I used to use Bio oil and then stopped but came back to it after suffering a bad burn on my tummy after I had skin contact on a pan which just came out of the oven. The burn turned out to be worse than I thought and it took months to finally heal. My husband hated it because it just kept on reminding him how silly I was for not being careful in the kitchen. It was in the middle of summer and extremely warm outside so I only had a crop top on when I leaned on the hot baking pan.After several months I decided to try bio oil. I use it religiously after I shower morning and night. I top it with St. Ives Collagen body lotion....I find it helps to spread and extend the oil if that makes sense.

Love bio-oil. I like many others was sceptial of all the hype around it but have to say it has made a huge difference to my skin. I was struggling with very dry skin so gave in and spent some money on a 3 month supply of bio-oil as a trial to see how it went, I did not buy it for stretch marks although we all hope to avoid them! Been using the oil for 2 months now, including on my face and as I have very sensitive skin am very careful but no problems at all with bio-oil. Overall there has been a huge turn around, my skin in now lovely and soft where as before it just felt rough, dry and flaky, especially after shaving my legs etc.

My fourteen year old has had a massive growth spurt over the last few months, going from roughly 5'2" to 5'8"Because of this quick growth he has gained some stretch marks on his knees and the middle of his back.The ones on his knees came first and so I bought this Bio Oil hoping that it would help with the red marks. After a couple of months of use the stretch marks are nearly invisible on his knees. You can see the odd one like a silvery colour but none are red.The stretch marks on his back are new and I have just started a week ago applying it to them too, so hoping for the same results.The price on here is much cheaper than my local supermarket and they also do a large size too.

I bought this for my partner who had a cluster of moles removed from her back. I'd heard about the so called properties of this product so I purchased it for her.You only need a tiny bit to cover the area you need - I usually just dab it on the affected area. If you put too much on it goes everywhere! Note it is quite greasy - I would sit this on something to avoid marking furniture.I put it on twice daily to the area, after nearly 3 months we have used less than an inch out of the bottle - would expect this to last a long time!As far as the scar reducing properties are concerned, I can't speak for that - her scar is still red and inflamed.

I used to buy it in health/beauty stores in the Uk. Since I found it at this good & stable price on Amazon, I've never looked anywhere else.It's a top selling lines in stores, obviously for a reason. In my personal experience, it does help revitalise your skin, as you feel it softer.I don't know if it helps scars or black spots. I hope it does but I will still use it anyway to keep it healthy.I prefer applying it at night time only. If you use it during the day, you feel it shiny on your face (Male face routine).Side effect:Even if I avoid applying near eyes, always feel my eyes blurry or kind of tired. May be it's just me, but if you splash cold water in your eyes, it really helps.

Bought this to help with my back spots and bumps I've been picking on, it's left little scars all across my back... not a pretty sight as its spotty all over. So, i started using this Bio-oil, hoping it'll replenish my skin, it did make noticible improvements over time, but my god i had to be patient. Applied this for nearly 4 months before I started noticing slight changes and this was using it everyday! (had to top up a lot via orders online or from sainsbury. around the 6 month mark my skin was gradually getting better. However, I didn't just use this, i did other treatments like apply moisturizer and eat lots of fruit which helped for sure. My Finally last advice is, apply the oil well,

As the title suggests I have found this product to be a miracle worker. To give a bit of background, 9 years ago I had a spinal cord injury which left me paralysed for two years. I discovered quite by accident during this time that using hot water bottles was drastically helping to improve the sensation in my legs (enough to eventually enable me to walk unaided). On the downside to this, I developed fairly horrendous burns that resembled brown lace work and nothing seemed to shift. I assumed this would be permanent after so many years and only really tried Bio-Oil on a whim. However I have been amazed - after about a week of applying this daily the burns are nowhere near as bad and continuing to fade.

I have used some awful scarring oils/creams and this has been one of the cheapest and best, not that I have a lot of scarring, but I used to have bouts of bad skin in my teens. I now use a retinoid emulsion serum on my face to prep the skin at night and then slap on a little bio oil on top! It works a treat as the bio oil is surprisingly light and does not clog my pores at all. A little goes a long way, although the bottle is not too large, and I wait a little while to let my skin absorb the oil before my head hits the pillow. You can use it topically on any part of your body really, has a very comforting scent to it too. I don't tend to like lavender, but I do like it in this little concoction surprisingly.

Well it could hurt to try it.It is interesting to note that it claims to help improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, aging and dehydrated skin. Unlike many such skin treatments it does not claim to make the scars or skin damage disappear.Always check for an allergic reaction by applying a small amount to an area of hidden skin for a couple of days to ensure that you don't have a reaction.

My sister bought me this for pregnancy stretch mark prevention and I was initially dubious - imagined it would be like rubbing cooking oil onto yourself! However it has a lovely smell and isn’t the greasy / sticky oil I imagined at all.I’m 38 weeks pregnant and have been using this nightly for around 4 months - bottle lasts about 3 months if using it on tummy once a day. My sister swears by it for acne scars / facial moisturising too!I haven’t got any stretch marks (yet!) although I believe these have a lot to do with genetics as much as using preventative treatments. It makes sense to keep skin moisturised though and I’ll certainly be using it for the rest of pregnancy.UPDATE - I didn’t end

All I can say again is amazing use it morning and night and beats all the expensive moisturisers I’ve used. I put it on after a shower and let it sink in before applying makeup etc then the same after taking my makeup off before bed only had it a short time maybe 2 weeks and can already see a huge difference in my skin looks so much healthier and fine lines seem less notice able already. I still use a moisturiser with spf during the day as have always used spf I honestly can not recommend enough my bottle came with the lid loose and I had a small leak over the box but still useable and these things do happen ordered so many things of amazon with hardly no problems this may of happend during

I have used bio oil in the past for different kinds of scars whether they be spot, rash or burn scars. It is the best scar fading oil out there as I have used many in the past as I scar easy and have a fair completion. I have more recentky used it on my legs to get rid of mosquito scars from my last holiday and it works a treat. I use it when I remember/have time but if u have very visible new scars especially burn, spot or rash, and you diligently rub into the area for about 10 mins once a day, (if your really self conscius about it then twice a day), within a couple of months the scar will of faded dramatically or be gone.

I used to buy expensive smaller bottles of this amazing oil and the I saw the 100ml bottle in Amazon for almost half price in comparison to the price you find in most high street drug-stores plus the p&p was for free. This bottle lasts for a long time and it visibly improves the appearance and texture of scars, stretch marks and dry skin and it absorbs really quickly leaving the skin soft and supple without an oily, sticky sensation. The only minus is the fact that its ingredients include mineral oil and for some people it can be less effective that pure natural oils (e.g: sweet almond oil) when for example, treating occasional very dry, flaky skin due to weather conditions or allergies.

It’s not too cheap because at boots and Superdrug is on offer for only £2 more.
