I, like many other users, have gone back to this cream make up, after a few years of not using it. I think that the trend of mineral make up, or the dewey effect glowing look, has run it's course. The whole ritual of preparing your face, applying and blending foundation, then powder etc., is time consuming and expensive. Believe me, I have tried it all. This make up is not rated amongst the best but a lot of the people who are online promoting the newest and usually, most expensive products, are sponsored. Or are about twelve years old with perfect skin. The price for this in the shops ranks it expensive but it is a lot less expensive on Amazon.Recently they have changed the formula and added a bit of sparkle and are now presenting it in a gold case. Yes, and it costs twice the price. I'm not sure if adding sparkling powder will spoil it's natural effect. If l want a sparkle l will add it myself. I apply the foundation over a primer using a special foundation brush. I want a natural look but not caked or dry. I apply as you do mineral powder using stippling then gentle circular strokes. It gives a nice natural look. If you apply heavily it can look caked. Use a colour as close to your own for a natural effect. One thing l dislike is the fact that you cannot find a description of the colours. Example if light beige is above beige. Come on Elizabeth Arden, get your act together, most people are buying online now. Their colour charts are not good enough. I have light beige and honey beige and mix the two. My skin is slightly darker than light beige. Honey beige is used for touching up. The case and the mirror are good quality, the mirror is big enough to use unlike some other compact mirrors. They have changed the design often over the years. It is great for carrying around in your bag. Easy to use and they have lovely shades that cover most skin tones. If not, then buy two different shades and mix! I can now be 'face ready', in half the time. Some of the classics survive time but I haven't tried the new formular as yet!? "If it ain't broke, why fix it!?, as our over the pond neighbours would spout.

This has got to be one of, if not, THE best foundation I have ever used.I've got a drawer full of foundations!!, so I do think I know what I'm talking about with regard to foundations, although I appreciate some girls like other finishes than this one gives (medium to full). Some of my foundations are also from really top quality brands, Chanel, YSL, etc., promising a miracle in skin finish. Well....I've found they don't produce any miracles on me!!, so I was absolutely delighted to have found this Flawless Finish Sponge on foundation in this earlier issue (in the BLACK container - the newer version is in the GOLD container). I think this BLACK container is the best one,having tried the Gold one in store.The finish this gives to the skin is airbrushed!! It's not a lightweight foundation. What I love about it is the sheer ease of application...no pouring of foundation onto the back of your hand to apply with a brush, and no messy fingers - just sweep the supplied sponge over your face - so quick! and with a perfect finish. My skin looks FLAWLESS after I have applied this foundation.A tip girls.....it's a big mistake to use a darker foundation than you need (it ages you). It's better to use a foundation that matches your skin exactly, or a shade paler. I use a shade paler, and add extra colour as needed with a good blusher and with a very light smidgen of bronzing powder (you have to take care with the bronzer - just the feintest touch).If you apply this foundation with a BEAUTY BLENDER sponge (must be the original BB - check it out), I'm sure you will be knocked over by the finish. I wet my BB sponge (the sponge then doubles in size) then pat it almost dry in a tissue or towel. Apply the foundation with a light tapping motion, then glide it over the skin for a final blend - PERFECTION!!If you haven't bought one of these yet - I would strongly recommend you do - a perfect make-up for the forthcoming winter too!!

This foundation has got to be my all time favourite. It never lets me down! I've been using it since the 1970's and the quality of it has never changed...if anything it's improved! The good thing about it is that this foundation has seen me through over three decades and is still looking good on my skin. The packaging has always been good and durable and has never broken down on me even though it's been pushed to ther limits in my bags.There is absolutely no waste either. Unlike bottles or tubes you can used the very last drop of the makeup. It always seems a waste to throw away the empty compact as it's never dirty with spillage. The small sponge supplied to apply the makeup with is made of durable material too.It washes well and, again, has never fallen apart on me. It's still whole when the compact is thrown away. It's such an easy makeup to apply while you're on the move too. The compact with it's generous mirror can be used anywhere....and you've no messy hands to wash either.If you haven't tried this product yet then you don't know what you're missing!!!

I love this foundation. The packaging is classy (an outer gold and silver coloured box) and the case is equally impressive with it’s gold and silver scheme again, mirror inside the lid and lower compartment for the sponge. Some reviewers have stated they got a different case but in May 2018 that the gold and silver case in the product page was the one I received. It sounds a lot but it’s actually very compact. The product itself is good - decent coverage and long lasting. The colour I got was “Honey Beige” which is pretty spot on for my skin - I could perhaps have taken it a touch darker. They advise you to wet the sponge slightly before apply and I can recommend this as it goes on especially well.The only negative is the price. However, the product is very good and the packaging is top class and, in my opinion, worthwhile treating yourself with.

