First off, to all those saying it's too expensive, it's really not if you use it correctly! You don't have to use a lot of it in order for it to work! I've had a bottle that I use everyday and It's lasted me a full three months. LESS IS MORE! when applying it, put just enough on a cotton ball and dab it across the entire area that needs it.Anywho, This product does work, and yes it does kinda sting at first and has a not so pleasant smell. HOWEVER, over time, with consistent use it won't sting as much, and it really doesn't smell all THAT bad.I am a black man that has suffered from terrible razor bumps due to wet shaving on my face and neck. This stuff is one of the only products (next to Barc Bump Down)I've used that has helped clear my skin back up, and trust me I have tried damn near EVERYTHING.I first noticed results only a day after my first application, and my skin has stayed bump free since. As a fairly hairy man, my facial hair grows very quickly. I like to keep myself closely shaven, so I shave roughly about every other day.On the days that I shave, I first take a rag and run it under some hot water. I then place the rag on the areas of my face and neck I plan to shave and let it set for about a minute to help loosen up the hairs and open the pores. I then shave, after shaving I wash my entire face and neck with a deep cleanser or an exfoliator and pat dry. I then use the TEND SKIN, by placing just enough to lightly soak a cotton ball and dab it across my entire face and neck. Like I said earlier you don't need to use a lot for it to work! matter of fact, if you use too much it can dry your skin out terribly and probably make matters worse!Several minutes after the area is dry, I apply a moisturizer. I would HIGHLY recommend finding a great moisturizer to use to apply to the area to prevent the area from becoming too dry, especially if your skin is very sensitive. I personally like to use Cetaphil moisturizing fragrance free lotion (you can find for under $10) or sometimes I like to use a little BIO OIL when I have it (BIO OIL, is about $5-$10 for a 2 fl oz bottle, but has proven to me to be VERY effective in moisturizing and great for a variety of skin problems).I think the main things you should make sure of when choosing a moisturizer is that it's (1) fragrance free, as this can sometimes cause more problems for skin prone to razor bumps, and (2) not too heavy, as this can clog pores and also make matters worse. Just make sure that you keep the area properly hydrated. Also on my off days, when I don't shave, I'll still apply a little TENDSKIN after washing my face before bed.Personally, the smell really isn't that bad if you use it correctly, and it's nothing that can't be covered with some cheap cologne/perfume. BUT if the smell is really that much of an issue for you, I would either only shave at night and put this on before bed, OR I would recommend trying Barc Bump down razor relief cream. This cream is the only other product I've used that works to remove and prevent razor bumps. It's a little bit more pricey than TENDSKIN not by much though, but it doesn't have a strong scent at all. It's very creamy and goes on like a light lotion and it also doesn't dry the skin out as much. It does however burn a lot more for me than TEND SKIN.Hopefully this helps someone out in choosing whether or not to buy this product =)PS: all of the products I talk about in this review, I've purchased through Amazon.

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about this stuff... But, I find that Amazon's user reviews are usually a good barometer as to whether something is what it claims to be, and this product is no exception. It does work.I'm by no means "metrosexual", but with that said, I do prefer the man-scaped look on my torso... and my woman prefers the smooth hairless look on my chest and stomach. I've been shaving that area on and off for quite some time... years. The one problem I've always had is that I invariably get razor burn and, worse, ingrown hairs which itch something fierce, and worse, sometimes creates an unsightly rash... I've tried other products with varying degrees of success and failure over the years, but none have come close to what this does.It took a couple of weeks before I really saw the benefits of this stuff. It seemed to work within a few days of using it, but not to any amazing degree... I just noticed a bit less on the razor burn side of things. The one thing that was immediately obvious was that this product is primarily alcohol... not only because it does sting to some extent, but because I get a heavy waft of alcohol vapor when I breath in after applying it... whew. They say to "dab it on with a cotton ball", which, to be real, is ridiculous... it would take way too long to apply it like that for sure... I just carefully squirt it on my chest and rub it in and then the same to my stomach... I guess, by their estimation, I apply it heavily... however, I have a lot of space to cover and I'm relatively short on patience... I slather it on... I want to make sure that every inch is covered... it has glycerin in it or something, so it adheres amazingly well, so I don't feel like I'm wasting it... it's not dripping off me or anything. I also applied it on the days that I didn't shave, as it recommends. So, I apply twice on the day I shave (once immediately after shaving and then once before bed), and then once in the morning on the days that I don't.The real magic started after about 2 weeks... I shave once or twice a week.... so after the third or forth shave it was obvious that I was NO LONGER GETTING RAZOR BURN! I was excited. After my last shave, not only did I not get razor burn, but I realized that I didn't get any of the tell tale signs of ingrown hairs or the ensuing rash... that's when I was sold. The results aren't perfect yet... I still have a few bumps here and there, but it does appear that those bumps are slowly dwindling in number. So why four stars and not five? Simply put, the cost. This stuff is expensive. Yes, it actually works... and you could argue that if you're annoyed with your condition enough, that almost any price is worth it... but $20 for an 8oz. bottle is steep for sure. I'm guessing that this bottle will last me around 2 months. $10 a month for no more shaving problems and a clear chest and stomach... yeah, I'll continue to use it. It's kind of like complaining about your cable bill. The fees are outrageous, but most of will never get rid of it. I mean... this product is mostly alcohol... with a little aspirin, witch hazel, etc. It should really be in the $10 - $15 range, max... at that price point, this would be a five star product.

