This is my second Faber Castell clutch pencil and I will be buying more. Supplied with super smooth graphite. Easier to keep sharp than wood cased pencils and more environmentally friendly. The mechanism is much more simple than some other mechanical pencils, so there is less to go wrong and it feels like it will last for years.

As a complete beginner in drawing and sketching, I can't speak highly enough of this pencil. I prefer using mechanical pencils and this offers a very welcome variety in thickness from the average ones you get.I've used it for rough sketching, shading and strong lines and I've been very pleased with it in each scenario.

Bought this for carrying with me as I like using 3B's for quick sketching but don't always have the time to sharpen a normal pencil. With this I can retract the lead to save it from damage until I need it.

Clever idea, word of advice be sure to buy the tiny sharpener! The pencil itself is a little heavy at first but after using it for a couple of hours, you adapt to it, I did anyway.

Great pencil. Grips the lead and doesn't slip like other pencils. This is my no.1 pencil.

Very good, a clutch pencil is so much better than a very traditional propelling pencil!
