I ordered the 0.7mm version as well as this one and both were delivered to my door within 24 hours. I prefer mechanical pencils (with built-in erasers) to pens when I'm working or simply doing a crossword and I have tried out most makes. My first Rotring was bought in Denmark and it worked perfectly until I had to buy spare leads. Local stores carried every make but Rotring's - let me tell you that not all leads are the same! Rotring leads are soft enough to write smoothly but sufficiently strong not to snap easily. The others don't compare and so I wanted the Tikky pencils not only for their quality but also because they came supplied with HB leads. Okay,

I've been using Rotring products for 40 years and their pens are second to none. As an aspiring artist I'm always on the lookout for new techniques and mechanical pencils appear to be in use now more than ever. I therefore was pleased to see that Rotring had a range of Tikky mechanical pencils and I bought this set of three. They are well made, an excellent product, and surprisingly low cost. I was also pleased to see there's a variety of leads (not just HB) though there's no need to stick to Rotring for these.I now have several of these pencils dotted around for use on different projects. Overall it's cheaper to buy one of these pencils (which comes with some spare leads)

The name says it all. Tikky. I buy them just for the sound, other purists might scoff at the idea but I'll defend it. Briefly at least, or until I get bored. They are also quite excellent for sketching or so I'm told. Standard Rotring quality, decent price, quick delivery. Good stuff. People will try to take them for their own personal use and enjoyment, so watch them like a hawk. It's a good idea to get very well acquainted with the sound yours make(s). They all sound the same, but not completely. It's a bit like genetics. The combination of densities and dimensional deviations of the materials make for a staggering number of individual voices. As the saying goes “They Do Exactly As Described On The Tin”.These are Rotring devices which is a great issue in their favour.The build quality is very hard to beat and impossible if trying to match such great build quality with such a decent price.There are some of higher specs, with a price to match but they are intended mostly for the professional draughtsman that prefers a paper layout before using a computer!All in all, they are great at what they do (including artistic drawings) and far better than good for things they weren’t intended for.Highly recommended - though long term use might show up problems though I seriously doubt it.

It's not a bad pencil at all but while it has a nice width to it it is quite lightweight. Much better than the Pentel P207 I have which is too thin to hold comfortably for any period of time. I found the Rotring supplied leads a little hard and prefer the Pentel SUPER version.My recently purchased Pentel Graphgear 1000 P7 is however a much 'nicer' pencil, weightier and with an automatically retracting tip operated by the pocket clip. While the Pentel was a little dearer I was happy to pay the extra. Having said that you won't be disappointed by either in my opinion.

I've never used an engineering drawing pencil before but I will from now on,This pen provides a very nice thin line making marking out so much more accurateAnd when the lead gets blunt, you just press the button on the top of the pen and a fresh section of lead drops out of the nib, no more crappy pencil sharpeners that don't work.My only gripe would be that I don't know how to put a new lead into the pencil once its run out, or if this is even possible. It does seem a waste of plastic to just use this pencil once and then throw it away

I wanted a higher quality mechanical pencil - I use them a lot and decided it was time to have one that I didn't feel so bad about constantly breaking etc - it's quite a lot of plastic. This one is great. Firstly, as it's made to last it's thicker than your average mechanical pencil and feels more like a luxury pen to hold. Secondly, it comes with a good sized pack of lead refils which are easy to order in their own right. To be honest I cannot imagine they sell that many of these pencils - cannot imagine it breaking ever! Great product.

I needed some pencils to do some graphs, and other drawing for a maths course and decided to get mechanical pencils instead of normal pencils for the first time. I'm very impressed with these mechanical pencils. They are easy to grip, and the lead does not snap easily. They are also incredibly well made. I imagine these will last me for a few years at the least. Having three different sizes is great as well for the price. Just remember to get replacement lead for all three sizes as running out is annoying.

The .50mm and .70mm work very well, both providing nice clean lines, but the 0.35mm one didn't work at all, I fiddled about with it to no avail.However, these WERE on promotion at £5.50 for the set of 3 so I've decided it's just not worth sending them all back for a replacement.I notice that there are just two replacement leads in each pencil and that the Hi-Polymer 12 lead refills are £1.70 BUT are an Add-on Item so will need to be ordered when I'm buying something else.Paul.

This is a great quality pencil. The lead doesn't snap every 5 second like in some mechanical pencils. I have used some cheap mechanical pencils in the past and they have been a nightmare. It's definitely worth spending a little bit more on a good pencil - and this set is a really decent price as it is, considering you get leads and an eraser with it also. I'd say it'd be worth the money even without the extras. The spare leads will certainly last a long time.

I have occasionally used Rotring mechanical pencils, but usually use the more expensive Staedtler. However, seeing this set of three I was tempted to give them a try. The range, 0.35, 0.5 and 0.7, is useful for technical drawing and for general note taking or diagraming. Obviously, thin leads need to be used with a lightish touch as they are prone to break, but keepung that in mind, these pencils work well and offer good value for money.

I've been using Rotring products for the past 33 years; at school then college and through to the workplace as a draughtsman. Of course all that has changed now with Photoshop, CAD etc but I still like to put pen and pencil to paper now and again and I wouldn't use anything else. Rotring quality has always been second to none and these mechanical pencils are no exception. The leads advance evenly and there's no fall out from the end.

Love em!They are very functional and good value, however they are plastic and not lookers so if you want something to look nice in a suit pocket or to break out in meetings then not the top choice.A good way to see what pencil lead thickness you like before spending a lot of money on a more expensive mechanical pencil.Not too many leads with each pencil so my advice would be to buy extra leads at time of purchase.

Having used these for years the quality is very good. I highly recommend these mechanical pencils. Only minor observation is that the printing wears off with use. That doesn't really bother me, as it give them a bit of character (OK, that's maybe pushing it).I prefer to use the two larger sizes, the 0.35 is too fragile for my general style of writing, but I have used it for very fine printing and it performed well.

A pleasure to write with.I prefer using pencils rather than pens when designing software logic, and prefer paper over the screen as I find it both more immediate and organic - ironically, as a software developer. I don't know if it's the quality of the leads or the quality of the pencils, or both, but they're just so super smooth when writing and I've not had a breakage yet.Highly recommended.
