I am currently 31 weeks pregnant. From about 27 weeks I started to get small white stretch marks (I hadn't used any products up until this point) so I started to use bio oil twice a day. And suddenly within a week my bump was covered in deep purple stretch marks. I read through a few reviews on bio oil most people were raving over it but on some of the bad reviews people were claiming that bio oil enhanced there stretch marks and actually made them look worse!! I continued to use bio oil for a couple of weeks because other reviews were so good I thought I'd give it chance to work. But it did seem to be making them more purple and worse. So I started to look for something else,I came across Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Tummy Butter for Stretch Marks and Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks . The reviews were really good and reasonably cheap compared to bio oil. So I ordered them both. They arrived about a week ago and I've used both products every day and already my stretch marks have started to fade! I was actually shocked at how quickly they have started to go, they are no longer deep and purple looking they have faded so much in a week! I will be continuing to use these products throughout my pregnancy and hopefully won't develop any more. I would definitely recommend to use these from as early as possible in your pregnancy it is definitely worth the money!

When I began loosing weight I started noticing purple/red stretch marks appear on the inner and outer of my thighs. I was getting really self conscious about them as the stretch mark on my right inner thigh was travelling downwards. I'm going on holiday in a few months and all i was thinking about was how I was going to wear shorts or swimsuits when I've got this horrible red/purple stretch mark going down my leg. I started making my own salt scrubs using the peach body butter from the body shop and mixing it with quite a lot of table salt to get it feeling gritty. I started using this on my stretch marks every time I was in the shower. I also started using this cocoa butter cream 3 times a day.I would at least once out of the three massage is for a while on the area with stretch marks. I've been using the cream for a week now and I must say I'm seeing a difference. Not dramatically but parts of the stretch marks are turning a white colour which I'm happy about. The stretch marks are really fresh, so I don't know how long it would take to see a difference on older stretch marks but I highly recommend this cream for anyone who is having problems with red/purple stretch marks. I didn't see a difference until a week of using is 3 times daily so you really need to stick with this routine to see a difference. You can get this cream from boots for about £3.

value for money - i've been using this 0-4 times a week depending on how often i remember, for about 2 months and i'm only half way through it. for that price that's amazing!consistency - it's not runny but goes a long way and absorbs quite quicklysmell - amazing, chocolateyeffect - i'm going to keep using it because so far my stretch marks have lightened very significantly! they were such an angry red and now most of them are white and some are light purple, and they're less raised than before, so i have faith that they'll get better and better. i've never used anything that's had such satisfying results, it's so impressive.the appearance and texture has improved so much and the collagen and moisturising effect has meant that while i've been losing weight my skin isn't sagging which is a great bonus! my skin feels so soft for a few days after using this. i'm so happy with the results.i've been using a teaspoon of bio oil in my bath about once a week but i don't think that's what is improving my stretch marks as i've used it before and it had pretty much no effect and everyone says it's just a glorified moisturiser, but if you want to be sure to get good results you can just buy both, bio oil isn't very expensive anymore and goes a long way.i hope you guys all get great results too! :)

I have been using this liberally since the start of my pregnancy (I am now 7 months). Every single time my stomach gets scratchy, itchy, or prickly, I smooth some on. It is very soothing and works miracles for keeping the skin supple.Only downside is that a couple repeated uses throughout the day or for a couple days leads to it drying up, turning brown, and flaking. It is quite thick and creamy and leaves my hands feeling greasy. Small prices to pay for skin that is elastic and nearly stretch-mark free.I always apply it immediately after a warm shower or soak, in the morning, and right before bed (with in-between applications as necessary). Since I am naturally prone to stretch marks and have some elsewhere from different circumstances,I feel the liberal application is a necessity for this to work well. I have one stretch mark from pregnancy, and that is directly above my navel where the most stretching occured the swiftest. This cream seems to keep that stretch mark looking its best. The lotion may not work as well if not applied constantly or the growth of the belly is too fast. I would say its best quality, though, is how good it makes the skin feel!Hope this review helps someone out there.

I've only had this for one day but I'm already shocked. I have applied the cream twice to my upper bum where my stretch marks are and there is already a very noticeable difference. I've had these stretch marks for about a month or two and they started off red and turned to a dark purple colour. In one day they have gone from a bold dark purple, to a red colour that is not as dark or bold as the purple was. My boyfriend also noticed the difference before I got a chance to even ask.You should bare in mind that my stretch marks are not very old and I also have a condition that makes my naturally produced collagen faulty. I don't know if that could affect my results.I bought this because The reviews looked good and I agree with them already. I will edit my review to update on its effectiveness. The cream smells lovely and has made my skin feel soft. The cream spreads very well so I think that this bottle will last me a long time. I don't even need a full pump of cream to cover my entire bum (and my bum is a bit on the big side). It has already given me a little confidence boost and I am going to recommend this to my friend.

