kind of investment purchases so I wanted to review these so that people can weigh the comments up alongside those from others.

I love these ankle boots - they look and feel really substantial but are not heavy which is great. A really good rubber sole with ridges - not the sort of annoying tank treads that pick up every small stone you walk over. The slightly built up heel adds to the comfort of the boots, and they are definitely the most comfortable ones I have ever owned. I have searched for ages for a good pair of ankle boots but they all seem to be either far too heavy, made of inferior material (or many of them are suede which inevitably marks very quickly) or they have maddening zips. These have elastic panels that stretch easily to get your foot in and unless you have a very high instep they are no trouble to get into.I love this "purple" colour - I think I would have called it burgundy rather than purple but it will go with everything. They are also very good value. I am hoping these will last me for a long time.

This is the second pair of these particular boots I have bought due to the comfort and longevity of the first. They are my most worn item of footwear by far and I really am only replacing them as they are now looking a bit lived in and I want another pair that looks a bit smarter. I have had the current pair for about 4 years . I bought the first pair in Schuh and this pair were about £20 cheaper to buy on here, so I was worried they may be be fake, but they are the real deal and come in the authentic Fly London box. In 4 years my current pair have never needed resoled despite regular wearing. They are sturdy and warm. Would definitely recommend. From a comfort perspective they tend to mould into your feet the longer you wear them .They are a bit on the generous size , I am a 5 1/2 but a 5 fits me fine. I didn't even bother trying an alternative boot before purchasing them again.

Cool and comfortable aren't words you usually find together when discribing style, but Fly London are thevexception!I wanted a pair of boots that would last a while for work. In my job I'm on my feet all day, and can walk an average of 7 miles a day.I had just worn out yet another pair of boots at work, lasting me 5 months before they had large holes in the soles! So when i came across these Fly London Chelsea boots with thick soles, which looked cool and durable, and with tons of 5 star reviews! I had to get myself a pair.Ive waited 2 weeks to place my review, as i wanted to wear them a while to see how they held up and to see if they were comfortable.Well i can honestly say they are the best boots for comfort and style I've ever bought and I've been knocking around for a while lol.I will definitely be buying more from Fly, thats for sure.

I bought the lace long lace up version of Fly boots and loved them so I bought the shorter Samefly boots and these to compare which were better. In the end I kept both pairs and now have three pairs of Flys that I live in all week. Absolute comfort and style. They go with everything From dresses and tights to skinnies and my straight cut or bootleg jeans. Fit is perfect for my size 7 (EU 40) feet. I tend to be wide across the toe but have a narrow heel. These are comfortable without being roomy and don’t squash my feet anywhere or rub at all.I wear them out in the rain as I live on the Scottish Borders and they haven’t leaked at all. So as a fashionable leather boot of exceptional comfort,I highly recommend them.

I now own five pairs of fly London boots in various styles and colours.. they are brilliant value for excellent quality boots .which offer fabulous support for my high arches. I can wear for hours and walk all day with absolutely no pain or discomfort .leather is great quality. I do have rather odd shaped feet..narrow at the heal and square toes. These boots are just absolutely perfect fit for my feet.the only very small complaint is a tab, at heel to help pull them on would be very beneficial .as when first wore them they were a little difficult to put on ( I’ve had back surgery which doesn’t help) but over time it has got easier.. will no doubt purchase yet another style and colour!!!

These boots were delivered within one day of ordering, fantastic! ? I tried these boots on and just new that they were gonna be the best boots I've bought in a long time. They're true to size, I bought a size 7 and they fit perfectly & there's a little room for thick socks! ? Trying my boots on felt like my feet were stepping into soft boot heaven.?I wore these boots to work, they are so comfortable I felt like I could literally sleep in them! ? I love these boots, I'm about to purchase another pair in a different colour. I would 1000% recommend these boots, they're stylish beautiful soft leather & very very comfortable and kind to ones feet! I give 5 * plus! Thank you! ?

My usual shoe size is 7.5 or 38, however after reading previous reviews I decided to purchase 37 and the boots fit perfectly. I live in Los Angeles and rarely wear thick socks; I think that 38 would be best for anybody who is 7.5 and would use a thick sock. The boots themselves are very attractive and so very comfortable. The leather is soft and supple and the grey/greenish sole creates a nice contrast with the main body of the boot. I have not worn them in the rain, but they appear to have nice traction. I received my boots four days after the order was placed. I am very happy with my purchase. This is my second pair of FLY shoes - love the quality and the aesthetic.

Nice sturdy well made boots. Comfortable as ever for Fly London. I am a size 4 in length but I have wide feet and the beginnings of bunions, so tend to buy a 5. I was pleased that the 5's accommodated the width. At first I thought the boots looked a bit like police boots or uniform type boots, (I think the Chelsea style would look better in brown or a more funky colour, but I needed black to go with certain things). However I was relieved to find that with a bit of wear and natural 'creasing' the boots don't look so 'big' and uniform like. So often shoes let you down in the soles, but I really like the style of these slighly wedged, jagged soles.

Great boots and absolutely love the colour. These are the 3rd pair of Fly boots I've bought and they're all really good quality and fit. I'm a size 9 and I've noticed a few people comment on the fit. For me, they're fine but all 3 boots vary a little depending on the style - these are by far the roomiest - but the leather is such good quality that they have all moulded and stretched to suit my foot. It is just so nice being able to buy snazzy looking, funky footwear with such a large foot - and at a reasonable price.Would heartily recommend. Now the only problem I have is working out which will be pair number 4.

I have two other pairs of Fly boots, a black pair which I purchased 8+ years ago, the only thing wrong with them is the sole is wearing a little thin! I purchased an olive calf length pair 2 years ago, then these in green this week. They are top quality boots and granted they are not waterproof, but are not described as such. The fit of my most recent pair is spot on and the color is gorgeous, I wasn't quite sure if they would be slightly more of a blue/green from the 'petrol' description but they are definitely green! Really pleased, I would recommend these boots to anyone, they will last for years.