I have been using this product for years now and LOVE it! In the past, I routinely suffered from breakouts in sensitive areas after I shaved/waxed in my armpits and bikini line. I am white with a medium complexion and have dark brown, thick, fast-growing body hair. I also have sensitive skin and many products "strip" the natural balance (dry out, burn, or severely irritate) of my skin. I constantly battled ingrown hairs, irritating razor burn, embarrassing redness and general sensitivity. I have used expensive products from spas and salons, multiple methods of exfoliators, regularly consulted my dermatologist (even had a bump surgically removed!)and NOTHING has worked as well as Tend Skin.I use it on my bikini line immediately after waxing, shaving, and as a part of my nightly routine to keep bumps away during the time in-between hair removal - just shave/wax, apply to skin right after a shower and in-between removal times with a cotton pad (Warning-as with many aftershaves, it will STING the first time you use it after removing hair!) and I have had very few/minimal unsightly bumps or infections since my first use in 2011! It has a strong smell but only if you put your nose up to the bottle. The stinging is a quick burn and doesn't last. Additionally, the product won't stain or discolor any clothing or fabric, but it's most effective to the area dry before dressing.Since discovering this product through reviews on Amazon several years ago, I haven't stopped using Tend Skin and even bring it with me when I travel. Tend Skin made such a difference to my bikini line and arm pits I can finally be comfortable and stop worrying! Also, it is much more affordable to purchase this on Amazon- the prices at big chain retailers can cost nearly twice as much, plus many stores like Ulta or Sephora only sell the product at certain locations. Which ever way you choose to buy this product, you will be pleased with improvements to your skin!

I bought this skin lotion for my dog, on the recommendation of my son. He uses it regularly after wet shaving and said how brilliant it is for keeping his skin clear, and preventing ingrown hairs which he used to suffer from. His partner endorsed this, as she also uses it from time to time when shaving body areas other than the face.My dog is a 7 years old ‘blue’ Staffy. Staffies are prone to skin conditions, and blue dogs are particularly prone to a skin condition called Colour Dilution Alopaecia (aka CDA). CDA is more commonly known as Blue Dog Syndrome. A dog’s ‘blue’ colour is the result of a faulty black gene which causes faulty hair follicles. The hair breaks off at skin level, debris enters the follicle, and nasty spots full of pus appear, similar to acne. Most of these spots contain the last broken-off (or root) of the hair. The spots are unsightly, and they make the dog itch so, having tried numerous lotions and creams etc. (even those prescribed by the vet) to no avail, I am always up for trying anything which might relieve her discomfort after 7 long years.CDA is hereditary, and incurable; the vet said she will eventually lose all her hair, and it will never grow back. She still has small patches of coarse hair, but looks almost bald. However, very fine ‘red’/ginger ‘bumfluff’ is now appearing. This was happening before I bought the Tend Skin, but the Tend does seem to be helping with the spots. Because Tend Skin is so expensive (but because I am hopeful that it will work) I bought this on ‘Subscribe and Save’ (6 monthly) rather than as a One-time Purchase. So far, I am happy with it, though it does make her skin very dry. I counteract that with coconut oil.

