Fitted with a black Parker fine point quink gel refill (they’re compatible) this writing pen makes a great impromtu drafting pen - just like a Rotring pen should (the company has long been famous for it’s technical pens, which they invented, just in case you didn’t know already). I like to carry around something I can do technical drawings with in my graph pad. The trouble is, technical pens are apt to leak if they’re bashed about in a pen case at the bottom of a bag because the nib is just a hollow tube. They’re really made for the desk, not your bag. Using fineliners instead would be fine indeed if it weren’t for the fact that they’re invariably the disposable type,

The pen itself is wonderful. Great for anyone who likes a straight, non-taper barrel with grip. Nice click action, and a clip that works well on both thin and thick clothes. However, I found the supplied refill not fit for purpose. It was like writing with a freebie pen from a struggling bookies. If held at an angle more acute than 70 degrees from the surface, the ball housing gouged the paper and the ink blotched. I was really surprised that rotring would let that out of the factory, but I didn't return the pen as I like it so much. It takes G2 refills - the standard Parker type, and I've usually got a few of them lying around from other pens. So, great pen,

very good pen very sturdy but would advise people to remember. the ink cartridge the pen comes with is not designed for writing but is for drawing as this is what all Rotring pens designed for. So if just got this pen for normal handwriting you will need to replace the ink cartridge which is very easy as pen takes normal parker pen type ink cartridge

Rotring quality despite the lower price point. I lost several good pens (ie expensive) at work over the years and I hate the generic cheap pens that are the staple of most work places. This pen is the perfect solution - doesn't break the bank and still writes beautifully

These are brilliant pen 'cases', but are let down by the ink cartridges, which aren't of a great quality. This can be easily fixed by purchasing different cartridges of better quality for very little money - such as the Parker Quinkflow ones that I purchased for mine:

The pen finally arrived and handles nicely. The theory is that the colour will make it harder to lose. the only problem is that the ink in the refill supplied doesn't run very freely and needs some scribbling before the ink starts to run freely

Cool and nicely looking pen. Relatively sturdy, it has metal end on it, the rest is plastic. It has good weight to it and feels great in hand. Overly happy with this pen.

I really like the design and comfort offered by this pen. It has the same quality found on many of Rotring’s product and it’s a joy to write with.

I'm very particular about my pens because my writing is so terrible. These are nicely weighted and have a smooth ink flow. So far so good.....

It came all the way from Japan for only a few pounds. As it is Rotring it is the quality you would expect.

Exactly what I wanted. A simple Rotting ballpoint. Sold st s hood price and quickly delivered.

Love it although I changed the ink colour to black. Very light and comfortable to use.

Good feel to the pen, easy to use. Rotting are a great brand, always use their pens.

Nice weight, smooth action, writes well and is comfortable to grip. No complaints.