I first purchased this cream 6yrs + ago when I was pregnant with my eldest. I did use it semi regularly on bump along side the Bio-Oil, I'm not keen on oil though. Can't say I escaped with no stretch marks but I'm prone to them anyway. So why do I love this cream. When I was using it in pregnancy, I'd rub bump and then my hands and loved it as a hand moisturiser. It soaks in and leaves your hand feeling moisturised, and I have quite cold dry hands so it soaks in beautifully. I at some point ended up using it on my face one day and loved it there also. I have very sensitive skin and it doesn't trigger it at all it's great. It soaks straight in, doesn't feel like it's sitting on your skin, oily or other. Since then I have a bottle in several rooms in the house as I like to moisturise after every hand wash. I would be lost without it!! Occasionally someone will try and get me one as a gift and they always buy a non pregnancy version which just isn't the same / as nice for me. I like the smell, one of my friends doesn't but I would / and do recommend this to everyone <3 Sue

Okay - I cannot rave enough about this product! I looked all over and considered purchasing some of the really expensive stuff but after seeing the reviews on this I thought I would try this first! I have been using this for TWO days and I cannot believe the difference! I had some really deep purple stretch marks on my inner thighs and after two days of using this twice a day morning and night the marks are already 50% less indented and are fading to the normal colour of my skin! I literally am in shock! My older marks that are already white have started to smooth over as well but with less of a dramatic effect, but my lord, I cannot recommend this product enough!! Try this before you buy anything super expensive!!I cannot wait to see what prolonged use of this will do!! BUY THIS!!

My birthing stretch marks days are long gone but I have been using Palmers massage products for years now to keep my mature skin soft & supple. They work!I'm especially pleased with this lotion as it doesn't smell strongly of cocoa & once massaged into the skin it is quickly absorbed. Skin stays slightly moist over several hours but does not affect clothing. It can be used all over the body including your face. I find lotions & creams containing elastin much more effective for maintaining supple skin and this one fits the bill.I find that the pump design of this product is an additional bonus & I have one in the bathroom, kitchen & bedroom so I can use the Lotion throughout the day. It's a MUST HAVE for us golden gals,& even suitable for gents as well.

I've always been a fan of Palmers, though I have to admit that they're products are usually pretty heavy.Palmers is a bit like marmite, you either love or hate the smell.. but indifferent you won't be.My son loves that I use it and is always telling me I smell like a waffle (whilst cuddling me LOL)I used this particular product while I was pregnant with twins.I only got to 7 months before giving birth so didn't get the full twin bump. However, I did get quite big (akin to 8 months single pregnancy) and I don't have a single stretch mark.It IS a bit sticky, however I found that a plus when it came to holding up tights, knickers etc. It also lasts ALL day.If I were pregnant again,I'd go back to using it.I gave it 4/5 because of the stickiness.

After suffering from stretch marks after weight gain, I struggled to find a product that helped. I tried the usual bio-oil that was recommended but that did nothing. Before using this cream I had lots of stretch marks on my arms ranging Sro light pink to deep red. I used this cream mostly twice a day (aka when I remembered) and within a few weeks all of those light pink ones were just gone and the others have started to fade. One month in I'd say I still have about half the bottle left and are left with 3 stubborn deep red marks at the top of my arm, but I'm confident that over time these will also fade.

I have been using this since the week after I found out I was pregnant. I am now 34 weeks and have just gone onto my second bottle so it has lasted really well. It still has the palmers butter smell, but it isn't as strong ( a welcome relief for a pregnant nose..). It has a lovely texture, goes in quickly and all in all is a great product to use.But best of all, I have a huge bump (off the growth chart... seems I'm baking a big baby!) but I have no stretch marks. I am lucky to have good skin, but I think a lot of that has to do with this product and my daily use of it. A pregnancy must have for sure!

I am on my 3rd pregnancy and have been using it from the first one and dont have 1 stretch mark on my bump. From when my bump started showing I would use this every morning, I would then use bio oil at night. I think using both products combined definitely helped win not getting stretch marks. I did get marks on my thighs though and I think its because I did not use any creams in that area. I trully believe this has dramatically helped. The only con to this is that it will stop pumping at some point and there is still loads of cream left in the bottle and its very tricky to get it out.

I used bio oil and mama bee oil as I started getting bigger in pregnancy, i applied religiously and spent alot more money on them and also replacing them as they finished so I was extremely disappointed when I saw pink stretch marks appear on my belly. I started using samples of strech mark stuff I had and I already started noticing when trying this product so I purchased the full sized bottle and have been using about 2-3 times a day for the past few weeks and pleased to say those pink marks are gone and I haven't seen any new stretch marks since. I am currently 27 weeks pregnant.

I really love this product! I started using it roughly at about 3 months pregnant and it is one of those products that did not make me feel nauseous (as I did react to quite a few perfumed products). The texture of the cream is very pleasant and soft, made my skin moisturised and velvety to the touch. Absorbs quite quickly, but the moisture is retained throughout the whole day (I was normally applying it in the morning). Obviously, every person is different, but it seems to work for me keeping the stretch marks away. I would definitely recommend this product.

I had been using Bio oil for stretch marks during my pregnancy and went to re buy some more and saw the current price, so decided to look for an alternative that had good reviews and was cheaper. This product is fantastic and very satisfied. It was around £16 cheaper!! And feels lovely on the skin. I am 38 week's pregnant and use it twice a day. I already had stretch marks prior to my pregnancy, but they don't appear to have changed colour or have really developed anymore. Love this cream and will be purchasing some more to use post pregnancy as well.