Tend Skin actually, truly does work. I’m always skeptical of buying stuff even after reading through hundreds of positive reviews. Lots of reviews aren’t even credible or real. However, I’ve used Tend Skin for several weeks now and literally within hours you’ll notice its effects. I don’t think it removes any ingrown hair SCARS (which it doesn’t claim to but I see some people wonder if it does) but it definitely does prevent further bumps and decreases current bumps in size. Even the scar tissue from present bumps will flatten. I have to shave my cheeks and under my chin [:(] every single day. I developed hair underneath my chin after starting birth control and I let someone bully me into shaving my sideburns.I now permanently have hair in those areas and have to do hair removal literally every other day. Sometimes every single day. It’s tiring and really embarrassing. And it’s even more embarrassing that you attempt to remove this hair, and it makes it even more obvious you have hair in those area even when you’re freshly shaved because bumps, scars, irritation, and hyperpigmentation are susceptible to arise due to that hair removal process. So, yes. It works. It helps. It’s awesome. The smell is definitely awful and opens up your nose and waters your eyes, lol. But the product works and that’s most important.OH, and another thing, even though it is primarily alcohol, it does NOT burn sensitive skin nor even freshly shaved or knicked skin for that matter. Sometimes I even dig my tweezers into my skin and break it (i know i shouldn’t do that, I KNOW) to tweeze hairs and those large wounds don’t even burn when I rub the tend skin on it.

I've been using Tend Skin for a few years now, on the reccommendation from my asthetitan at Paul Mitchell Salon. To be honest, I didn't purchase it right away, in fact it was a few months before I finally bit the bullet and purchased it. I've been loyal to it ever since and will continue to use this product in the future. One of the great things about this product is it's versatility. I shave my face, laser my chest and wax my abs. I'll be lasering my abs as well, just doing everything sections at a time because it hurts. No matter what technique I'm using to remove hair, I know that by applying this product I will have smoother, ingrown hair free skin on about 90-95% of where ever I use it.It does have a strong alcohol smell (and the sting that goes with it), but that only lasts for maybe 20 seconds? It's more so right after you've shaved, waxed or lasered. I'm assuming because the skin is already irritated. In all honesty, however, after that 20 seconds my skin already starts to feel better than it did before. I apply it generously about twice a day, though sometimes I do forget (especially in the mornings when I'm in a hurry). If you're unsure of whether or not to get this, do it! And when you do, buy it on Amazon. I just bought mine for under $15 for the larger 8oz bottle. The same bottle goes for twice that at Ulta and Sephora. Just plan ahead, I ran out a few days ago. I thought I'd just buy it from Sephora but it's just too expensive there, so I'll just wait for my order to come in. Since it's half the price, I should just buy two to keep one for a backup. In fact, I think I'll do that right now before I forget!

I'm almost scared to write a review on this product because of how well its worked for me and i dont want to jinx myself here.I've been using tend skin for 2 months now, and im a young latin american male, but my skin is more comparable to an african american male. So i have very thick hair and lots and lots of razor bumps. At least.. i USED to.By all means, this did not work for me overnight. But i used it twice a day, and followed it with a nice face lotion to prevent my skin from drying and shortly after a week or two i started noticing some amazing differences. On top of that, i now believe that what i used to think was bad acne (mostly on the cheeks and neck) was also connected to bad razor bumps as well. This solution has cleared my skin almost entirely of razor bumps and acne. It's been almost a month now since i have used tweezers to pull out ingrown hairs. My process is simple, shave at night with a single blade disposable razor, follow it with tend skin all over my face. And i use it again in the morning. It might not be the same for everyone but this has worked for me, and i gotta say, its about time. I feel like i've been suffering and fighting my face for the last ten years of my life is nice to not have to worry about this anymore.Like i said, i did not want to write this review because i didint want to jinx myself, but i definitely owe it to people who suffer from bad acne and painful ingrown hairs and razor bumps. This has worked for me and my skin, and although it may not work for you, you should try it and not give up like i almost did.Im very happy. and stop touching your face!

