I love this base coat and it really does tend to make my Essie nail varnish last longer, although it does not work as well when used with other brands. Having two small children, my hands are always in and out of water and nail varnish tends to chip within an hour or two of being applied (unless I get a gel manicure).I find that when I use this, an Essie colour and Essie Gel Setter top coat, I can go at least 4 days with no chips. 4 days is still not very long, when compared to the longevity of a gel manicure, but it is preferable to a couple of hours!All in all, I would recommend this product, but only if you have other Essie products to use with it.

Excellent base coat for all nail polish (except gel) and one of the best on the market. Crystal clear so it doesn't taint the colour of the nail polish you use over it. Super product - dries fast too. Works really well with Essie 'Good to Go' Rapid Dry top coat.

Would not use anything else under my coloured varnish. Such a good surface - my manicure lasts at least a week and protects my nails from staining.

This nail care is better than any I have bought in the stores. Nails are growing and are much stronger best they have looked for a long time
