[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I noticed was the actual bottle of skin protectant when I opened the box. It is a nice box. The actual bottle itself is heavy duty too. I know that seems a little weird to talk about, but the bottle itself is high quality and because of that, I don't expect any punctures in the bottle or anything like that. Opening the container is really easy. The lid just twists and opens. Then you just twist it back on when you are done. The cream itself comes out fairly quick. That's not a bad thing but just wanted people to be aware. And you only need a little bit! A little bit goes a long way. The cream itself is kind of an orange color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a lot of dry skin on my arms and legs so I was excited to try this product. I like that a little bit of cream goes a long ways. I have tried other creams before but they don't last very long and they're greasy. I like this cream because I like to put it on at night to absorb all night into my skin while I sleep. I also put it on in the morning and it lasts all day. This cream isn't greasy at all and absorbs really quickly. I put a little bit of this cream on my nail cuticles and they look so much healthier now than before. My lips seem to get chapped a lot in the winter months so I wanted to try this product on them, my lips are not chapped anymore.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An eight hour skin protectant claim, I'm sure you can imagine I was skeptical. First, I am going to state the obvious, this does not smell pleasant at all. As a matter of fact, it smells horrible! I would never put this on my face as suggested because I don't think I could take the smell. I used this on my hands the first time I tried it as you can see from the photos, it gives your skin a nice sheen. Having said that, with any petrolatum product you can also expect this to be extremely thick and greasy on your skin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to give this product a try because it claims to not only hydrate the skin but protect it as well. Since it's a petroleum-based cream, I would consider it to be more of an ointment/occlusive rather than a cream. I prefer to use this at night because it has a strong, kinda unpleasant scent (my reason for 4 stars). I typically have dry skin and now that I'm using a prescription retinoid, my skin is even dryer, especially my lips! The EA Eight Hour® Cream Skin Protectant works perfectly as the last step in my evening skincare routine. I use a tiny bit on my face to seal in the moisture from my night cream.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really tough on my hands, and it shows. Add in living in Las Vegas, and they are dried out most of the time. The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream does an incredible job of re-hydrating my hands. It has a nice scent, not too heavy or perfume like. When I applied it to my hands it felt really oily. I was concerned, I try to avoid heavy, greasy products. About 15 minutes after applying it, it was completely absorbed in, and no longer felt greasy. I like that I do not have to reapply it after every hand washing, my hands remains soft, and moisturized, even after I've washed my hands. It is not what I expect of a cream.

I hadn't tried it before I bought my first tube about two months ago. I can't say it's a miracle worker, but it's great because it's so multipurpose, I tried it on my heels for about a week but when I noticed no difference I stopped, i thought it used up too much product since it's quite expensive. I do use it as a nightly lip balm and on dry patches on my face, and that works great! I love waking up in the morning and realising it's still on my lips, not like a regular balm. It smells exactly like resin, the tree kind of resin, EXACTLY, I didn't like the smell at all in the beginning, probably because I couldn't figure out what it was, but once I did it became much more pleasant.

It was so gentle on my burned skin from being out in the sun all day, and was very refreshing. I then started using this as part of my nighttime skincare routine. After applying my usual under eye nigh cream, I will apply this over it to lock in the cream & add even more moisture. WOW! The next morning my under eye area, which is normally filled with unwanted creases, lines and crows feet, looked so much more refreshed, and YOUNGER!!! I was ECSTATIC! I was introduced to 8 hour cream in 1988 and have been using it ever since. Ita a staple on my Christmas wish list. A little goes a long way. As a nurse the constant hand washing can take its toll on my hands leaving them dry and prone to cracking. I like to start and finish my working day by massaging in a small amount, a little goes a long way and can cover both hands and allows me time to massage it into my cuticles too. This cream makes me feel my skin is repaired, moisturised and protected. There is an initial feel of relief to the skin, it feels instantly nourished bus there is also the benefit of being able to massage the skin without dragging.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! This product is AMAZING. The name or description says Eight Hour Cream but the consistency is actually more like an ointment. It has many versatile uses. I use it on my chapped lips, my nails- to soften my cuticles, my crusty dried out pimples, and just where ever I have dry skin. I works wonder! It definitely keeps my skin moisturized for hours. Just an hour after applying this on my lips made my lips felt so hydrated and I can feel the rough skin almost like it's exfoliating on its own! I am very impressed. I can definitely see this healing the KP on my arms! It's too early to say but for anything else that needs instant hydration,

I never write reviews BUT this cream was so amazing for the treatment of Molloscum Contagiosum. It takes a while and it is expensive but it works! My 3-year old daughter had 45-50 spots that were irritating her. She was prescribed Molludab but you have to put that on every single spot morning and night plus the Molludab really stung so she wouldn’t let us apply it. Her eczema was worse with the molloscum so something had to be done. I stumbled across an Internet forum where a mum recommended Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. I figured I had nothing to lose. Each spot has slowly drawn out. I have applied it every morning and night, so far we are on our third tube. It is likely to be our last because now she only has seven.

I am writing this review at 2am as I had a nightmare this product was discontinued- that's how much I love it. This is by far my best product ever. I have used it since my very early teens if not earlier and it is good for EVERYTHING. This is my go to product whenever my skin feels dull, dry or is breaking out for an unknown reason. It is an intense moisturiser which is gentle on sensitive skin too.I use it all over my face and sleep with it all night whenever my skin needs a pick me up. It is a very sticky solution so doesn't rub into the skin which is why I use it all over at night only. Sometimes use a little on my lips as a gloss if they are very chapped. This product is also good on burns or cuts to prevent scarring.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first time I used Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream skin protectant in the 1.7 oz tube, I was expecting a average white cream lotion, but this product is not just average nor a white cream lotion it is 56.8% petroleum based and looked tannish orange in color to me. The texture is a petroleum jelly type, but comes out of the tube very easily even though it is on the thicker side. It doesn't seem to absorb into the skin, but tends to sit on top of it with a somewhat oily feel and sheen to it. I apply this product nightly to my hands, elbows and the heels of my feet that get so rough even my husband has complained the dryness scratches his feet when I rub my feet across his.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Eight Hour Cream by Elizabeth Arden is multifaceted and has so many uses! It's provides skin protection and is also a great moisturizer. I have severely dry cracked heels that can't be fixed no matter how much I buff my heels with a pumice stone and slather them with lotion each day. This cream has really turned my heels around and I'm no longer ashamed of wearing sandals and open back shoes. I also use this cream as a lip balm. It keeps my lips chap-free and very glossy to boot. During the drier winter months, my skin gets exceedingly dry and chapped. This cream makes a great overnight moisturizer for all those dry areas I use it on my hands and feet.