For quite a few years now I've had the unfortunate problem of razor bumps/ ingrown hairs and abcesses in my bikini zone. Needless to say that is the last place any woman would want any "unsightliness" occurring. Before TEND Skin I tried everything that I had at my disposal: Alchohol rub of clippers before and after, alchohol rub of affected area before/after/and DAILY after showers, neem herb supplement and gel lotion (intended to remove impurities in the skin)....... ultimately, tho it helped to some degree, it didn't eraticate the issue. During a visit, my GYN recommended TEND skin....I was skeptical at first since one reviewer previously said "you can get the same affect with alcohol",which I'd already tried. Another said "it stung like hell".... I am happy to say that neither of those were true for me. I've been using TEND skin for about 3-4 weeks now and the improvment is remarkable; the "terrain" has been left free and clear of any irritation or afflictions. Usage is NOT painful-- regular rubbing alcohol left more intense stinging than TEND did. I use it at least one a day after showers.DRAWBACK/side effect: After 3-4 weeks of usage I noticed that the skin in the distinct area that I swab daily is now darkening. It am completely certain that TEND is the cause. Now, if that is the price for my relief(?) I can't say that I'm bothered enough by the "side effect" to stop using the product; after all, better to have an artificial accidental "tan" than razor bumps and abcesses.... Now I'm on the hunt for a good non-clogging moisterizer that may help return the skin to it's original hue......

TL;DR: this stuff works like a charm! Very happy to see bumps go away and hairs more easily removed.Hello. I only leave reviews here and there when something really impresses me. I was very happily surprised by this stuff! I am wary of anything that smells like rubbing alcohol, which there is much of in this product. Do what I did and test it for an hour on a small area of skin. I am naturally very hairy. Hair removal always leaves me with bumps and rashes. After a successful waxing of my arms last month, I went back and got my whole upper body done (belly, chest, back, neck, arms). This left me with a horrible break out all over. Itchy red bumps and ingrown hairs that had white heads a few days later.I did my best not to touch them. I found this product during that time and just tried it yesterday. It has not even been 24 hours!I took a light shower and did not exfoliate, again because this product has rubbing alcohol in it. Once I dried off i followed instructions and did a light rub everywhere I was breaking out with a cotton ball. I went to bed early and got up about 6 hours later. To my surprise the red bumps were about halfway faded away and the white heads were gone. I put more on this morning and honestly have great expectations. I will also not that this definitely 'loosened' up the hairs too. I plucked a few from my sternum that tend to not get pulled out by wax. Usually this hurts and there is a ton of resistance. This time the hairs came right out like they wanted a vacation from my body. <3

I never write online reviews, but this product deserves an exception. I was sceptical about this 'miracle' product, as I'm sure most people considering it are. For the past 4 years, I've had embarrassing razor bumps, in grown hairs and scars (from removing in grown hairs) all over my bikini line as a result of waxing and shaving. I've tried every commercial product out there but nothing ever worked in the slightest. I got Tend Skin with low expectations and was shocked to see results in a matter of days.I started by applying the solution to a cotton pad, then to my skin, but felt simply rubbing it directly into my skin was more effective. I used it once a day for a week, and within that week I noticed my skin was a lot clearer. Some of the bumps had gotten significantly smaller, while others had completely disappeared. I continued to use it (I'm forgetful about these things, so not necessarily every day) and the bumps and scars continued to disappear. The skin in that area also looked generally healthier. While the solution definitely gets rid of your bumps, it doesn't prevent them arising in the first place. After waxing/shaving I got the usual in growns and bumps, but the solution does continue to clear them up.Bottom line is, I had these scars and bumps for years and this is the only product that has ever worked. It does make your skin dry, but any moisturiser will fix that. It has a strong smell, but nothing intolerable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with these skin problems.

This is the second bottle I have bought of this - it's excellent stuff and is almost the only solution that has worked for me.I have been prone to getting ingrown hairs sometimes for quite a while and this solution is excellent for getting rid of them. It essentially dries out the skin, so make sure you are also moisturising regularly in between. It can be used pretty much anywhere, on the legs, underarms, bikini line etc. I would be careful about using it down below as it is quite drying and probably quite harsh on delicate skin, but it definitely does the job! Normally if I feel like my skin is getting sensitive, I'll just pop this on (quite liberally)twice a day for a few days and it sorts it right out.I wouldn't use it straight after getting a wax or epilating or something like that as the pores are still open and delicate, but the day after it should be fine to use right away.Tip: In conjunction with this I make a sugar scrub using coconut oil, and this is great for exfoliating and moisturising at the same time and it stops this drying out my skin! :) It has been recommended to exfoliate every day if you have ingrown hairs, and I find that using the sugar scrub means I can exfoliate my legs every day and not dry out my skin or irritate it too much.Overall, this is definitely worth buying and I'd say a bottle lasts a long time too! My first bottle lasted me a couple of years although it does work less effectively over time after the 12 month "usage" period.

