My son was so excited about getting this. Sadly, once the lengthy installation process completed, he left the room in tears. Put simply, the game was unplayable. The graphics were lagging horribly, and the game responded sluggishly to the controller. Sound was not affected. Much fiddling with the Xbox One settings followed, but nothing had improved. In desperation, I turned off the network on the Xbox, on the basis that Microsoft's advice to a game freezing is to test the network connection (and ours was fine). Hey presto, the game became playable and peace was restored. Much googling finally yielded an answer - having Join Multiplayer Games set to Blocked (an Xbox account setting) was the culprit, and a patch was in the works. 24 hours after the initial trauma, the patch is out, and does indeed solve the problem. Why this wasn't picked up in testing is beyond me - it is a kids' games, so blocking access to multiplayer games is something many parents are likely to do on their children's accounts! This is our first experience of Disney Infinity, and the game itself seems pretty good. I would have preferred the Star Wars theme to be from the original films (coming soon, unless you have a PS4, which is just annoying), but kids seem to enjoy the dreadful prequels and tedious Clone Wars soap opera. Given the price, it is good that there are plenty of things to do without even starting the playset game. In particular, Toybox mode has fantastic potential, but sadly a very clunky interface - perhaps inevitable given its complexity. Making anything worthwhile will take a lot of effort. Downloading content made by other users will also add extra mileage, assuming I can work out which security setting is blocking this option for my son's account.Of course, expect to be shelling out money to buy the new playsets and figures, which is going to get very expensive. We've been here before, and have a pile of Skylanders figures languishing unloved in a box somewhere to prove it. I'm suspicious that many of the additional figures are little more than window dressing, and will add very little to the in game experience. At least the different Skylanders all added personalised attacks, and there seems to be fewer classes of character to open up different areas of this game.

We are big fans of the Disney infinity series and they get better with each one, this one is brilliant so far and there is still much more to come. Firstly with this starter pack you get the play set for Star Wars Twilight of the republic and the two characters Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker so you can play with two players without having to purchase anything else. You also get the game disc of course where as well as the game itself you have the toy box which is actually my favourite part. The toy box is as big as your imagination, there is so much you can do, and with this third game the toy box has got so much better ,with much more being released in the coming months. This game has so much potential and yes you might end up spending on extras but it's not essential , the starter pack has plenty to do, you can use any characters you already have for the previous games and you can have fun building in the toy box but personally I think it's worth buying the extras, the power discs are no easier to get as they no longer come in blind bags and they add lots to the experience, the separate play sets are basically a whole new game, the toy box expansion games look fantastic for the price and add a whole new dimension and the characters, well it's down to players if they want to just get their favourites or collect them all, they aren't essential but I enjoy trying out the different characters and if you wait a while, the prices drop quite a lot.Overall I am very happy with this game, it's the best one yet and I look forward to adding on to it, I know we will have many hours of fun playing it.

Review split into 2 for infinity 3.0 and Twilight of the republic playset.Infinity 3.0:I've debated about buying Disney infinity for a while having played around in the toy boxes on the iOS app. Finally gave in because of the inclusion of Star Wars characters. Currently still deciding whether I like the open world/sandbox element of the game. On the one hand great for creativity and on the other I seem to have spent hours aimlessly wandering around areas hoping there was a little more to them. Great though for people wanting to try designing their own levels. LOVE the playset stuff though (what can I say, I like levels and goals!). There's a lot of inter-property references,I.e you gain access to additional content by placing your Disney world/Disney cruise line magic band on the base and lots of park related trivia.Twilight of the republic playset:Lots of fun playing as anakin and ahsoka. Love the inclusion of elements in the films/tv series without alienating non viewers. Ie planets visited are tatooine, geonosis and naboo but plot is set between episodes 2 and 3 while featuring one of the favourite sequences from episode 1. Spoiler alert: if you don't like Jar Jar it's probably best to stay away.

Disney infinity has been a revolutionary game franchise. From 1.0 to now the gaming industry has changed because of this unique toys to life video game. If you have been with Disney infinity since 1.0 and have all 59 main characters then you will almost definitely buy this simply to get more play time out of your old figures. If your new then welcome, you didn't have to buy with the very iffy 1.0 toy box so I congratulate you. I brought this single disc version as I have never cared for Star Wars and I don't have much money ( also amiibo now exist so me wallet is being torn). I intend to just by all things Disney, Pixar and Marvel for 3.0 and there is still a huge game for me just by doing that.Maybe in the June sales next year I'll pick up all the Star Wars content. Whatever your into, whatever you age. Disney infinity is as ever and more diverse then before, even the less creative of you out there can play community created toy boxes with 5 new ones hand picked by Disney coming out each week. If you a fan of any of the four brands in the game just go for it, it's a little expensive but I never intends to sell the figures. They will be on my shelf forever.