This is one of the best cream foundations I've tried. I've used this with and without a primer. As you can imagine, it's better with a primer but still really good without.It blends very well so there are no hard edges, even when you rush. It does cover well. It's covered a broken vein on my cheek that's usually very resistant to any foundation or concealer.On application you think it's going to be quite a greasy make up but it sets well alone or with powder to a matte finish. The sponge applicator works fine for me dry but you can dampen for a sheerer finish and there are air holes in the bottom of the sponge case to dry it out after use.I dislike the packaging.It's hard to open so you've got fingers all over it trying to prise it open and that of course puts smears all over the mirrored case.

I am a middle aged woman and have used this product for many years. The coverage is fabulous, does not shine ,makes my skin look fresh and younger. It is easy to remove and does not irritate my sensitive skin. Wear it sparingly during the day for that fresh look or more liberal in the evening with blusher and heavier eye makeup and a strong lip colour for that dressy appeal. Would definitely recommend it for all ages as it fabulous value for money - a classy product. P.S For your perfect colour use the inside of your wrist to make sure it’s not too light and go one shade darker. I am fair skinned,with dark blonde hair and after years of trial and error have found No 4 Porcelain Beige to be my perfect colour.

Nice compact, I have dropped it a couple of times and it is still intact!! Small thing but it is a nightmare when make compact hinges give in before the makeup runs out!Easy to apply, goes on well and gives a nice, fairly moderate coverage. I have not tried it with a damp sponge which is supposed to give a heavier coverage as the standard is just fine for me. It does not crease or end up lodge in the fine lines or wrinkles on your face by the end of the day, which has been one reason why I have not bothered with these compact foundations in the past.Used over the Elizabeth Arden primer, these creates a truly flawless finish. I like it.

It is an excellent quality product , with great coverage easily applied with the sponge provided. Excellent blending capability giving a soft smooth smear free finish to your foundation.I also like the style , class and feel of the smart handy storage box holding the powder , with a clear well sized mirror.I'm really unable to find any negatives to say about this wonderful Elizabeth Arden product except the high prices some sales teams are offering . It's well worth shopping around but be sure your provider has the exact colour tint your after. Toasty beige my preferred tint maintains a high price and not all providers stock this shade.

This makeup comes in a nice gold box that certainly looks expensive on first glance and opens to reveal a good size square compact mirror on a hinge that helps the box stand up so you can position it to see in the mirror without using hands.The foundation itself sits in a large square tray in the middle and this itself lifts to reveal a nice sized square sponge applicator. So far, so good.The Honey Beige colour gives a nice warm glow without feeling too un-natural. It's easy to apply, turning to more of a matt colour but with a slight shine, probably from the 'micronized diamonds' which are supposed to reflect the light.

You apply it using a sponge and there are many skin shades in the range to match just about everyone.It has micro diamond material in it which helps reflect light and make the skin more radiant, this works well. Only a tiny amount is needed to make skin look firmer and younger with great colour.Overall.A popular and easy to use makeup that does make skin look firmer with better colour.

I have used Elizabeth Arden's Flawless Finish for many years and just love it. Being pale skinned I have found it perfect for blending with my skin tone. The beauty of this foundation is that one really needs very little to look good and it lasts throughout the day until I remove it with a little baby cream or make-up remover. I am in my mid seventies now and still get kind remarks about my complexion which one is never to old to enjoy genuine compliments. I have over the years, as one does, tried other foundation makeup but non have ever lived up to Flawless Finish, I still love it!

I adore this foundation,have been using for many years and indeed makes your skin look flawless.Im not keen on the new flip style case and the gold colour compact the other dark blue in my appinion looks more stylish and the sponge was next to the makeup with a lovely big mirror.This new compact is fiddely and i hate flipping it open and such a small mirror.I tend to use porcelian beige or vanilla shell not my perfect mach as im a neautral fair but no shade so have to make the above two colour do.PLEASE BRING BACK THE LAST COMPACT THE RECTANGLE ONE WITH THE SPONGE AT THE SIDE.

I loved the presentation of this cream foundation. It's in a stunning gold clasp box and just has the feel of something a bit special. The product itself is indeed an excellent one. I found this very easy to apply giving a nice even coverage while feeling very light and soft. I worried about cakey-ness and it settling into lines around my nose and eyes. I needn't have and I loved the complexion it gave me. If any complaint I'd say this shade was just a little too pale. I guess that's personal though and overall this is a gorgeous product well worth investing in.

I used to use this years ago and have returned and wondered why I ever stopped buying it, it gives perfect coverage to whatever coverage you desire, stays looking fresh all day, so easy and economical to use and the bonus is that I can pop it into my bag should I need to do touch up during the day. I was colour matched by an Elizabeth Arden expert in a store and she was spot on, the vanilla shell is my perfect colour and I shall stick with this foundation, love the gorgeous compact, it's so glamorous, everyone loves a bit of everyday glamour.

Superb, creamy makeup that goes on smoothly and is easy to blend with powder or cream blusher. It does not cake on the skin (important when you have wrinkles, as I have) and stays looking fresh for several hours. It is light and easy to remove. It is very neat and easy to pop into a handbag or makeup bag without adding much bulk or weight. The very soft sponge stores under the tray containing the makeup, and as the container is quite small overall, you don't get a lot of the cream so its quite expensive, but does do an excellent job.