I used to cut my beard with trimmers, because razors electric and traditional cause me to BUMP UP, and trust me, ladies don't particularly go for that sort of thing! At one point I really wanted to start to get a REALLY clean shave, one that you can only get from a razor but every razor that I tried and every shaving cream and every after shave concoction never worked. One day this guy I was working with told me about Tend Skin, I took a look at his neck and noticed that he didn't have ONE bump on it. I figured what the heck, he already told me that it might cost me a tad bit more than the everyday stuff, so I didn't wince at going in on a whim.It burns initially (if you've ever gone to the barber and had ointment slapped on your shape-up it feels about the same, so it's really NO big deal), in a blink of an eye I couldn't feel it, and in less than an HOUR I noticed that the bumps that were on my neck after I shaved were GONE, and even more, they STAYED GONE!!! I'm no longer worried about shaving anymore, my face is baby-skin smooth and I'm happy. It works, point blank. I shave w/a Gillitte Fusion razor if you want to know, but I'm sure that I could shave with any razor and this stuff would work its magic. Nuff said.Oh, you really only need a LITTLE bit at a time, so no need to slap it on like after-shave, besides it STINKS for like 15 seconds and you really don't need to smell like that any longer than you have to! HA!

If you are going to buy Tend Skin, understand that it wont get rid of ingrown hairs. It reduces their appearance by disinfecting and healing the affected area and as a result, they don't show up as much. Tend Skin has really helped control the issue of ingrown hairs. Unfortunately, being African, my hair is as thick ,curly and coarse as they come. To make matters worse, my beard has the harshest textured hair of any other site on my body so shaving is always a nightmare. Before Tend Skin, my skin would break out furiously.Remember, Tend Skin does NOT stop ingrown hairs from developing. Your shaving technique takes care of that. Tend Skin lessens the irritation and reduces the swelling while accelerating the healing.Nowadays, a combination of better shaving and Tend Skin means that my skin is improving with every shave. Unfortunately, years of ignorance and poor technique have resulted in hyper-pigmentation but that should even out in a few years. Also, Tend Skin is a chemical exfoliant. Meaning it peels the top layer of your skin. This helps 'un-stick' buried ingrown hairs only if you use a scrubber on your beard daily. Also, the skin peeling means that if you don't moisturize, you'll have dry flakes on your face. Not very nice. All in all, Tend Skin has been great and I can't imagine being without it. Just make sure you know what it does because you might be disappointed otherwise.

Being a hispanic woman I have struggled with body hair. It has been a source of embarrassment for years. With shaving I get terrible razor bumps, irritation, ingrown hairs and even if they were smooth the first day I shaved, I couldn't show them in public because they were so irritated for a few days- forget going to the beach or going into the salt water. I began waxing my legs 3 years ago which was somewhat better but then I got even worse ingrown hair all over my legs (but hey at least my legs weren't in pain and decently smooth). I tried all sorts of ingrown hair serums, religiously exfoliated, honestly it was just terrible. Then by some miracle I found tend skin on amazon. BEST $21 I have ever spent. With summer approaching I am eager to get in shorts but never thought it'd be possible with the dark sports and small ingrown hairs all over my legs. I have been using Tend Skin 2 times a day for 3 weeks now, WOW. For once my legs are starting to look clear again! I have used on my bikini area and underarms and see a difference as well. Only downfall is you definitely go through the liquid quick- so be careful how much your squirt out. The spray bottle idea someone mentioned is great at covering the areas but you do end up inhaling it, coughing, etc. I also bought a Wizker exfoliating brush on amazon- that's helping too!

About a year or two ago, I started getting infections under my arms every time I shaved. I tried so many different things to prevent these infections—using anti-bacterial ointment, using natural deodorants, getting my armpits sugared instead of shaving them myself—but nothing worked. Not only did this make me feel like I couldn't wear sleeveless things anymore, but I also could not swim, lest I infect anyone else in the pool. Given that swimming is one of my two preferred forms of exercise, this definitely forced me to make some adjustments in my life.Enter Tend Skin. I started using it two months ago, and it has definitely changed my life for the better.I simply apply some in the morning and in the evening—and before and after I shave—and it has made all the difference. (My armpits are so prone to infection that I also use a new blade every time I shave them.) I can wear sleeveless clothes again, and, more importantly, I can swim again. I went swimming again for the first time yesterday, and 24 hours later, my armpits are still clear of infection. It may be a small thing, but, for me, being able to swim again also really boosts my happiness levels. Like I said before, in its own small way, this product has been life-changing for me.Thank you, Tend Skin! I am so grateful that a product like this exists.