We’ve got all the disney Infinity games and have loved them all, this time we were going to purchase software only but at £30 with no figures it seemed better value to buy the starter pack which includes a couple of figures.Love Star Wars you will love this, aimed at the younger gamer as the missions are not particularly challenging, some are very easy, however there fun which is what the game is about.Yes I agree lots more figures to buy, however that’s not the first time that money has to be invested to get the best out of something, from my childhood I’ve been sucked in by the clever marketers, football cards was always my thing, trying to buy the pack with the missing card was to drain all my pocket money, this okay is more expensive but same marketing.I love these disney games, no blood and gore, just lots of fun, great detailed figures, graphics are amazing as its the music and sound effects, at least it gives my lad something to spend his pocket money on.

Yes I am a complete Star Wars super fan so just being able to play as my faverite Star Wars characters was enough for me to give it 5 stars. However my kids love this game so much I never even get near it. You can build up a collection of you faverites from, Marvel, Classic Disney movies and even Disney Pixar. Some characters come with play set or levels you can complete. All characters have there own skill trees which you can use to unlock their iconic moves snd powers. You can explore worlds and build worlds, you enemies and other Disney characters populating the worlds. Apparently you can do characters stories as well, have not been on it long enough to try this out. There is more than enough to keep every happy as long as the can get on it. ;-(

Another instalment in the Infinity franchise. My two boys aged 5 and 7 really enjoy this, though the 5 year old likes it more. Much like Skylanders and incorporates a lot of the themes in this series well (my wife, who is neither a gamer or star wars fan was really impressed with the Millenium Falcon section).Good honest and clean gaming fun. As with Skylanders, the added cost of additional figures is a little jarring, but some gumtree/ebay/Game Stores all provide cheaper second hand characters, which helps reduce the cost. I picked up some figures easily enough.A minor point of frustration is that the portal doesn't work with the Xbox One,which considering it is a USB device seems a little churlish.

A complete Star Wars starter pack for your games console; easy to install and great fun (it seems). There seems to be LOADS of play options for your child, and therefore lots to keep their imagination active as well as providing many hours of fun playing.Combine it with other play sets (mine wants The Force Awakens) and other characters and it has the potential for YEARS of fun.Okay, the add-on figures & playsets aren't exactly cheap BUT the amount of additional options for play that these give is incredible. My son chose this game himself after much web-searching and review-watching; to say he enjoys this game would be a huge understatement. What more could a parent ask for out of a game, really?

I've always enjoyed the disney infinity games and "enjoyed" is about all I've ever done, when I've been playing them, I've enjoyed it, none have ever made me want to come back to it as soon as i had chance, they've always been the "if i can't be bothered with anything else" kinda games... Until now! Playing through the star wars starter set is a delight, responsive controls that are simple yet because you're a jedi with lightsabres, makes it look and feel so good. So far I'm loving the story adventure and even the toy box mode this time around, something i normally only did when playing along with the kids and i can't wait for the other star ways playset to be released for more fun times.

It wasn't until after I bought this I realised Infinity is no more. Still love, love the product. Comes with the base and two Star Wars figures (Anakin and Asuka) as well as the game crystal.Love what I have played of the game so far and looking forward to playing more. Please note, all online features of Disney infinity have been taken down. You cannot create a Disney account any more so this game has no access to online content.Even so I was never much of an online gamer anyway and very happy with the story based game included. Have since bought plenty more infinity figures and very happy with them all!

Excellent 'toys to life" product, which I scooped for an absolute bargain via Amazon Warehouse deals. Kids delighted! Buyers of Disney Infinity products should be aware that Disney (sadly) discontinued its Infinity production after the last (3.0) release. However, all characters from the Infinity 1.0 and 2.0 releases are also playable in the Toybox section of Infinity 3.0 (which is good news). Despite the demise of the Infinity series, there are still many hours of entertainment to be had from this franchise, and the figure are wonderfully crafted and collectable in their own right. : )

We were new to Disney infinity so needed a starter pack and this was perfect for my Star Wars mad little boy. It's user friendly even for the most clueless of people when it comes to consoles (and by clueless people, I mean me). The good thing about the 3.0 version is all the figures and discs from the previous versions can be used with it too. We are already adding to our collection with other figures, my Daughter has Elsa and Anna which can also be used at the same time as the star wars figures, so there really is something for everyone.

I purchased this as my kids have just acquired an older Xbox360 with some games and this included Infinity 1.0 and 2.0, however the software won;t load without the pad connected to it. After some searching I found this which is a bargain price of £5 (which was cheaper than a second hand one on ebay) and includes a couple of star wars characters, along with Infinity 3.0Granted this is now discontinued, but it certainly allows for hours more playing for the kids with this addon to your Xbox.

My boys got this the day after release and have been playing it, they all seem to enjoy it they just have the figures that came with the pack so far and there has been enough to keep them busy for a few hours, the toy box mode is much better, there's more to do you can build all the star wars ships and race the cars the accessories are easy to get (according to the eldest). They are enjoying the game play as well and i am sure they will get more out of it with more figures.
